| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |

| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |
| Hail resistance: UL 2218 Class 4 | Hail and impact debris: highest impact classification; resists cracking, splitting, and surface loss common with asphalt under hail strikes. |

What our customers are saying:
We’ve had our roof for about 7 years and have been very pleased with it. Recently, I scheduled gutter cleaning which was complicated by a run of wet weather which makes the roof very slippery. The gutter contractor asked if we had ever considered installing safety anchors. I didn’t know there was such a thing. I called Interlock and Ivan came by to take a look. He quickly determined appropriate locations for the anchors that the gutter cleaners could clip their safety harnesses to and showed me an example of the anchor itself. He also offered to paint them black to make them more inconspicuous on our dark roof. He returned about a week later for the install and afterwards showed us pictures of the anchors from the roof and pointed them out from the ground. Overall very professional, prompt, excellent service.
It was time to replace the old mossy asphalt shingles. Standing seam metal in dark Hunter Green was the way to go. Love it! Demo and install team were friendly really excellent at their jobs.
We love our roof! Interlock was wonderful to work with. Very knowledgable and helpful throughout the whole process. The team that installed were amazing and did amazing work. They cleaned up everything in a timely manner. One feedback I would have is giving more updates on when the project was slated to be started, originally was schedule during our vacation and we didn't know til a few days before we left. Overall we are very please and cant wait to never change our roof again!
Interlock was great. The roof is beautiful and the crew was great to work with. Everyone we met with was kind, skilled and knowledgeable. Mike and Damon even helped us work with insurance some due to a tree falling on our house. Interlock made the overwhelming task of getting a full new roof a little less overwhelming, and we appreciate them so much for that.
Interlock roofing is a fantastic company and the representative, Damon, was incredible. Always there to answer questions in a quick timely manner. I couldn’t be happier. This Aluminum roof will never need to be replaced and it makes my simple home look like a million dollar home. It’s stunning. I chose black slate and it is so beautiful. Such peace of mind too. I would highly recommend this company and its employees. The installation crew were professional and careful and accommodating. Thank You Damon and Interlock Roofing. Love our new roof! We don’t have to worry about replacing it ever again. Positive, Responsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Services: Roof installation
Beautiful roof, replaced 44-year-old concrete tile. Installers showed up when scheduled, were conscientious and knowledgeable. They were hardworking, even in difficult cold weather. Communication was challenging while waiting our turn, but this was addressed. Ten stars for all of you!PositiveResponsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesRoof installation
My journey with Interlock Roofing began with an email, phone call and some visits with Damon Isbell who is exceptional. He was able to accomadate all my requests for information, as well as make shanges to the project when I wanted to make changes after the initial process. The people I talked with on the phone or via email were pleasant & knowledgable, as was the installation crew led by Victor. I would recommend these people to anyone looking for a lifetime roof. I'd just like to say Thank You to everyone at Interlock Roofing. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and knowledgeable.
The communication with the salesperson after the sale has been made could have been better, as well as with the installation team prior to the installation. It would have been nice to communicate with the installation manager about the installation before it happened. It would have been nice to have the person in charge check in at some point, and that never happened.
Having more than 1 installer throughout the entire project. Art was great and very safe but if there was an accident or fall and he needed immediate treatment it could have been too late before any one found him. I would feel better and more confident about our Interlock roof if we were given some after installation care FAQ's and a reliable/priority email and/or number to call with any issues. As it is now, I'm not sure who to contact for these things and it makes me worry about having invested in an Interlock roof.
I am very happy with the roof they installed. They should provide more accurate scheduling because my project was delayed for about nine months. We like the product, and everything was great. However, improving the scheduling and making sure the times are more accurate would be better.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Bridlemile
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Bridlemile, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Bridlemile.
Does metal roofing handle Oregon's snow and ice buildup better than asphalt shingles?
Yes—the smooth, hard surface of Interlock aluminum sheds snow and ice far more effectively than asphalt, which traps moisture and promotes ice dam formation. Bridlemile averages about 48 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 36 freeze-thaw cycles per year, creating ideal conditions for ice dams on conventional roofs. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to 120 mph wind, so they won't fail under the weight or stress of shifting snow and ice. You can add snow guards to any profile if architectural guidelines or roof pitch warrant them, giving you complete control over where snow releases.
Why is aluminum better than steel for a rainy Oregon climate?
Aluminum fundamentally cannot rust because it contains no iron—steel does, and iron oxidizes when exposed to moisture and oxygen. Instead, aluminum develops a protective oxide layer that self-heals when scratched, meaning minor installation marks or weather exposure won't trigger corrosion. In Bridlemile's wet environment—averaging 1468 mm of annual rainfall—this difference is decisive. Every Interlock panel also receives a dual-sided Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (30-year warranty against chalking and fading), adding a second shield against the damp Pacific Northwest air.
