Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Salisbury

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Salisbury, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Salisbury.

Will a metal roof handle freeze-thaw cycles in Salisbury winters?

Yes—aluminum thrives in freeze-thaw conditions because it expands and contracts uniformly without cracking or splitting. Salisbury experiences about 58 freeze-thaw days per year, where most asphalt and wood-based roofs develop stress fractures. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) has no grain structure, so it moves smoothly through temperature swings without degradation. The four-way interlocking panels also allow micro-movement between sections, preventing the binding that causes traditional material failure in your climate.

Can aluminum roofing rust like steel does?

No—aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that instantly repairs itself when scratched, making it permanently corrosion-proof. This matters in Salisbury because your region receives about 1214 mm of rainfall annually plus 55 cm of snow; steel would require constant maintenance to prevent rust staining and structural decay. Interlock applies Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating to both panel sides, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214/D2244), adding another protective barrier. The combination of naturally rust-proof aluminum plus durable coating means zero rust worries over the roof's 40+ year life.

How does a metal roof handle heavy snow and ice buildup?

Interlock's smooth, interlocked surface sheds snow and ice more efficiently than asphalt shingles, which retain moisture and create ice dams. With about 55 cm of snow typical in Salisbury annually, that difference saves costly dam-related leaks and interior damage. The aluminum panels are warmed slightly by solar radiation even in winter (you get about 3193 sunshine hours yearly), which promotes natural shedding. Four-way interlocking keeps panels locked together so snow load distributes evenly without gaps. Snow guards can be added for steeper pitches if needed. The lightweight design—Shake profile at about 0.58 lb/sq ft—means no structural reinforcement required, even under deep snow.

Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof?

Your home's frame stays uncompromised because Interlock roofing is extraordinarily light. The Mediterranean Tile profile, for example, weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so no costly structural reinforcement is needed. Salisbury homes built for conventional asphalt shingles (about 2–3 lb/sq ft) can install Interlock tile or shake without engineer consultation. This also means you can install over most existing roofs, saving money on tear-off labor and landfill tipping fees. The lightweight aluminum won't strain roof trusses or require foundation work, keeping installation clean and simple.

What wind speeds can an Interlock metal roof withstand?

The roof is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Salisbury's typical gusts reach about 136 km/h (85 mph), but the 120 mph warranty covers extreme events. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels lock together mechanically, preventing uplift and panel separation that plague asphalt shingles in high wind. Each panel is fastened through a concealed fastener system, distributing wind load across the entire roof plane. This engineering means your roof stays intact during nor'easters and coastal storms—far more reliably than traditional shingles, which lift and tear in sustained gusts above 60 mph.

Can a metal roof reduce hail damage and insurance costs?

Interlock carries the highest available hail impact rating: UL 2218 Class 4, which means it withstands hailstones up to 1.5 inches at impact speeds that destroy asphalt and wood shakes. The warranty explicitly covers perforation from hail. When insurers see this rating and the ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790, reissued 2025), many offer premium discounts for homes in hail-prone regions or near storm corridors. While Salisbury's climate data doesn't highlight extreme hail frequency, the Class 4 rating provides real protection during spring and summer severe-weather events. Contact your carrier—some will credit your policy immediately upon installation.

Will a reflective metal roof help lower my summer cooling costs?

energy-efficient Interlock colors with reflective coatings reduce cooling costs by bouncing heat away before it enters your home. Aged Copper Penny, for example, achieves initial solar reflectance of 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning it reflects heat that dark asphalt absorbs and re-radiates into the attic. In Salisbury, with about 3193 annual sunshine hours and mean temperature of 12.5°C, this reflectivity lowers air-conditioning load during warm months. Over a 40-year lifespan, the energy savings (often 10–15% for cooling-dominant climates) compound significantly. Cool Roof Rating Council verification means your choice is independently audited for performance.

What's the real lifespan and warranty on an Interlock roof?

The Guardian warranty is a lifetime limited non-prorated material warranty for you as the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and impact-resistance loss. That's a single-owner lifetime promise with no deductible. When you sell, it transfers once—giving the next owner 50 years from installation completion. In practical terms, Interlock panels manufactured since 1998 are still performing in the field (coastal salt-air homes, Antarctic research station, etc.), proving 25+ year real-world durability. Most homeowners keep roofs 40+ years before cosmetic refresh. The 30-year coating warranty (ASTM D4214/D2244) ensures color and gloss retention that far exceeds asphalt's typical 15-year aesthetic life.

How does a metal roof perform in Salisbury's heavy rainfall?

Interlock sheds rain aggressively—water runs off the interlocked panels before it can pool or penetrate seams. Salisbury receives about 1214 mm of rain annually, and the four-way panel interlock design prevents water migration sideways into valleys or gaps. When installed over solid deck and underlayment (standard practice), the roof performs identically to asphalt in terms of water management, but without asphalt's tendency to degrade under standing water or develop moss in damp climates. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation certifies the system for roof assembly compliance, including water shedding integrity. Edge flashing, gutter detail, and proper underlayment ensure zero leaks even during heavy downpours common to your region.

Is Interlock metal roofing environmentally responsible compared to asphalt?

Interlock aluminum is about 95% recyclable, meaning your roof becomes raw material value rather than landfill burden. Salisbury homeowners replacing asphalt shingles typically pay to haul tons of waste to regional landfills; Interlock eliminates that expense and environmental cost. Aluminum requires only 5% of the energy to recycle compared to primary production, so recycling centers actively accept end-of-life panels. The roof lasts 40+ years, so no tear-off cycle for decades. When it eventually reaches end-of-life, the entire roof becomes aluminum stock rather than non-biodegradable shingle waste. CALGreen verification confirms reduced maintenance burden, and the minimal coating wear means no chemical runoff into Salisbury's groundwater and stormwater systems.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Salisbury’s climate?

Yes. Salisbury averages about 55 cm of snow, 1214 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 136 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
