| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |
|---|---|
| Wind resistance: 120+ mph (193+ kph) | Extreme wind, hurricanes, storm uplift: full interlocking attachment helps prevent blow-offs, edge lifting, and panel loss in high-gust events. |
| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |

What our customers are saying:
I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.
I wasted 4 months of my time thinking i will have a beautiful metal roof just to learn that interlock will not be able to do it after all
Interlock Roofing could have improved their communication.
I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.
We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.
I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.
My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.
To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Carle Place
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Carle Place, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Carle Place.
Will an aluminum metal roof hold up through New York winters with all the freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes—aluminum's oxide layer actually strengthens it in freeze-thaw conditions rather than degrading like asphalt or wood. Carle Place sees about 66 freeze-thaw days per year, and aluminum expands and contracts predictably without cracking, splitting, or curling. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 alloy (ASTM B209) has no iron, so ice buildup won't trigger rust. The four-way interlocking panels stay locked tight through repeated temperature swings, keeping water out during that 1251 mm of annual rain.
How does a metal roof handle Carle Place's snow and ice load?
Metal roofing handles snow efficiently because it's engineered to shed it safely rather than trap moisture underneath. Carle Place averages about 63 cm of snow annually, and Interlock's aluminum panels weigh as little as 0.41 lb/sq ft (the Shingle profile), so snow doesn't overload your structure the way it would with traditional tile. Snow can slide off naturally in winter sun, and optional snow guards are available if you want controlled melting. The light weight also means no structural reinforcement is needed—you install directly over most existing roofs.
Does heavy rainfall ever leak through a metal roof?
The four-way interlocking panel design prevents water penetration regardless of rainfall volume. Carle Place receives about 1251 mm of rain per year, and the mechanical lock between panels—not sealant—sheds water as it runs downslope. Installation over a solid deck with underlayment (as specified in ESR-1790, the ICC-ES evaluation) creates a complete barrier. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating on both panel sides protects against weathering, but the real leak protection is in the interlocking geometry itself. Properly installed, these roofs perform identically to asphalt in heavy rain.
Can a metal roof stay secure during Carle Place's windstorms?
The warranty covers wind resistance up to 120 mph, well above typical gusts in Nassau County. Carle Place's average gusts reach about 135 km/h (roughly 84 mph) with occasional higher extremes, but the four-way interlocking panels lock together mechanically—each panel grips its neighbors on all sides. This interlocking geometry, combined with proper fastening to spec, distributes wind load across the entire roof system instead of putting stress on individual fasteners. The roof doesn't lift or flutter because the panels themselves form a unified structure.
Will hail damage my metal roof, and can I get an insurance discount?
Interlock's aluminum panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This means hail damage claims are rare and minor cosmetic dents (which don't affect performance) may not trigger an insurance claim at all. Many insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 rated roofs because the claim history is so low. Your agent can review your policy, but the engineering behind Class 4 certification means you're protected in ways asphalt shingles simply aren't.
Can aluminum roofing rust in a humid climate like New York?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Unlike steel roofing, which relies on paint or coatings to prevent oxidation, aluminum develops a thin oxide layer that heals itself when scratched—a property called passivation. Even in salt-air coastal environments, the roofing-grade 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 alloy (ASTM B209) resists corrosion, which is why Interlock has installed panels from the Atlantic seaboard to an Antarctic research station. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating, applied to both sides and warranted 30 years against fading, adds another layer of protection. For Carle Place's climate, this means zero risk of rust stains or structural corrosion.
How does the total cost of a metal roof compare to replacing asphalt shingles multiple times?
Asphalt typically lasts 15–20 years and you replace it 3 or 4 times over 60 years; Interlock's aluminum carries a lifetime limited warranty (non-prorated for the original owner, then one transferable 50-year term). The Guardian Warranty covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, and curling—all the failure modes that end asphalt's life. While metal costs more upfront, you eliminate the labor and disposal costs of multiple tear-offs. You also recover roughly 95% of the material's value at the end of life through recycling, whereas asphalt shingles end up in landfills. Amortized over the roof's life, the math favors aluminum.
How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof actually need?
Very little compared to wood, clay tile, or asphalt. Asphalt shingles require moss treatment, gutter cleaning from granule breakdown, and frequent inspections for curling or missing sections. Aluminum panels don't split, rot, or curl, and the Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists fading and chalking over 30 years (ASTM D4214/D2244). Gutters stay cleaner because aluminum doesn't shed granules. Carle Place's 1251 mm of rain and 3115 annual sunshine hours mean the roof self-cleans during storms and the coating resists UV damage. Periodic inspection for debris is standard practice, but the material itself requires no remedial treatment.
Can a reflective metal roof actually lower cooling costs in the summer?
Yes—energy-efficient colors like Aged Copper Penny achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they reflect heat that dark asphalt absorbs and re-radiates into the attic. Carle Place enjoys about 3115 hours of annual sunshine, so that reflectance matters during warm months. Cool Roof Rating Council ratings verify this performance. The lighter the roof color, the more heat bounces back; this can reduce attic temperature by 15–30 degrees on a sunny day, lowering air-conditioning load. The energy savings compound over time and often offset the upgrade cost, especially if you're replacing an old dark shingle roof.
Is a metal roof fire-resistant?
Aluminum is non-combustible and Class A fire ratings are available with Interlock's panels—the highest classification. The aluminum core cannot ignite or spread flame, which is why builders in fire-prone regions specify metal roofing. Your homeowner's insurance may reflect this, since Class A roofs reduce fire risk to the structure. The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 (reissued 2025 for IBC/IRC compliance) documents the non-combustibility standard. Carle Place's climate doesn't carry extreme wildfire risk, but if you're in an area with dense vegetation or near brush, metal roofing gives you peace of mind that the roof itself won't become fuel.
