Interlock Metal Roofing has the worst customer service communications I have dealt with in a long time. I hesitated to complete this survey because I believe the product is of good quality. I also wanted you to experience what is like to wait weeks/ months for a reply!! I suspect they are short staffed hence the lack of communication. Poor Customer Service and Communication are key to a successful business. No. We, Don & Sheila Munro, do not want this review appear publicly but it does need to be shared with the various people involved in our contract/claim. I would like to hope this is a one of but I suspect the communication issue needs to be addressed.

“I contacted John 4 times over the course of a year by phone and by email. I finally caught up with him at the local Home Show and arranged for him to come out to the house to measure the roof and write up a quote. Once I did that he was here on time and wrote up the quote in a timely manner.”

“Our project was to start by the end of August as stated in our contract. We had no contact with either our rep or the office in Halifax re the delay. I called on Oct 10, 16, 23 and finally on Oct 24 I left a phone message & emailed threatening to ask for my deposit back due to breech of contract. Here is a copy of my email: "Hello John, Are you still in business? Is Maritime Permanent Roofing still in business? Despite our efforts to contact you or the Dartmouth office we know nothing about the status of our roofing project. Here is the message that I sent this morning to [email protected] "We need to talk to customer service regarding our contract , dated July 3, 2023, for a roofing project to be completed within 8 weeks (by August 31, 2023) This was a small project (a porch roof and a verandah roof) If you cannot honour our contract by November 17, 2023 we want a refund of our deposit and we will find another installer. We have not been able to contact anyone at the Maritime office nor our sales rep, John Amirault, by phone or email. You have our $2372.50 deposit . Are you still in business? Please contact me re next steps?" Sheila & Don Munro" All I needed was a phone response to my inquiries notifying me of the delay. No excuse for this poor communication. We knew weather would be a factor but no one responded to our inquiries as to a delay. In fact I never was able to communicate with the Halifax office. The calls were forwarded to a British Columbia number and it was either not answered or messages not checked. When John came to measure the roof project for our verandas, he noticed the main roof, completed in April 2011, had faded and suggested we should submit a claim. I did so, completing the form, taking pictures and sending in the claim by mail in May 2023. I never received confirmation of receipt. When I phoned the office (May 17, 2023) of Gordon Warren, Purchasing Manager, Delta Building Projects, (9069 River Way, Delta BC), the person (in BC) responsible for claims, he did not actually confirm he had received it. Just said if I sent it in, it must be there. We have not heard anything further about the claim nor has anyone been here to inspect our main house roof.”
