I would highly recommend this company

La Grange, Illinois

5/5

Dear John,

I wish I had known about the Interlock Roofing System before I put the last new roof on twenty years ago. If I had, I would not have had to replace it again now. At least now I won’t need to worry about the roof ever again because of the lifetime limited warranty with its 50 year transferable and non-prorated features.

When I first suggested to my wife that we consider a metal roof, she was concerned about the noise level during storms. This concern disappeared after the first storm as the noise level was much less than before the metal roof was installed.

Speaking of installation, we were very happy with the way your installation crew did their job. They were careful with our landscaping, cleaned up each day and when they finished and left, the only sign of their having been there was the new roof itself.

The new Interlock roof looks great, and we have been complimented on it by many neighbors as well as people passing by. Our home insurance company was also happy with the new roof and its Class 4 hail impact resistant rating, which will give us a discount on the insurance premium.

We are very satisfied with the entire process of getting a new roof installed. From the initial discussion with the sales representative, the installation crew, and final results, there were no surprises. We will also be very happy twenty years from now when we don’t have to put another roof on the house.

Thank you,
Jerome Sund

Exceptional service before, during and after the sale

Fayetteville, North Carolina

5/5

The purpose of this letter is to thank you for an absolutely outstanding job in recommending, selling and installing an Interlock aluminum slate shingle roof to our home in Fayetteville, NC in October 2014. You and your team did an amazing job!

We sincerely appreciate your help in recommending the Interlock aluminum slate product. After considerable research, and based on your recommendations about the quality of this product versus standing seam and other aluminum shingle products, we decided to purchase and install the Interlock product. The service that you provided after the sale, keeping us informed about ridge venting systems and the installation process was extremely valuable. The bottom line is that you provided exceptional service before, during and after the sale, and during the installation process.

I also want to commend your installation team, led by Mr. Santiago lzaquire. This crew worked extremely hard, from arrival on the job site to almost dark, every day of the four-day installation process. In addition to a flawless installation job, they willingly answered questions, addressed concerns, cleaned up exceptionally well every day, and were an absolute pleasure to have at our home. You are commended for having such an outstanding crew.

In summary, we are extremely pleased with the Interlock product, and could not be happier.

Best regards and thank you again for an exceptional experience.

Sincerely,

The noise of the rain on the aluminum roof is not much different from that of the asphalt shingles

5/5

Dear Interlock,

My asphalt shingle roof was starting to curl and disintegrate after just ten years. Although I had considered metal the last time around, the cost seemed too high. This experience suddenly made it seem like the better choice.

Barry arrived on June 16 and delivered a wonderful presentation on the merits of Interlock aluminum products, reaffirming much of the information available on the internet. The price quoted was more or less as expected, although he did talk me out of the more expensive shake profile which featured in my plans. The one surprise was that my preferred colour, the aged copper, came at an added cost. It would have been helpful had the website indicated that it commanded a premium price.

The timeline was for installation anywhere from 2 to 7 weeks from signing. Provincial Foreman Tony advised me that the boxes of metal shingles and other materials would be delivered on June 27, but they actually arrived early the following morning.

Kelly headed up the crew who did the actual installation. He kept me advised about timing and let me know when illness delayed their arrival by a few days. They showed up as promised on July 7 and had about half the house done before noon, working very smoothly together as a team, with the underlayment completed. Note that the underlayment comes with its own 50-year warranty and claims that it can cover a roof for up to six months without protection. This may be standard but seems like good quality to me.

Cleanup was very good. The roof was completed on their second day of work, July 11, with a weekend of rain intervening. They also managed to do the entire garage roof (a separate building) the same day. The house roof is 17 squares, with the garage being another 7. Both are hip roof style.

Cleanup was again quite good – I followed around for the final look and didn’t spot anything. However, the next day a closer look around found several strips of the cut asphalt shingles on top of a hedge and in a flower bed (well hidden, in all fairness), along with a few small pieces of cut aluminum which might pose a hazard for some of the younger children who routinely pass through my yard. Yesterday I found two aluminum nails which came to light only after a decent rainfall. Disappointingly, some cut shingles were also left in the gutters which is a much greater problem for an older person, meaning me, to resolve.

Note that the noise of the rain on the aluminum roof is not much different from that of the asphalt shingles. Perhaps a slightly higher pitch, but the insulation in the attic and the fact that the old shingles were left on the roof under the aluminum perhaps helped to make it almost unnoticeable.

Two days was quite a bit less than the estimated five for the installation. No complaints on this front. From signing the contract to completion was less than four weeks, which ranks as excellent service.

Neighbours have been very complimentary about the appearance, with one opining that it’s the best-looking roof in the area.

At the end of the day, my house and garage have great looking roofs which should add value when the house is sold (not anytime soon) and will not require replacement for the remainder of my ownership. Interlock personnel all performed admirably, and I am pleased with the final result.

Thank you.

I have found only one big problem with our new roof...