Is a metal roof worth the higher installation cost?
Metal roofing costs more upfront than asphalt, but you buy it once and never replace it—asphalt typically needs replacement every 15–25 years. Over 50+ years (a single Interlock roof's realistic lifespan), the total cost of ownership of asphalt—including multiple tear-offs, landfill disposal, and re-installation labor—far exceeds one metal roof installation. Right now, Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. is offering no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation, making the transition more affordable. Guardian Warranty coverage eliminates anxiety about major repairs, and the one-time transferable warranty adds 50 years of value for your home's next owner.
Will a metal roof leak in Bridlemile's heavy rainfall?
No—when installed to spec by a qualified local installer like Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc., metal roofs are among the most leak-resistant roofing systems available. The four-way interlocking panel design sheds water immediately; the seams are engineered to overlap and drain rather than trap moisture. Bridlemile receives about 1468 mm of rain yearly, but metal roofing performs in climates that receive twice that amount. A solid deck and quality underlayment work together to handle water penetration from wind-driven rain or ice melt—the same protection principles that apply to asphalt, but with a surface that never absorbs water or degrades from saturation.
Does a metal roof hold up to hail, and could it lower my insurance?
Interlock metal roofing achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This durability can qualify you for homeowners insurance discounts in regions prone to hail; check with your agent about your specific policy. While Bridlemile's climate doesn't center on hail, the region does experience wind gusts up to 116 km/h and 36 freeze-thaw days annually, both of which can stress conventional roofing. Metal's impact resistance protects against branch fall and storm debris—common in the Pacific Northwest—and insurers recognize that protection.
Is my house strong enough to support a metal roof, or do I need structural upgrades?
Almost certainly yes—no structural upgrades required. Interlock metal roofing is extraordinarily light: the Cedar Shingle profile installs at just 0.41 lb/sq ft, and even the Mediterranean Tile—which replicates heavy clay or concrete tile—weighs only ~0.59 lb/sq ft, making it roughly 96% lighter than the real thing. Your home's framing was built to carry asphalt shingles (heavier) or even slate; metal roofing weighs a fraction of that. Because it's so light, Interlock installs directly over most existing roofs, eliminating tear-off costs and landfill waste. A professional inspection by Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. confirms your roof's readiness—usually within days.
Can a metal roof survive Bridlemile's wind and storm gusts?
Yes—Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to spec. Bridlemile's typical gusts reach about 116 km/h, well within the roof's rated performance envelope. The four-way interlocking panel design locks each piece to its neighbors in all directions, distributing wind load across the entire roof rather than concentrating stress on fasteners or seams. This engineering is verified under ICC-ES ESR-1790, the current building-code evaluation. In the region's frequent storm events—common given 2957 annual sunshine hours punctuated by wet-season wind—that margin of safety gives you genuine peace of mind.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or wood?
Minimal—far less than asphalt, wood shake, or tile. Metal roofing doesn't curl, crack, split, or rot; the Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists fading and chalking for 30 years, so repainting is optional and aesthetic. Asphalt requires regular inspections and eventual replacement; wood shake invites moss, rot, and insect damage in Oregon's damp 1468 mm annual rainfall and 36 freeze-thaw days. Tile can crack and leak around fasteners. Interlock's Guardian Warranty covers cracking, curling, splitting, and rotting—conditions that won't happen—and the CALGreen-verified design reduces maintenance obligations versus conventional roofing. Occasional gutter cleaning is standard for any roof; metal doesn't demand more.
Do metal roofs really save energy, and how much will it help in Oregon?
energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect rather than absorb solar heat, measured at initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84, and rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council. In Bridlemile's climate—averaging 11.5°C and 2957 annual sunshine hours—this reflectivity works hardest during summer peaks and shoulder seasons. The cooling benefit is real but modest in a temperate maritime climate; the larger value is durability under the region's 36 annual freeze-thaw cycles and 1468 mm rainfall, where reflective coatings also resist UV damage. Choose a color that appeals to you; the energy performance is a long-term bonus, not the primary driver.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Bridlemile, and can they really handle this climate?
Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served the Pacific Northwest since 1997 and specializes in the region's exact conditions: high rainfall, snow, wind, freeze-thaw stress, and salt air in coastal areas. They're intimately familiar with Bridlemile's exposure and Multnomah County building codes. The company installs Interlock panels manufactured in Delta, BC—just north of the region—from homes in coastal salt-air environments to an Antarctic research station, so your local installer knows the product's real-world behavior. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. A local consultation with Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. confirms your timeline and options within days.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Bridlemile’s climate?
Yes. Bridlemile averages about 48 cm of snow, 1468 mm of rain, roughly 36 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 116 km/h.
