Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in North Bellmore

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in North Bellmore, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in North Bellmore.

Will a metal roof handle North Bellmore's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or failing?

Yes — aluminum expands and contracts with temperature swings, but it won't crack, split, or curl the way asphalt and wood do over North Bellmore's roughly 58 freeze-thaw days per year. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) is engineered for exactly this stress. The oxide layer that protects the metal from corrosion self-heals when micro-scratched during thermal movement, so repeated freezing and thawing actually don't degrade the material's core integrity. That's why the Guardian Warranty covers splitting and cracking — the product simply doesn't experience them.

How does an aluminum metal roof handle heavy snow and ice in North Bellmore winters?

Metal roofs shed snow efficiently because the smooth, interlocked surface prevents ice damming and allows snowmelt to drain freely — critical in North Bellmore, which receives about 55 cm of snow annually. The four-way interlocking design creates a unified plane that snow cannot penetrate or pool under. You can add snow guards to any profile if you prefer slower shedding or want to manage runoff toward gutters. The Shake profile, for example, installs at just 0.58 lb/sq ft, so even heavy seasonal snow load won't stress your structure the way asphalt layering or concrete tile would over time.

Does North Bellmore's 1,200+ mm of annual rain cause leaks in a metal roof?

No — North Bellmore receives roughly 1,214 mm of rain per year, and metal roofs actually excel in wet climates because the interlocked seams and smooth finish shed water instantly without pooling. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels are engineered to overlap in a way that forces water down and out, never allowing it to sit at panel boundaries. When installed over solid decking with underlayment (standard practice), the system is as leak-proof as any roof can be. The design has been proven from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations — if it works there, North Bellmore rainfall is straightforward.

Can aluminum roofing rust or corrode in a coastal-influenced climate like Nassau County?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron — the element that oxidizes and weakens in salt air or damp climates. Instead, aluminum develops a thin, protective oxide layer that self-heals when scratched, meaning the material becomes more durable with age, not less. Interlock applies Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish to both sides of every panel (the underside gets the same protection), which is why the coating carries a 30-year warranty against chalking and fading even in salt-air exposure. Nassau County's marine-influenced humidity and occasional road salt drift are actually where aluminum roofing's advantages over steel shine brightest.

Will an aluminum metal roof stay put during North Bellmore's high winds and gusts?

Yes — the four-way interlocking system is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. North Bellmore's typical gusts reach about 136 km/h (roughly 85 mph) in severe weather, well within that threshold. The interlocking design means no individual panel can lift; all four edges are mechanically engaged so the roof moves as one unit. The UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating (highest available) also confirms the panel's structural integrity under extreme stress. When paired with proper fastening, this system has been proven in coastal regions where wind speeds regularly approach or exceed your local conditions.

Can my North Bellmore home's structure support a metal roof, or will I need reinforcement?

Your existing structure almost certainly needs no reinforcement — that's one of aluminum's biggest advantages over traditional materials. The Slate profile installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft, the Cedar Shingle at 0.58 lb/sq ft, and the Mediterranean Tile at 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it about 96% lighter than real concrete or clay tile. This means Interlock's metal roofing installs directly over most existing roofs without structural upgrades. When combined with North Bellmore's typical roof snow load (accumulated seasonal weight from roughly 55 cm of annual snow), the lightweight design eliminates the cost and complexity of beam reinforcement that tile or slate would require.

Will an energy-efficiency metal roof actually reduce cooling costs in North Bellmore?

Yes — energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect solar heat rather than absorbing it the way asphalt does, and the Cool Roof Rating Council verification confirms the thermal performance. The Aged Copper Penny finish, for example, achieves initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning it bounces heat away while still radiating interior warmth in winter. Over North Bellmore's 3,193 annual sunshine hours, this reflectance compounds — your attic and living spaces stay cooler in summer without cranking air conditioning, and the metal retains absorbed heat more efficiently in winter than asphalt shingles. The energy savings add up year-round in a temperate climate like yours.

Does North Bellmore hail damage metal roofs, and can I get an insurance discount?

Interlock's panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating — the highest available — and the Guardian Warranty actually covers hail perforation up to 1.5 inches, which is extremely rare. This extraordinary durability often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts because underwriters recognize that metal roofs resist damage where asphalt or slate fail. Class 4 means the roof withstands impacts that would dent, crack, or puncture other materials. When you contact your insurance agent to insure the roof after installation, bring the product specs and warranty details; many carriers offer a 5–15% premium reduction for impact-rated metal. Check with your provider early in the process so you factor savings into the investment.

What makes Interlock's warranty actually different from typical roof warranties?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited warranty for the original owner and one-time transferable to the next owner for 50 years from completion, with no prorating — you don't pay a percentage of the cost if a covered failure occurs in year 10 or year 30. It covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. Unlike asphalt roofs that need replacement every 15–25 years, Interlock's aluminum construction and 30-year coating warranty mean you're installing the last roof your home will need during your ownership, and the next owner receives decades of coverage too. That durability directly addresses North Bellmore's 58 annual freeze-thaw cycles and 1,214 mm rainfall — conditions that accelerate asphalt degradation.

Does Interlock have a local installer serving North Bellmore?

Yes — Interlock Roofing of America has served the North Bellmore and Nassau County region since 2014, meaning they understand local climate challenges (freeze-thaw cycling, salt-air exposure, heavy snow and rain) and building codes. Working with a local installer who has nearly a decade of regional experience ensures your installation meets ESR-1790 (the ICC-ES evaluation for IBC/IRC compliance, reissued 2025) and that any future service calls are quick and familiar. They can also advise on profile selection and color based on what performs best in your specific neighborhood conditions and recommend snow guard placement for North Bellmore's roughly 55 cm annual snowfall.
