Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Atlantic Beach

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Atlantic Beach, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Atlantic Beach.

Will a metal roof rust in Atlantic Beach's salt air and moisture?

No. Interlock panels are roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy with zero iron content—aluminum cannot rust. Instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that actually protects the metal when scratched. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating on both sides (30-year warranty against fading) adds another defense. With Atlantic Beach's 1214 mm annual rainfall and coastal salt exposure, aluminum outperforms steel, which requires paint maintenance and eventually corrodes. Your roof won't need rust treatment or recoating.

How does a metal roof hold up to Atlantic Beach's freeze-thaw cycles?

Aluminum's expansion coefficient is low and predictable, so freeze-thaw cycling doesn't crack, split, or curl it the way it does asphalt, wood, and clay. Atlantic Beach experiences about 58 freeze-thaw days yearly with average snowfall around 55 cm—conditions that age other materials fast. The four-way interlocking panels lock tight even as temperatures swing, and the aluminum substrate resists the micro-fractures that break down shingles. Your roof won't develop the surface degradation or granule loss that accelerate aging in freeze climates.

Does Atlantic Beach snow load damage a lightweight metal roof?

No. Snow load engineering uses roof pitch and local snowfall history, not material weight alone. Atlantic Beach averages 55 cm snow yearly. Interlock's panels install at just 0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft (the Tile profile is 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile), so your existing frame handles the load without reinforcement. The smooth, hard surface also sheds snow and ice more readily than rough asphalt, which traps moisture and creates ice dams. If you add snow guards for architectural preference, the light panels support them without structural strain.

Are Interlock panels safe in Atlantic Beach's coastal wind gusts?

Yes. The panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Atlantic Beach sees typical daily winds around 22 km/h with gusts up to 136 km/h during storms. The four-way interlocking design locks each panel to its neighbors, distributing lateral force across the entire roof rather than relying on fasteners alone. This redundancy, plus ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 compliance, means your roof stays secure through the gust events common to Nassau County's coastal location.

Will a metal roof lower my homeowners insurance premiums in Atlantic Beach?

Possibly. Interlock panels meet UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty covers hail perforation up to 1.5 inches. Many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofing because it reduces the frequency and severity of damage claims. Contact your carrier to ask about a metal roof discount before installing; some offer 5–15% savings. Atlantic Beach's coastal exposure and hail risk make impact resistance a recognized value to insurers, so a Class 4 roof can pay for itself over time in reduced premiums.

Do reflective metal roofs cut cooling costs in Atlantic Beach?

Yes, in part. Interlock's energy-efficient colors achieve solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84, reflecting heat that dark asphalt absorbs. Atlantic Beach receives about 3193 sunshine hours per year—enough to make reflectance matter in warmer months. The cooling benefit is most dramatic in air-conditioned spaces and south-facing roofs. While Atlantic Beach's mean temperature of 12.5°C means heating dominates annual energy use, a reflective roof reduces peak summer cooling demand and lowers heat island effect in your neighborhood. Combine it with proper ventilation for maximum savings.

What does Interlock's lifetime warranty actually cover in Atlantic Beach?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—the failure modes that plague asphalt, wood, and tile in Atlantic Beach's 1214 mm rainfall and 55 cm snow. It's also one-time transferable to the next owner for 50 years from completion. This means you buy once and never tear off asphalt again. It's your last roof. Paired with the Alunar coating's 30-year fade warranty, you have peace of mind that matches the product's 27-year manufacturing history.

Is a metal roof more eco-friendly than asphalt shingles?

Yes. Interlock panels are about 95% recyclable aluminum; at end of life, they return to the supply chain as raw material, not landfill. Asphalt shingles—the dominant roof in Atlantic Beach—contain bitumen and fiberglass that don't decompose and occupy landfills for decades. A 2000 sq ft roof tear-off generates roughly 10 tons of waste. Over Atlantic Beach's 1214 mm annual rainfall and 55 cm snow cycles, asphalt degrades fast and requires replacement every 20–25 years. Aluminum breaks the replace-tear-off-trash cycle. By choosing Interlock, you avoid multiple tear-offs and their carbon footprint, making your roof a sustainability asset when you sell.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Atlantic Beach?

Interlock Roofing of America serves Atlantic Beach and Nassau County. The team has installed Interlock systems since 2014, giving them deep familiarity with coastal salt air, heavy rainfall around 1214 mm yearly, and freeze-thaw cycling common to the region. They understand local permitting, work with Atlantic Beach building departments, and install according to ICC-ES ESR-1790 specifications. Choosing a local, experienced installer means faster project completion, familiarity with neighborhood conditions, and accessible warranty service. Contact them for a site assessment and installation timeline tailored to your home.

Can you install a metal roof over my existing shingles in Atlantic Beach?

Yes. Interlock's extraordinary lightness—0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile—means the panels install over most existing roofs without structural reinforcement. This saves time and money by eliminating tear-off labor and landfill fees. Your installer will inspect the deck for integrity, add underlayment for moisture and thermal performance, then install the interlocking panels. The process is faster than full tear-off and install, and the retained base layer adds insulation value. Over-install also protects your home during construction. Interlock Roofing of America can assess your roof's readiness and provide a timeline.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Atlantic Beach’s climate?

Yes. Atlantic Beach averages about 55 cm of snow, 1214 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 136 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