5/5

Barry,

Our new Interlock roof has been on our house for about a week, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

The entire process was professional from the time we called Interlock, to your visit to show us the various products, to the completed installation.
Your advice on selecting the type of Interlock product for our house was appreciated, and looks wonderful.

The installers – Toma and his crew from Gravelle Renovations- were very professional and polite. They worked through some terrible winter weather in order to complete our installation. They also ensured that the yard was tidy at the end of every day they were onsite.

In short, we are very satisfied with the quality of the product, the installation, and the overall look of our new Interlock roof. We now have peace of mind that we will not have to worry about our roof for a very long time.
I have found only one big problem with our new roof, though… We can’t see it from inside! Our neighbours have commented on how nice it looks, but we have to go outside to appreciate it.

We got exactly what we wanted, which was a sharp looking profile that would blend in with the architecture of the house

5/5

Hi Barry,

Our roof has been completed for about a month now and we’re starting to feel settled in our new house. We are very happy with the results and the process taken to get there.

First of all, the crew was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone. They were really friendly and very hard working. The temperatures were in the low 30s for the entire week, but these guys were troopers and were very committed to the job. I was very impressed with their focus while enduring extreme heat, on a black roof with no escape from the sun. They did a great job and the work site was kept clean and tidy. Boxes and trash were removed daily and our home functioned as normal when work was completed for the day.

Most importantly, we are very impressed with the roof itself. We got exactly what we wanted, which was a sharp looking profile that would blend in with the architecture of the house. We didn’t want something flashy that would be the focal point of our property; however, since we started the process of educating ourselves on roofs, we’ve come to better appreciate this feature of a home. The Interlock slate shingles we chose are quite subtle and look much like a traditional roof, but a closer inspection reveals a sleek and attractive finish with well-integrated flashing’s and vents. The ridge vents are essentially invisible.

The biggest selling feature for us was the longevity of the roof. We hope this investment will truly mean that this is our “last roof”. So far, Interlock has delivered on all its promises and we are very pleased with the choice we made. Thanks to you and your colleagues for the work you have done. The roof is a great addition to our home and we’re looking forward to many years of living under it.

Regards,
Greg and Anne

The roof immediately changed the look of our house

Shoreline, Washington

To all at Interlock Roofing,

We have owned our home for 2 years, and have needed a new roof since the day we moved in. Both of us were hesitant to just get a new shingle roof as we are planning to stay in this home for many years to come.

As we researched other roofing alternatives, we found information about Interlock Roofing and their metal roofs. The sales representatives were prompt and very kind, allowing us time to make our decision while giving us detailed information to help guide us in our decision making process.

We had the pleasure of getting an aluminum roof installed by Interlock Roofing in March 2016. The roof immediately changed the look of our house, making it look much newer and brighter. We were getting compliments the day it was installed!  The roofing crew was very polite and friendly, they even took time to play with our dog (who loves people with a passion). After the crew left, you wouldn’t have known we had the roof installed that very day, they did such a good job cleaning up!

We have had our new roof for about 4 months now, and we could not be happier.

Thank you Interlock Roofing!

Dear Interlock,

I would like to say “thank you” for our new roof, it looks amazing.

I’m so happy that we chose your company and your product.  It is so nice to know that we will never have to re-shingle again.

I also wanted you to know how pleased we were with the reliable service we had from our installers. They were here when they said they would be and they worked hard from start to finish.

I would also to thank you guys for taking the time to answer my questions and for making sure that we understood the process that we were going through.

We would have no problem recommending your company or your product to anyone we know that has to redo the roof it is well worth the time and money.

If I had to install a roof again, there would be no question that I would go with Interlock Roofing again

Delafield, Wisconsin

I want to share my experience about getting a new roof with Interlock Roofing.  I purchased a house with the knowledge that a new roof was needed.  The idea of an expensive reoccurring expense on anywhere from a 15 to 25 year time period was unsettling.  After purchasing my townhouse, one of my goals was to make my house as maintenance free as possible with the knowledge that in the future the home may not be owner occupied.  After I had Greg Webber come out and give me an estimate I took a bit of time to do research, look at quite a few homes with different styles and colors.  As an engineer, I was impressed with the material and the commitment that Interlock has to stand by not only the product but also the installation.  The thought of my roof either maintaining or appreciating in value over time put my mind at ease looking forward to the future.  After deciding to move forward with Interlock, the decision was what color and style.  This is was maybe the most difficult part of the decision and am thankful of Greg and the patience had with me.  I was able to find a time that would be feasible for Greg and another family member to finalize the color and style.  I went with the slate and the weathered gray which ended up matching well with the front of the house which has white and gray in the brick and did not contrast to sharp with the tan of the siding.

Due to the original construction of my house, there were some concerns that I had with the roof and the install.  When the house was originally constructed, there was only roof vents on one side for ventilation, also I wanted to remove the Satellite dish that was installed on the chimney and last but not least the flashing around the chimney was incorrect and did not have a kick out to drain the water into the gutters and therefore I drained into my garage instead.  Jesse did a terrific job of the install and addressed all of the issues of the original construction and couldn’t be any happier.

