> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.

Review: November 15, 2024 Completion: November 19, 2024

It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.

Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.

Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.

This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!

I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.

Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.

Review: August 25, 2007 Completion: April 27, 2007

I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.

Review: June 2, 2006 Completion: July 25, 2005

Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Falls Village

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Falls Village, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Falls Village.

Does a metal roof handle heavy snow in Connecticut winters?

Metal roofing handles snow exceptionally well, and Interlock panels are engineered for climates like Falls Village, which receives about 95 cm of snow annually. The four-way interlocking aluminum design prevents water infiltration even when snow melts and refreezes. Because aluminum panels weigh only 0.41 lb/sq ft for the Shingle profile—roughly 96% lighter than slate or tile—snow loads don't stress your home's structure. The hard, slippery surface naturally sheds accumulation, and optional snow guards keep slides controlled if desired.

Will a metal roof crack or warp in Falls Village's freeze-thaw cycles?

No—aluminum cannot crack or warp from freeze-thaw stress because it has no moisture absorption and expands uniformly across temperature swings. Falls Village experiences roughly 92 freeze-thaw days annually, a significant cycling stress that destroys asphalt, wood shingles, and concrete tile over time. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy, verified under ICC-ES ESR-1790, maintains integrity through unlimited thermal cycles. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against degradation per ASTM standards, protects each panel on both sides—especially important where moisture alternates between ice and melt.

Can an aluminum roof rust or corrode in a wet Connecticut climate?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes and weakens steel. Instead, aluminum develops a microscopically thin, self-healing oxide layer that protects the core metal permanently. In Falls Village's ~1060 mm of annual rainfall, this distinction matters: steel roofs corrode from the inside out, especially where water pools or fasteners create galvanic couples. Interlock's Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish (applied to both sides) adds decades of extra protection, and the Guardian lifetime warranty explicitly covers rusting—a risk that simply doesn't exist with aluminum.

Can an aluminum metal roof survive Connecticut wind gusts?

Yes—Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, well above Falls Village's typical gust extremes of about 117 km/h (~73 mph). The interlocking design distributes wind load across the entire roof rather than concentrating stress on individual fasteners. This system earns ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 compliance with current IBC and IRC wind standards. Over the ~3034 annual sunshine hours and frequent Atlantic weather systems, the locked seams remain secure without the progressive fastener corrosion or lift-off failures that plague asphalt shingles in repeated wind cycles.

Does a metal roof resist hail damage, and can it lower my insurance?

Interlock panels achieve UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible aluminum construction often qualifies for homeowners insurance discounts because hail claims are virtually impossible and fire risk is eliminated. Unlike asphalt, wood, or tile—which crack, split, or shatter under impact—aluminum's ductility absorbs energy without permanent deformation. Falls Village's severe weather exposure makes this durability practical, not theoretical. Request an insurance quote after installation; many carriers reduce premiums for Class 4 rated roofing.

How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof need?

Aluminum metal roofing requires virtually no maintenance—no seasonal inspections, no repairs, no coating reapplication. Asphalt shingles deteriorate visibly within 10–15 years and need repairs annually; wood shingles split and cup; concrete tile cracks and moss grows. Interlock's non-porous, non-organic surface sheds debris, resists algae, and never needs cleaning. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, verified under CALGreen standards for reduced maintenance, stays colorfast across Falls Village's 1060 mm annual rain and 3034 sunshine hours without degradation for 30 years. This is the last roof you'll maintain—or ever need to think about.

Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt?

Metal roofing costs more initially but becomes the financially smarter choice over the roof's lifespan. A typical asphalt roof lasts 15–20 years and requires replacement twice during an aluminum roof's 50+ year life. Interlock's Guardian warranty is non-prorated for the original owner—meaning no deductibles, no depreciation—and transfers once to the next owner for 50 years total protection. Factor in zero maintenance costs, energy savings from reflective coatings (initial solar reflectance up to 0.55), potential insurance discounts, and avoided tear-off labor, and the total cost of ownership over 50 years favors aluminum significantly. Current financing offers no payments or interest until Spring 2027.

What's the warranty on an Interlock metal roof?

The Guardian lifetime limited warranty is non-prorated for the original owner and covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—essentially every failure mode that affects traditional roofing materials. It transfers once to the next owner, providing 50 years of coverage from completion. This differs fundamentally from asphalt warranties, which are prorated, require documentation, and exclude most real-world failure modes. Because aluminum cannot rust, cannot rot, and doesn't absorb moisture, the warranty reflects material reality rather than marketing. This is the last roof purchase most homeowners will make.

Will I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof?

No structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock's Slate profile installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft, the Shake at 0.58, and the Mediterranean Tile at 0.59 lb/sq ft—approximately 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Most existing roof structures can support these weights without modification. This lightweight advantage means you can install Interlock directly over your current asphalt shingles or old cedar shake without tearing off, removing layers of debris, or hiring structural engineers. Falls Village's approximately 95 cm of snow annually adds meaningful load, but aluminum's exceptional strength-to-weight ratio distributes that load safely—a benefit impossible with traditional tile or slate.

Can a metal roof be installed over my existing shingles?

Yes—one of metal roofing's major advantages is that Interlock can install directly over existing asphalt, wood, or even old tile without removal, provided the deck is sound and properly prepared. This speeds installation, reduces labor costs, and eliminates the debris hauling and landfill fees of a full tear-off. The local installer, Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc., has served the region since 1999 and understands Falls Village's specific structural conditions and permitting requirements. Installation typically takes days rather than weeks, causes minimal disruption, and the four-way interlocking system ensures watertight seams from day one. Discuss your current roof condition with your installer to confirm suitability.
