Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in North Wantagh

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in North Wantagh, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in North Wantagh.

Will a metal roof handle North Wantagh's freeze-thaw cycles without degrading?

Yes—aluminum's self-healing oxide layer actually thrives through repeated freeze-thaw stress. With about 58 freeze-thaw days per year in Nassau County, your roof faces constant expansion and contraction. Unlike asphalt (which becomes brittle and cracks) or wood shakes (which split), roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy maintains its integrity indefinitely. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists moisture penetration for 30 years, so ice melt and rain runoff won't compromise the underlying metal. Ice dams may form on any roof, but aluminum won't deteriorate from the water trapped behind them.

How does an Interlock metal roof handle heavy snow loads in winter?

Interlock panels are engineered to shed snow safely without accumulation risk. North Wantagh receives about 55 cm of snow annually, but the panel's interlocking geometry and smooth finish prevent buildup and dam formation. The extraordinarily light weight—the Shake profile at roughly 0.58 lb/sq ft—means your existing roof structure carries the load easily; no expensive reinforcement required. The four-way interlocking system maintains structural integrity under snow pressure. Optional snow guards can be installed to control directional shedding. Because aluminum doesn't absorb moisture, melting snow won't cause rot or leaks the way wood or organic materials can.

Can a metal roof withstand North Wantagh's coastal wind gusts?

Absolutely. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Nassau County experiences typical gusts reaching 136 km/h (about 85 mph) and higher during coastal events, well within the roof's rated capacity. The interlocking mechanism distributes lateral force across the entire panel matrix, preventing lift or separation. Unlike asphalt shingles (which are glued and can peel) or single-lock standing seam (which relies on one seam), the four-way design delivers redundant wind resistance. Your homeowner's insurance carrier may recognize this durability, potentially lowering premiums after installation.

What does the Interlock warranty actually cover, and how long does it last?

The Guardian Warranty is a non-prorated lifetime limited material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's one-time transferable: the next owner receives 50 years of coverage from completion. Unlike prorated warranties that fade over time, this one covers a full replacement claim at full value. Combined with the 30-year Alunar coating warranty (ASTM D4214 and D2244 measured), you're protected against fading, chalking, and weather degradation. No other roofing material—asphalt, wood, or composite—offers this depth of protection. For North Wantagh homeowners, it's the last roof you'll buy.

Does an Interlock metal roof qualify for hail damage discounts or better insurance rates?

Yes. Interlock panels hold a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many insurers recognize Class 4 impact resistance and offer discounted premiums or expanded coverage. While North Wantagh doesn't experience frequent hail, the high-impact rating protects you against worst-case seasonal storms and provides measurable peace of mind. Document the UL 2218 Class 4 rating when filing your insurance policy; some carriers reduce deductibles or offer optional add-ons at reduced cost. Steel or lower-rated roofs won't qualify for these advantages. It's worth asking your agent about savings before installation.

Will a metal roof reduce my cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect heat that asphalt absorbs, lowering roof-surface temperature and cooling demand. Reflective profiles achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84, Cool Roof Rating Council certified. North Wantagh receives about 3193 annual sunshine hours—more than many northern climates—so summer cooling load is real. Reflective aluminum redirects solar gain rather than converting it to interior heat. Attic temperature reductions of 10–20°F are common with metal roofs, translating to measurable air-conditioning savings. Unlike dark asphalt shingles, which absorb and radiate heat into your home, aluminum naturally resists thermal transfer. Long-term energy savings often offset the initial material investment.

Can I install an Interlock metal roof over my existing asphalt shingles without structural work?

Yes. Interlock's extraordinarily light weight—the Mediterranean Tile profile at roughly 0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—means most existing roof structures support it without reinforcement. You can install directly over asphalt, wood, or composite shingles, eliminating tear-off labor and landfill costs. The four-way interlocking system distributes its minimal weight evenly across the deck. Removing old shingles is optional; leaving them adds insulation and sound dampening. A structural engineer can verify your framing if your home is older or you're upgrading from a low-slope design, but most North Wantagh homes approved for standard asphalt roofing will carry aluminum effortlessly. This is one of the largest hidden cost savings versus traditional tile or slate.

How much maintenance does a metal roof actually need compared to asphalt or wood?

Aluminum requires virtually no maintenance. Asphalt shingles degrade annually—chalking, granule loss, algae growth—and need inspection every 2–3 years. Wood shakes split, cup, and require annual treatment. Interlock aluminum panels don't rot, split, curl, or absorb water; rain and North Wantagh's roughly 1214 mm of annual precipitation simply run off. The 30-year Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists chalking and fading, so color stays vibrant without cleaning. Gutters need clearing (any roof requires this), but the panels themselves are CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance. Occasional visual inspection is prudent, but active upkeep is unnecessary. Over a 50-year lifespan, the labor and material cost savings versus asphalt—which requires replacement twice—are substantial.

Does Interlock have a local installer serving North Wantagh?

Yes. Interlock Roofing of America has been serving North Wantagh and the Nassau County region since 2014, bringing a decade of local experience and familiarity with regional weather, building codes (ICC-ES ESR-1790 compliance), and homeowner needs. A local installer means faster response times, familiarity with permit requirements, relationships with inspectors, and continuity if warranty service is ever needed. Interlock Metal Roofing manufactures in Delta, BC, and has been installed from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations; your local team brings that institutional knowledge to your project. Ask about their portfolio in North Wantagh, references from neighbors, and their timeline for your installation—local teams typically schedule more flexibly than national franchises.

Is an aluminum metal roof actually more sustainable than asphalt?

Yes. Interlock aluminum panels are approximately 95% recyclable; at end of life (which rarely comes), they return to the aluminum supply chain. Asphalt shingles tear off every 15–25 years and go to landfills where they persist for decades. Over a century, an asphalt roof means four tear-offs and four landfill deposits; an aluminum roof means zero. Manufacturing aluminum does require energy, but the single installation eliminates the cumulative environmental cost of replacement cycles. Your roof won't contribute to Nassau County's waste stream. CALGreen verification confirms the reduced-maintenance profile lowers long-term resource consumption. Choosing aluminum is a 50-year sustainability commitment—you're not perpetuating the asphalt replacement treadmill.
