Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Floral Park

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Floral Park, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Floral Park.

Will a metal roof hold up to Floral Park's freeze-thaw cycles?

Yes—aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw conditions. With roughly 58 freeze-thaw days per year in Nassau County, your roof faces constant expansion and contraction, which degrades asphalt shingles and causes wood to split and crack. Aluminum's oxide layer doesn't absorb water, so ice formation and thawing won't create the internal stress that fails traditional materials. The roofing-grade 3105-H24 alloy (ASTM B209) flexes safely through these cycles without loss of structural integrity. Interlock's 30-year Alunar coating warranty and lifetime material coverage give you protection through decades of your region's seasonal swings.

How does an aluminum metal roof handle snow and ice buildup?

Floral Park receives about 55 centimeters of snow annually, and a smooth aluminum profile sheds snow and ice far more effectively than asphalt. The four-way interlocking panels create a continuous, slippery surface that prevents dangerous accumulation and reduces ice-dam formation—a common problem in your area's freeze-thaw climate. Snow guards are available if you want to control shedding near walkways. The material's light weight (Cedar Shingle profile at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means snow load poses minimal structural concern, and because installation often goes over your existing roof, there's no need for costly framing reinforcement. Your installer, Interlock Roofing of America, has served the region since 2014 and understands local snow patterns.

Can an aluminum roof withstand Floral Park's winter wind gusts?

Absolutely. Nassau County experiences typical gusts up to 136 km/h, and Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist sustained wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification—well above your region's normal extremes. The interlocking design locks each panel to its neighbors on all four sides, distributing wind load across the entire roof rather than relying on fasteners alone. This engineering, combined with the material's light weight, means the roof stays secure without the brittleness or fastener corrosion that weakens traditional shingles. Interlock Roofing of America's installation expertise ensures your system meets these performance standards.

Does heavy rain leak through a metal roof?

No. Floral Park receives about 1,214 millimeters of rain annually, and the four-way interlocking panel design sheds water faster than any pitched roof can. Rainwater flows along the panels' channels and off the roof without opportunity to pool or find seams. When installed to spec over a solid deck and underlayment, there is no structural gap where water can collect—the same barrier that makes asphalt roofs weathertight. The interlocking grip is so tight that water cannot travel horizontally between panels. Combined with proper flashing at valleys, chimneys, and edges, your Interlock roof delivers the same leak protection homeowners expect from asphalt, with the added benefit of no deterioration over time.

Will hail damage my metal roof, and can I save on insurance?

Interlock's aluminum roofing carries the UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest classification available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This durability often qualifies homeowners for insurance premium reductions; contact your carrier with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating and ESR-1790 code evaluation to discuss discounts. Because aluminum is non-combustible and Class A fire-rated, some insurers offer additional savings. While Nassau County's climate doesn't see extreme hail regularly, the robust impact resistance means you're protected against the occasional severe storm without worry. Many homeowners find the premium reductions significantly offset the roof's upfront cost.

Can my house handle a metal roof, or do I need to reinforce the frame?

Your home almost certainly needs no structural reinforcement. Interlock's aluminum panels are extraordinarily light—the Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates heavy concrete or clay tile, weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft and is roughly 96% lighter than the materials it mimics. For comparison, traditional slate or concrete tile would require expensive frame upgrades; aluminum delivers that look without touching your structure. In fact, the light weight means Interlock installs directly over most existing roofs, eliminating costly tear-off and disposal. Your installer, Interlock Roofing of America, can assess your home in minutes. This combination of beauty and zero structural demand is one reason aluminum has been installed on homes from coastal salt-air regions to Antarctic research stations.

How much upkeep does an aluminum metal roof require?

Virtually none. Unlike asphalt shingles that require regular inspection and repair, wood shakes that split and crack with Floral Park's 58 annual freeze-thaw days, or clay tile that degrades slowly over decades, aluminum roofing is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance. The self-healing oxide layer and durable Alunar 70% PVDF coating mean no rust spots to sand, no granule loss to track, no fungal growth to treat. You may occasionally rinse debris from valleys after storms or clear gutters—tasks you'd do regardless. Your roof won't demand replacement of damaged shingles, re-sealing of fasteners, or preventive chemical treatments. This low-maintenance profile, combined with the lifetime limited warranty, means your roof simply performs for decades without the seasonal care traditional materials demand.

What warranty does Interlock offer, and how long will the roof last?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—it covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance with no depreciation. The warranty is one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years from project completion, which adds significant resale appeal. Expected lifespan is measured in generations, not decades; with proper installation and normal maintenance, your Interlock roof will outlast most mortgages. The 30-year coating warranty (ASTM D4214/D2244 measured) protects color and finish. In Nassau County's humid climate with about 3,193 annual sunshine hours and 1,214 mm rain, aluminum's corrosion resistance and UV-stable finish mean your roof remains structurally sound and visually unchanged far longer than asphalt shingles or wood shake.

Is aluminum roofing better for the environment than asphalt?

Yes. Aluminum roofing is approximately 95% recyclable, and at end of life (far in the future), your panels return to the recycling stream with no landfill waste or environmental liability. Traditional asphalt shingles, by contrast, end the tear-off-and-replace cycle every 15–25 years, sending countless tons to landfills annually. Your single Interlock installation eliminates that repetitive cycle for your home's lifetime. The material's light weight also reduces shipping carbon and installation complexity. Additionally, energy-efficient Interlock colors with initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84 reflect heat that asphalt absorbs, lowering cooling demand across your home's lifespan. Choosing aluminum is choosing a roof that serves your family for generations while respecting the environment.

How long does installation take, and will I need my roof torn off?

Installation typically completes in a few days, depending on roof size and complexity; Interlock Roofing of America, serving the region since 2014, can provide a timeline estimate after inspection. Because aluminum panels weigh just 0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft, installation often happens directly over your existing roof—no tear-off, no debris removal, no disposal costs. This preserves an extra insulation layer and keeps your home secure throughout the process. If tear-off is necessary for structural reasons, your installer will handle it professionally. The four-way interlocking design means each panel locks to its neighbors, creating a unified system quickly. Flashing, gutters, and trim finishing complete the job. Interlock's local expertise means minimal disruption and installation that meets the ESR-1790 code evaluation requirements.
