What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Grandview
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Grandview, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Grandview.
Will a metal roof handle Grandview's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or warping?
Yes—aluminum's crystalline structure makes it immune to the cracking and material breakdown that plague asphalt and wood through repeated freezing. Grandview averages about 72 freeze-thaw days per year, a condition that accelerates shingle degradation, but aluminum simply contracts and expands without losing integrity. The 3105-H24 aluminum alloy used in Interlock panels is specifically engineered for this cycling. Your coating—Alunar 70% PVDF, warranted 30 years—remains flexible across temperature swings, so it won't chalk or fade even as seasons shift.
Why is an aluminum roof better than steel in a place like Grandview?
Steel rusts because it contains iron; aluminum cannot rust at all because it's pure metal without iron. When aluminum is exposed, it forms an oxide layer that self-heals when scratched—so moisture and the 222 mm of annual rain won't start a corrosion cycle. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum (ASTM B209), the same alloy trusted on coastal salt-air homes and an Antarctic research station. The Alunar coating on both panel sides adds 30-year protection, but even if coating degrades, the underlying aluminum substrate remains corrosion-proof for the roof's 50+ year lifespan.
How does a metal roof handle snow load and ice dams with Grandview winters?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more efficiently than asphalt because their smooth, hard surface resists ice adhesion and provides less friction for accumulation. Grandview receives about 30 cm of snow annually, and while that's moderate, the freeze-thaw cycling makes ice dam risk real. Interlock's lightweight design—Slate at just 0.41 lb/sq ft—means snow doesn't compress into dangerous loads; it slides cleanly off. Your installer can add snow guards where needed to direct runoff safely. The four-way interlocking panels prevent water seepage even when ice dams temporarily block drainage, protecting your structure during spring melt.
Can an existing house frame support a metal roof, or do I need expensive structural work?
Most existing roofs need no structural reinforcement because Interlock metal is extraordinarily light. The Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates the heaviest traditional material, weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than real concrete or clay tile. You can install it directly over your existing asphalt or wood shingles without reinforcing beams or trusses. Grandview's typical wind gusts reach 84 km/h, and Interlock's panels are warranted to resist sustained winds up to 120 mph, so aerodynamic load isn't a concern. This weight advantage is why metal roofing installs fast and costs less than tile alternatives.
Can a metal roof save money on insurance, and what's the hail protection like?
Interlock metal roofs earn UL 2218 Class 4, the highest hail-impact rating available, and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Some insurers recognize this durability and offer discounts on premiums because claims risk drops sharply. To qualify for discounts, mention the Class 4 rating and ICC-ES ESR-1790 compliance to your agent—both are third-party verifications of impact and structural performance. While Grandview's hail risk is moderate compared to the plains, the protection here is real: Class 4 means your roof can withstand impacts that would puncture or crack asphalt shingles, reducing your long-term maintenance and insurance exposure.
Do reflective metal roofs actually reduce cooling costs in a dry climate like Grandview?
Yes, reflective coatings reduce heat absorption measurably. Grandview receives about 3524 sunshine hours annually, so summer solar gain is significant despite cooler mean temperatures of 13.3°C. Interlock's energy-efficient colors have thermal emissivity of 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they bounce back heat that dark asphalt absorbs and stores. The Cool Roof Rating Council verifies this performance. Over a 50-year roof life, reflective aluminum reduces air-conditioning runtime, especially during sunny spells, offsetting energy costs that traditional roofing cannot. Lighter profiles like Cedar Shingle don't just save on installation weight—they deliver passive cooling year-round.
What maintenance does a metal roof actually need in Grandview?
Very little compared to asphalt, wood, or tile. Asphalt requires annual inspection and often needs repairs by year 15; wood shake splits and rots over time; tile cracks from freeze-thaw. Interlock aluminum needs only occasional rinsing to remove dust—Grandview's 222 mm annual rain does much of that naturally. The four-way interlocking design prevents debris from lodging, and the non-porous aluminum surface won't grow moss or algae. Your Alunar coating, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, eliminates the UV degradation that forces asphalt replacement. No sealant reapplication, no structural repairs, no seasonal cleanup—just a visual inspection every few years.
What's the real lifespan of a metal roof, and does the warranty cover everything?
The Guardian warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material guarantee for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—the failures that plague other roofing. It's transferable once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, which means your roof asset holds value across ownership changes. Aluminum doesn't degrade like asphalt (15–25 year life) or wood (20–40 years with maintenance). With no iron in the material, no wood fibers to rot, and a self-healing oxide layer, Interlock roofs routinely last 50+ years in service. Many installed since 1998 are still performing. The 30-year coating warranty protects the top finish independently.
Is a metal roof fire-safe, and does it help with insurance ratings?
Aluminum is non-combustible and available with Class A fire classification—the highest rating in the UL fire test. In areas prone to wildfire risk or where fire codes require Class A materials, this is a significant compliance advantage. Interlock's aluminum, combined with a solid deck and proper underlayment, provides fire protection that asphalt shingles cannot match. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation (reissued 2025) documents this for building code officials. While Grandview's immediate wildfire exposure is lower than regions east of the Cascades, Class A fire rating can reduce insurance premiums and is often required by lenders or HOAs. It's one reason aluminum roofing appeals to risk-conscious homeowners in the Pacific Northwest.
Who installs Interlock roofs in Grandview, and how experienced are they?
Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served Yakima County and the greater region since 1997—as long as Interlock has been manufacturing panels. Their familiarity with Grandview's climate, local building codes, and the four interlocking panel system ensures correct installation and maximizes warranty protection. They understand how to orient panels against Grandview's typical 15 km/h winds with gusts to 84 km/h, and they know the freeze-thaw timing that affects flashing and detail work. Right now, they're offering no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation—a way to lock in metal roofing before costs rise. Call them for a site assessment and timeline.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Grandview’s climate?
Yes. Grandview averages about 30 cm of snow, 222 mm of rain, roughly 72 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 84 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
