What our customers are saying:
Everybody was great to work with highly professional. Any underlying damage was all taken care of and we love the roof.
> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.
Jonathan was great help getting us all the information needed for the roof and what to expect, and the whole process. The installation was fast, the roofers were hard working and professional. The look of the metal roof is superb!
It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.
What a beautiful roof. We are so happy and now we have a forever roof. Thank you. Techs were great. Positive: Punctuality, Quality Services: Roof installation
Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.
Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.
This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!
I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.
Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.
I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.
Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Morris
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Morris, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Morris.
Will a metal roof hold up through Connecticut's freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes—aluminum is engineered for this exact stress. Morris experiences about 72 freeze-thaw days per year, a brutal cycle that cracks asphalt and splits wood shakes. Aluminum expands and contracts uniformly without cracking or splintering because it has no grain, no pores, and no moisture absorption. The four-way interlocking panels accommodate movement at the seams, and the Alunar 70% PVDF coating (warranted 30 years against cracking) protects the underlying alloy. After 27 years in service across Canada and the U.S., Interlock panels show no fatigue failure from freeze-thaw.
How does a metal roof handle Morris's snow load and ice dams?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more effectively than asphalt because they have a smoother, harder surface and conduct heat slightly away from the edge, reducing ice dam formation. Morris averages about 65 cm of snow per year. The lightweight design—the Slate profile installs at just 0.41 lb/sq ft—means no structural reinforcement is needed, even under heavy snow. When installed over a solid deck and proper underlayment (standard practice), the roof resists leaking even during rapid thaw events. Snow guards are available if snow sliding is a concern for walkways below.
Can a metal roof handle the heavy rain we get here?
Heavy rainfall in Morris (about 1232 mm per year) demands overlap protection and proper drainage—both engineered into Interlock's four-way interlocking panel design. The overlapping profiles seal water out mechanically; each panel locks into its neighbors on all four sides, eliminating the gapped seams found in cheaper metal roofs. When installed over a solid deck with underlayment and to the ICC-ES ESR-1790 standard, the roof drains quickly and reliably. No pooling, no standing water, no leaks—even during the sustained rainfall common in spring and fall in Litchfield County.
Is metal roofing strong enough for Connecticut wind gusts?
Morris typical wind gusts reach about 126 km/h, and Interlock roofs are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking panels lock together mechanically—the system doesn't rely on adhesive or fastener friction alone. This interlocking geometry distributes wind load across the entire roof surface rather than stressing individual fasteners. The panels are fastened per ESR-1790 code; installed correctly, they stay in place in the strongest seasonal storms.
Why can't aluminum roofs rust like steel ones?
Aluminum cannot rust because rust is iron oxide, and aluminum contains no iron. Instead, aluminum naturally forms a thin, invisible oxide layer that self-heals when scratched—a passive process that has protected aluminum structures for over a century. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish (applied to both sides of every panel) adds a second barrier, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. Even in harsh coastal environments with salt spray, Interlock panels have been installed for decades without rust perforation. In Morris's moderate inland climate with about 1232 mm annual rainfall, corrosion resistance is not a concern.
Can my roof framing handle metal roofing, or do I need reinforcement?
No reinforcement is needed. The Interlock Mediterranean Tile profile is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile and installs at roughly 0.59 lb/sq ft. Even the Shake profile (0.58 lb/sq ft) weighs a fraction of what traditional roofing materials demand. Most existing home framing can support metal roofing; the structural relief means you avoid expensive beam work, sistering joists, or new trusses. This lightweight advantage also makes installation faster and safer, reducing labor cost. Your installer will verify your deck condition during the site visit.
What's the real warranty on a metal roof, and how long does it last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—it covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance with no time or condition limits. The warranty is one-time transferable to the next owner, extending 50 years from completion. This structure is unique among roofing warranties because metal roofs actually improve with age: they don't degrade the way asphalt does. You're buying your last roof; future owners inherit a functioning one. At 25+ years, most asphalt roofs fail; Interlock panels are still performing.
Will a metal roof get dented in hail, and does it affect my insurance?
Interlock roofs are rated UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. While Class 4 panels may show minor cosmetic denting from extreme hail (extremely rare in Litchfield County), they don't lose structural integrity or leak. Many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 metal roofs because the risk of water damage is so low. Contact your agent with your roof's UL 2218 rating; several major Connecticut insurers already recognize this benefit and adjust rates accordingly.
Will a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient colors in the Interlock line achieve thermal emissivity of 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect rather than absorb summer heat. The Cool Roof Rating Council has verified this performance. In Morris, with about 3134 annual sunshine hours, a reflective metal roof reduces the heat load transmitted to your attic compared to dark asphalt shingles. The energy savings vary by color choice and attic ventilation, but measurable cooling cost reductions are typical. Light-colored metal roofs also stay cooler to the touch, reducing localized heat island effects.
How long does metal roof installation take, and can you install it over my existing roof?
Installation typically takes 3–5 days for a residential home, depending on size and existing roof condition. Interlock metal roofing can be installed over most existing asphalt, wood, or tile roofs without tear-off—the lightweight design (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft) adds minimal load. Your installer inspects the deck for rot or soft spots and repairs them; underlayment and flashing are installed per ESR-1790 code. Installing over existing material saves labor and landfill disposal costs. Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc. has served this region since 1999 and completes most residential projects efficiently, minimizing disruption to your home.
