Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Bethpage

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Bethpage, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Bethpage.

Will metal roofing crack or fail after years of freeze-thaw cycles in New York winters?

No. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy is immune to the cracking and deterioration that plague asphalt, wood, and concrete in freeze-thaw conditions. Bethpage experiences about 58 freeze-thaw days per year—aluminum simply doesn't absorb moisture or expand when frozen, so it never degrades from temperature cycling. The material's self-healing oxide layer also resists the salt spray used on local roads during winter, eliminating the corrosion risk of steel roofing. Your roof remains structurally intact through decades of Nassau County winters.

How does a metal roof handle the snow and ice that Bethpage gets each winter?

Interlock panels with four-way interlocking seams shed snow and ice efficiently while remaining secure under load. Bethpage receives about 55 cm of snow annually, and the smooth or textured aluminum surfaces don't trap moisture or allow ice dams to form the way asphalt shingles do. The panels are warranted to 120 mph wind resistance—easily handling the 136 km/h gusts that occasionally occur in the region—so snow and ice cannot lift or dislodge them. Optional snow guards are available if you prefer to retain snow for insulation or aesthetic reasons.

Can a metal roof rust in Bethpage, where winters mean road salt and coastal humidity?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; the material is naturally protected by a self-healing oxide layer that repairs itself when scratched. Steel roofing rusts aggressively, especially in coastal or winter-salted environments like Nassau County. Interlock's Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of every panel—extra defense against the salt-laden air and road salt spray that accelerate corrosion in this region. The coating carries a 30-year warranty against chalking and fading, and the material warranty covers rusting for the lifetime of the original owner, transferring 50 years to the next.

Is aluminum roofing light enough to install over my existing roof without structural work?

Yes. Interlock's aluminum panels weigh as little as 0.41 lb/sq ft for the Cedar Shingle profile and about 0.59 lb/sq ft for the Mediterranean Tile—roughly 96% lighter than traditional clay or concrete tile. This extraordinary lightness means no structural reinforcement or framing upgrades are required, and installation can proceed directly over most existing roofs. Compare this to the structural demands of slate or tile, and the cost advantage is immediate. Given Bethpage's 1214 mm annual rainfall and occasional heavy snow loads, a lightweight roof that installs cleanly over your current structure eliminates both disruption and expense.

What impact rating does Interlock have, and could it lower my homeowner's insurance?

Interlock metal roofing carries UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This exceptional durability often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts because the roof resists damage that would compromise asphalt or tile. Bethpage's 3193 annual sunshine hours and moderate hail risk mean impact resistance is real insurance against costly claims. Contact your insurer with the UL 2218 Class 4 certification and Guardian Warranty details; many carriers recognize this as evidence of superior loss prevention and may adjust your premium downward.

Can a metal roof withstand the wind gusts that hit Bethpage in winter storms?

Yes. Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification, and the four-way interlocking seams lock each panel to its neighbors, distributing wind load across the entire roof system. Bethpage experiences typical daily-max winds around 22 km/h with gusts reaching 136 km/h—well within the roof's rated capacity. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation confirms compliance with IBC and IRC wind load standards. This means no blow-offs, no panel separation, and no leaks from wind-driven rain during the nor'easters and winter storms common to Nassau County.

How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or tile?

Interlock requires virtually no maintenance beyond occasional inspection. Unlike asphalt shingles, which curl, crack, and shed granules as they age, aluminum doesn't rot, split, or degrade. Unlike clay or concrete tile, it won't develop algae or moss growth. The Alunar fluorocarbon finish resists weathering and maintains appearance for decades—30-year warranty against fading. Bethpage's 1214 mm annual rainfall and 58 freeze-thaw cycles mean asphalt roofs require regular repairs; metal doesn't. CALGreen verification confirms reduced maintenance needs, translating to lower long-term ownership costs and freedom from costly mid-life replacements.

Is metal roofing more environmentally responsible than asphalt shingles?

Yes. Interlock aluminum panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, breaking the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle that generates millions of tons of waste annually. Aluminum scrap retains high market value, incentivizing recovery. The material is manufactured in Delta, BC, and requires no re-roofing every 15–20 years like asphalt—eliminating repeated demolition, transport, and disposal. A Guardian Warranty lifetime for the original owner plus 50 years for the next means your roof serves two generations, not one. For Bethpage residents committed to reducing landfill burden, metal roofing delivers genuine environmental benefit over the roof's multi-decade service life.

What does the warranty really cover, and how long does it last?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, making it a significant resale advantage. This coverage is extraordinary because Bethpage's 1214 mm rainfall, 55 cm annual snow, and 58 freeze-thaw days create severe stresses that asphalt shingles fail to withstand within their typical 15–20 year life. With Interlock, you buy the last roof you'll install; the second owner receives decades of worry-free protection. No prorated fees, no material exclusions for legitimate wear.

Who installs Interlock roofing in Bethpage, and how long have they served this area?

Interlock Roofing of America has been serving the Bethpage and Nassau County region since 2014. They are the authorized local installer, trained and certified in Interlock's four-way interlocking panel system and the full range of profiles—Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, and Mediterranean Tile. Local presence means faster scheduling, site familiarity with regional wind and snow loads, and accountability rooted in the community. They understand Bethpage's specific climate demands—the 136 km/h winter gusts, freeze-thaw intensity, and salt-air exposure—and install to spec so your 120 mph wind warranty and hail coverage remain valid. Service area availability through an established local team eliminates shipping delays and ensures proper commissioning.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Bethpage’s climate?

Yes. Bethpage averages about 55 cm of snow, 1214 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 136 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
