Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Roosevelt

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Roosevelt, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Roosevelt.

Will a metal roof hold up to Roosevelt's freeze-thaw cycles?

Yes—aluminum's expansion coefficient is half that of steel, so it moves less as Roosevelt's roughly 58 freeze-thaw days per year cycle between temperatures. The 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) does not absorb water, so ice won't crack it the way water-logged asphalt or wood can. The interlocking seams shed meltwater quickly, preventing pooling that triggers the freeze-thaw damage cycle in traditional roofing.

Can metal roofing handle Nassau County snow loads?

Completely. Roosevelt receives roughly 55 cm of snow annually, and Interlock panels weigh only 0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile—light enough to install directly over existing roofs without structural upgrades. The low weight actually helps: less load on your home's framing. The four-way interlocking system keeps panels in place through snow events, and optional snow guards can be added to manage shedding if desired.

Why doesn't aluminum rust like steel roofing?

Aluminum contains no iron; it cannot rust chemically. Instead, it forms a transparent aluminum oxide layer that self-heals when scratched, protecting the metal underneath permanently. Interlock's Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (applied to both sides) adds an extra 30-year warranty against chalking and fading—a significant advantage in Nassau County's 1214 mm annual rainfall, which would accelerate rust in iron-based materials.

Does a metal roof stay secure in Roosevelt's wind gusts?

Yes. Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Nassau County experiences typical gusts around 136 km/h (about 85 mph), well within that rating. The four-way interlocking design distributes wind loads across the entire roof plane rather than relying on individual fasteners, and the lightweight panels (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft) reduce the force wind can exert on them.

How does metal roofing handle Roosevelt's 1200+ mm of annual rain?

The interlocking seams work like shingles—water sheds downward and outward, never pooling. Each panel locks to the next on all four sides, so water cannot migrate sideways into gaps. Installed over solid deck with underlayment (standard practice), the system channels 1214 mm of annual rainfall straight to gutters and downspouts, with zero penetration points. The sealed-seam design is actually more effective than traditional shingles in heavy rain.

What happens if Roosevelt gets hail? Is there coverage?

Interlock carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Class 4 aluminum roofs often qualify homeowners for insurance discounts because they resist damage that would dent or puncture asphalt or wood. Nassau County's exposure to Northeast storms makes this protection genuinely valuable and insurable.

Will an Interlock roof reduce cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient colors reflect up to 0.55 of the sun's energy (measured initial solar reflectance), with thermal emissivity of 0.84. Roosevelt averages about 3193 sunshine hours annually, so reflective coatings meaningfully reduce the heat load asphalt absorbs. Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms the thermal performance—you'll see lower air conditioning demand on hot days, translating to reduced utility bills over the roof's lifetime.

What's the actual lifespan and warranty on an Interlock roof?

The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion—a genuine resale advantage. The 30-year Alunar coating warranty (ASTM D4214 / D2244 measured) covers fade and chalk separately. This is the last roof you'll install; the product is proven since 1998 across climates from salt-air coasts to Antarctica.

Who installs Interlock roofing in Roosevelt?

Interlock Roofing of America has served Roosevelt and Nassau County since 2014, meaning local knowledge of permit requirements, snow-load specifics, and seasoned installation crews. They understand the region's wind patterns, salt air (if near coast), and freeze-thaw stress. Working with an established regional installer ensures warranty support, maintenance referrals, and the expertise to install over existing roofs without structural surprises—a critical advantage for mid-Atlantic renovations.

Is Interlock metal roofing actually more sustainable than asphalt?

Aluminum roofing is approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, eliminating the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle that most Roosevelt homeowners face every 15–20 years. Interlock's lightweight panels (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft) install directly over existing roofs, so there's no demolition waste upfront either. CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance, the material requires no chemical treatments or seasonal repairs, further reducing your home's environmental footprint over 50+ years.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Roosevelt’s climate?

Yes. Roosevelt averages about 55 cm of snow, 1214 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 136 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
