> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.

Review: November 15, 2024 Completion: November 19, 2024

It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.

Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.

Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.

This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!

I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.

Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.

Review: August 25, 2007 Completion: April 27, 2007

I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.

Review: June 2, 2006 Completion: July 25, 2005

Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Salisbury

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Salisbury, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Salisbury.

How does a metal roof handle heavy snow in Salisbury winters?

Interlock metal roofing sheds snow and ice effectively because its smooth, interlocking aluminum panels prevent accumulation and ice dam formation—critical in Salisbury, where you receive about 95 cm of snow annually. The panels' light weight (Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means no structural reinforcement is needed, even under snow load. Four-way interlocking design creates a unified surface that slopes water away. Optional snow guards are available if you want snow to remain longer for aesthetic reasons. The warranty covers installation to spec for all New England snow conditions.

Will freeze-thaw cycles damage an aluminum roof in Connecticut?

No. Salisbury experiences approximately 92 freeze-thaw cycles per year, but aluminum roofing is immune to the damage that affects asphalt and wood. Aluminum cannot rust or rot because it contains no iron; its oxide layer self-heals when scratched. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating—applied to both sides and warranted 30 years—protects against weathering and salt air exposure. Freeze-thaw cycles that crack asphalt shingles and split wood shake simply don't affect metal. The Guardian Warranty covers cracking, splitting, and curling for the life of the roof.

Can an aluminum roof rust?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron, the element that oxidizes and corrodes in steel. When aluminum's protective oxide layer is scratched, it self-heals automatically—a unique property that makes it ideal for climates with 1060 mm of annual rainfall like Salisbury. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) is engineered for longevity. Add the two-sided Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against fading and chalking, and you have a system that handles wet, freeze-thaw conditions without corrosion risk. Steel roofs require constant maintenance; aluminum does not.

Can a metal roof withstand Connecticut wind gusts?

Yes. Salisbury's typical wind gusts reach 117 km/h, and Interlock roofing is warranted to resist sustained winds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels create a unified surface that distributes wind load evenly across the roof. Each panel locks to its neighbor on all four sides, eliminating the lift points where high winds find purchase on shingle roofs. The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 confirms wind performance per IBC/IRC code. Installation by Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc.—serving your region since 1999—ensures proper fastening and sealing.

Does hail damage metal roofs, and can I save on homeowner's insurance?

Interlock roofing is rated UL 2218 Class 4, the highest impact rating available. It's warranted against perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches—far larger than the typical hailstone. The non-combustible aluminum construction and superior impact resistance often qualify for homeowner's insurance discounts in areas prone to severe weather. Ask your insurer about lower rates; many recognize the durability advantage. With 3034 hours of annual sunshine in Salisbury, you'll enjoy energy savings as well. Class A fire classification is available if required by your municipality.

Is a metal roof really worth the cost in Connecticut?

The upfront cost of Interlock metal roofing is typically 15–30% higher than asphalt shingles, but the total cost of ownership favors metal decisively. Asphalt requires replacement every 15–25 years; Interlock carries a lifetime limited, non-prorated warranty for the original owner and a transferable 50-year term for the next owner. Over 50 years, you eliminate 2–3 asphalt replacements, tear-offs, and landfill fees. Energy-efficient colors reduce cooling costs year-round. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. This is the last roof you'll buy.

Do I need to reinforce my house for a metal roof?

No structural reinforcement is required. Interlock Slate weighs just 0.41 lb/sq ft; the Tile profile is approximately 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Your home's framing—already sized to support asphalt—easily handles metal roofing. In fact, the light weight is an advantage in Salisbury's climate: it reduces structural stress during the 92 annual freeze-thaw cycles and allows installation over most existing roofs without removal. This means lower labor costs, less disruption, and faster installation. The ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 confirms installation compliance over existing roofing systems.

Will a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?

Energy-efficient Interlock colors are energy-efficient and Cool Roof Rating Council rated. They feature thermal emissivity of 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they reflect heat that asphalt absorbs. With 3034 annual sunshine hours in Salisbury, this translates to measurable cooling savings, especially on south- and west-facing slopes. Metal roofing doesn't absorb and re-radiate heat into the attic like dark asphalt. Over a 50-year roof life, energy savings compound significantly. The reflective benefit also reduces roof surface temperature, extending coating life and improving comfort.

How long does it take to install a metal roof in Salisbury?

Installation timeline depends on roof size and complexity, typically 2–5 days for an average residential roof. Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc. has served your region since 1999 and understands local permitting and weather windows. A key advantage: metal roofing installs over most existing asphalt or wood roofs without removal, cutting labor and eliminating tear-off waste. This also reduces installation costs and project disruption. Weather delays are minimal because metal panels are installed quickly once on-site. The four-way interlocking system ensures sealing without extensive caulking. Your installer will coordinate permits and final inspection per Connecticut building code and ESR-1790 compliance.

Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt?

Yes. Interlock aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable; at end of life, it returns to manufacturing without quality loss. Asphalt shingles—typically replaced every 20 years—end up in landfills by the millions of tons annually, contributing nothing to circular economy. Over 50 years, choosing metal eliminates 2–3 landfill-bound asphalt tear-offs in Salisbury. Aluminum production requires energy, but recycled content is increasingly common. The durability advantage is decisive: one 50-year metal roof versus multiple asphalt replacements means far less manufacturing, trucking, and waste. CALGreen verification confirms reduced maintenance burden. Metal roofing aligns with modern environmental responsibility.
