What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Hubbleton
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Hubbleton, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Hubbleton.
Will freeze-thaw cycles in Wisconsin damage a metal roof?
No — aluminum actually thrives in freeze-thaw climates. Hubbleton sees about 87 freeze-thaw days per year, and aluminum's oxide layer self-heals when scratched, meaning it won't crack, split, or corrode the way wood shakes or concrete tiles do. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating is bonded to both sides of the panel and rated for 30 years against chalking and fading under ASTM D4214, so seasonal moisture cycling and UV exposure won't degrade the finish. Over 25+ years, you avoid the progressive splintering and joint failure that plague traditional materials in your climate.
How does metal roofing handle Hubbleton's snow load and ice dams?
Metal roofing sheds snow and ice effectively because the smooth, interlocked aluminum surface prevents water from pooling at seams—ice dams form where water backs up, which doesn't happen here. Hubbleton receives about 86 cm of snow annually, and the four-way interlocking design ensures meltwater flows predictably. Snow guards are available if you want to control cascade on walkways. The lightweight construction (Slate at ~0.41 lb/sq ft) means no structural reinforcement is needed even when snow accumulates, and it installs directly over your existing roof, saving the cost and disruption of full tear-off in winter prep.
Why doesn't an aluminum metal roof rust like a steel one?
Metal roofs made from steel will rust, but Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209), which contains no iron and therefore cannot rust. Aluminum naturally forms an oxide layer that self-heals when scratched, giving it extraordinary longevity in Hubbleton's ~788 mm annual rainfall. The Alunar coating applied to both sides provides a second barrier against moisture, especially important in freeze-thaw climates. After 25+ years, an aluminum roof remains structurally sound while steel competitors show rust staining, joint corrosion, and fastener failure.
Can a metal roof stand up to Wisconsin wind gusts?
Yes — Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Hubbleton's typical gusts reach about 95 km/h, so you have a comfortable safety margin. The interlocking design distributes wind load across the entire panel assembly rather than concentrating stress at fasteners, which is why standing-seam and slate profiles perform so well in high-wind regions. Even the Mediterranean Tile profile, which looks like individual clay tiles, maintains the same structural integrity because each aluminum piece locks four ways to its neighbors, not just two.
What's the hail rating on Interlock metal roofing, and could it lower my insurance?
Interlock carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible aluminum design means zero risk of impact-related water intrusion or structural failure during severe weather. Some insurers offer discounts for Class 4 roofing; contact your agent with the UL 2218 certification. Over 25+ years in Hubbleton's variable spring weather, this impact resistance protects your home and avoids the incremental damage that softer materials (asphalt, wood) suffer and compound with each storm.
How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof actually need?
Far less than asphalt, wood, or tile. Aluminum does not split, curl, or rot, so there's no seasonal repairs or re-nailing. Debris washes off in Hubbleton's ~788 mm of annual rain, and the Alunar coating resists algae and mold. You don't clean gutters constantly because leaves don't stick to smooth metal the way they do asphalt. The ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790) verifies reduced maintenance as a sustainability feature. Concrete or clay tile roofs require periodic resealing, broken-piece replacement, and gutter clearing; aluminum's maintenance cost over 30 years is roughly 5–10% of what tile or wood demands, freeing up your budget for other priorities.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?
Yes—compare the total cost of ownership over 30+ years, not the first invoice. Asphalt lasts 15–20 years in Hubbleton's ~87 freeze-thaw days and 86 cm of snow, meaning you'll replace it 1–2 times in that span. Interlock aluminum carries a lifetime limited non-prorated warranty for the original owner and a 50-year transferable term for the next owner, so you install it once and it outlasts two asphalt cycles. Add in avoided maintenance (no moss removal, no resealing, no missing-shingle repairs), reduced cooling costs from energy-efficiency reflectance, and lower insurance premiums for Class 4 impact resistance, and the metal roof is typically cheaper per year of protection. You're buying your last roof.
What does Interlock's Guardian Warranty actually cover?
The Guardian is a lifetime limited non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, which is enormous—it means your home's resale value gets a 50-year warranty that you can hand to the buyer. There's no time-based deductible or exclusion for normal weathering, so freeze-thaw cycling in Hubbleton (87 days per year) or heavy snow (86 cm annually) don't trigger gotchas. Compared to 15-year asphalt warranties with staggered coverage, this is comprehensive peace of mind backed by a manufacturer operating since 1998 in Delta, BC.
Do cool-roof metal shingles actually save money on air conditioning in Wisconsin?
Yes, especially in summer. Interlock's energy-efficient colors have thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55, meaning they reflect heat that dark asphalt absorbs and radiates into your attic. In Hubbleton's ~3093 annual sunshine hours, that reflection compounds daily. Cool roofs lower peak attic temperature by 10–15°F on sunny days, reducing the strain on AC systems and extending their lifespan. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating quantifies this performance. Over 25+ years, the energy savings—modest in Wisconsin springs but meaningful in summer—add up alongside the durability benefit. Aluminum's light weight also means less thermal mass to heat in winter, a secondary efficiency gain.
Is a metal roof fire-safe in a forested area?
Aluminum is non-combustible and qualifies for Class A fire rating, the highest available. Unlike wood shakes or asphalt (which burn), aluminum will not ignite, spread flame, or produce smoke even when exposed to direct flame or embers. The ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790, reissued 2025) certifies code compliance for IBC/IRC, and the non-combustible aluminum design is also CALGreen-verified. If you're near wooded parcels or on a hillside in Hubbleton, Class A protection offers genuine peace of mind: no ember penetration at seams, no thermal runaway in joints. It's a material advantage that asphalt and wood fundamentally cannot match.
