> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.

Review: November 15, 2024 Completion: November 19, 2024

It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.

Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.

Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.

This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!

I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.

Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.

Review: August 25, 2007 Completion: April 27, 2007

I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.

Review: June 2, 2006 Completion: July 25, 2005

Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Lakeville

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Lakeville, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Lakeville.

Will a metal roof hold up through Connecticut winters with all the freeze-thaw cycles?

Yes—aluminum's non-porous oxide layer actually becomes more durable through freeze-thaw stress. Lakeville experiences about 92 freeze-thaw days per year, which degrades asphalt shingles and splits wood, but aluminum panels expand and contract uniformly without cracking, curling, or losing integrity. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) is engineered for exactly this cycling, with no water absorption to cause internal damage. After 27 years of installations from coastal salt air to Antarctic research stations, Interlock has zero reported freeze-thaw failures.

How does a metal roof perform with Lakeville's heavy snow load?

Metal roofs shed snow more efficiently than asphalt due to the smooth, interlocking panel design and low friction surface. Lakeville averages about 95 cm of snow annually, and the four-way interlocking system prevents ice dams by allowing water to channel safely off the roof. The panels are warranted to resist wind gusts up to 120 mph (193 km/h)—well above Lakeville's typical peak gust speeds of 117 km/h—so accumulated snow and ice won't compromise the roof's structural integrity. Optional snow guards are available to match your profile.

With 1,060 mm of annual rainfall in Lakeville, how do the interlocking panels prevent leaks?

The four-way interlocking design creates a sealed, overlapped surface that sheds water faster than it can accumulate. Lakeville's annual rainfall of about 1,060 mm is typical for New England, and the Interlock system channels water downward and outward through mechanically locked seams—no exposed fasteners, no sealant dependency. When installed over a solid deck with proper underlayment (per ESR-1790 guidelines), the roof performs identically to asphalt in heavy rain. The Guardian Warranty covers any leakage due to material failure, giving you lifetime peace of mind.

Why choose aluminum over steel roofing in Connecticut's wet climate?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that actually protects the metal underneath. Steel roofs require constant maintenance in Litchfield County's moisture-rich climate (about 1,060 mm rain yearly), but aluminum becomes more corrosion-resistant over time. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of every panel and warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214/D2244), adding an extra barrier in salt-air and high-humidity environments. This dual protection means zero rust stains, no deterioration, and no repainting needed.

Can my house's framing support a metal tile roof without reinforcement?

Yes—the Interlock Mediterranean Tile profile weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it roughly 96% lighter than actual clay or concrete tile. This exceptional lightness means most homes in Lakeville can install Interlock over existing asphalt without any structural reinforcement, saving thousands in framing upgrades. The Standing Seam and Shake profiles are even lighter. Because aluminum is non-combustible and ICC-ES evaluated (ESR-1790), structural load is reviewed by code—but in practice, the low weight eliminates the major barrier that keeps homeowners from choosing tile aesthetics.

Does Interlock's hail rating help with homeowner's insurance in Connecticut?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4-rated roofs, though discounts vary by carrier and policy. Lakeville's location in a moderate-hail region, combined with the four-way interlocking panel design that distributes impact force, makes a strong case to your insurance agent for rate reduction. Request a copy of your UL 2218 Class 4 certificate and the Guardian Warranty when you apply—these documents strengthen your claim for a lower premium.

Will a metal roof survive Lakeville's winter wind gusts?

The four-way interlocking panels are mechanically locked and warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h)—nearly 1.8 times the peak gust speeds recorded in Lakeville (about 117 km/h). Winter storms in Litchfield County bring powerful sustained winds, but the overlapping seam design distributes lateral force across the entire roof plane rather than concentrating it at fastener points. The Guardian Warranty guarantees this performance over the lifetime of the original owner, so you're not betting on an untested design—Interlock has installed roofs in hurricane-force and mountain-wind zones for 27 years without widespread wind failures.

Will a metal roof help lower cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient colors with thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) reflect heat that asphalt absorbs, reducing attic temperatures and air-conditioning load. Lakeville receives about 3,034 sunshine hours per year, so summer heat gain is meaningful. Cool Roof Rating Council testing confirms that reflective metal profiles stay cooler than dark asphalt, especially in June–August. The energy benefit compounds over 50+ years of ownership—one reason the energy-efficiency certification and transferable lifetime warranty make metal roofing a long-term value play in New England's sunny seasons.

How much maintenance does an Interlock metal roof need in Connecticut?

Essentially none beyond annual gutter cleaning and debris removal—far less than asphalt, wood shake, or tile. Asphalt shingles degrade under Lakeville's 92 freeze-thaw cycles per year and require algae treatment, tar repair, and eventual replacement. Wood shake splits and rots in the region's 1,060 mm annual rainfall. Concrete tile cracks and loosens. Aluminum panels do not curl, split, crack, or rot; the 30-year Alunar coating prevents chalking and fading; the non-porous material sheds moisture instantly. CALGreen verification confirms Interlock's reduced-maintenance profile, making it ideal for homeowners who want a true set-it-and-forget-it roof.

What's the real lifespan and warranty of an Interlock roof in Connecticut?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. Upon resale, it transfers once and extends 50 years from completion—making it one of the industry's strongest transferable protections. In practice, Interlock panels have been in service since 1998 in climates far harsher than Lakeville's (coastal salt air, extreme cold, heavy snow); field evidence suggests 60+ year material life. Combined with the 30-year coating warranty and ESR-1790 code approval through 2025, you're buying effectively the last roof you'll install.