Since completion, I have received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends.  If I had to install a roof again, there would be no question that I would go with Interlock Roofing again.

Sincerely,
Steve R.

Excellent roof! Looks good!

Installers were courteous and professional. Put the tarp all around the house and kept the site very clean. I was impressed with their super service. They bent over backward to please us. The A-Team of Roofing!

When it rains it is NOT any louder and we are in a wind zone and shingles have not blown off and we have had the roof for since 2008.
The snows slides off, too!

And Greg Weber the salesman knows his product and explains it well. It will add value to the house. Unlike asphalt, that’s like tar and paper, and doesn’t hold up. The Interlock Lifetime Roof is super durable!

We couldn't be prouder of how our house looks now

Jefferson, Wisconsin

Hello Greg,

Just had to drop you a line to tell you how pleased we are with the Interlock Roofing System that was installed last week. I have to admit that as good as I was hoping it would look, it turned out to be so much better than I had even hoped. We couldn’t be prouder of how our house looks now, the new roof is visually stunning. We can now breath a huge sigh of relief knowing that we’ll never again have to go out into the yard and pick up the pieces of asphalt shingles that would blow off of the roof after a storm or a high wind day. To boot, the very day after the roof was completed, we had someone who identified himself only as “your nosy neighbor from 10 miles down the road” who stopped, knocked on our door and started asking questions about the roof. He was shocked to hear that it was a metal roof. He thought that we had installed a slate roof! He was very interested to hear all the facts about the roof, and suddenly I became Interlock Roofing’s most avid salesman. I brought out your business card so that he could take a picture of it with his cell phone and he said he’d be contacting you soon. I’ve also been talking about the roof with some of the guys at work who have seen the before and after pictures that I brought in and I’m sure that you will be hearing from some of them in the future too.

Now, as much as I couldn’t be happier with contacting you, and doing business with you, I have to tell you that even you will have to take a back seat to the super awesome job of your installers, Jesse and his team. To say we were blown away by these guys would be the understatement of the century. They came in like a whirlwind and started doing their thing and made astounding progress in such a short period of time, it blew us away. Jesse himself is such a great face to have attached to your company. He is professional, knowledgeable and so personable that we knew in an instant that we were in good hands with him and his team. All of his team members were that way, and honestly the hardest working group of guys that you will ever witness. We expected it to take anywhere from 5 days to a week to get our whole roof done. These guys had it done in 2 days and a couple of hours, and they left no stone unturned in doing the A-1 job that was promised. They even fixed a couple of cosmetic items on our existing siding to boot! What a great bunch of guys. And let me reiterate one more time,…Interlock, as a company, should feel confident and proud to have Jesse and his team representing them. I’m positive that you will never find a better team to install your product than them.

Again, thank you for the product and the work that you’ve done. You now have, not only a very satisfied customer in us, but you also have a couple of very enthusiastic ambassadors for Interlock Roofing Systems.

With Happiest Regards,
David & Ellen S.

We look forward to many years under our new roof

West Linn, Oregon

Thank you Interlock Roofing for providing such a quality product and installation from which we will receive years of permanent protection from the elements. The job went smoothly. The crew showed up early and stayed late, answered all our questions, leaving a clean job site at the end of each day. The attention to detail was impressive. The house was a complex roof with skylights, vents and a masonry chimney. The quality and design of all the types of flashing’s, ridge vent, and fasteners were quite impressive and were expertly installed. The hardworking crew was attentive and stayed late when a rainstorm was expected to ensure we were watertight. This diligent crew was the best representative Interlock can have.

From the initial contact at the Home and Garden Show in Portland to the visit from the Interlock Representatives to explain the product and show us the options, the experience was enjoyable and fun. One does not expect such friendliness when dealing with a larger company.

We look forward to many years under our new roof.

The roof qualified for federal energy credits and meets “Energy Star” ratings, so I saved money on taxes

Portsmouth, Rhode Island

It has been a year since I had my Interlock roof installed and I have meant to write this letter. I am glad I waited because I discovered additional advantages to the roof system by Interlock. I initially was impressed by the planning. Mr. Baldassari explained roof, brought samples, how it would be installed on my house and interface with existing gutters. He also provided local addresses of Interlock roofs that I could view which was very helpful.  During the planning process, he recommended changes I may not have thought of but would eliminate future costs and problems.  In my case, he recommended the replacement of several failing skylights which I would purchase but be installed at no charge.

The job went smoothly. The crew showed up early and stayed late, answered all my questions, leaving a clean, organized job site at the end of each day. The attention to detail was impressive. The house was a complex roof with several skylights, vents, and a masonry chimney. There was also a large barn and outbuilding, Demetri, one of the crew, reinstalled a large weathervane on the barn assuring me if he installed it, it would never come off. I was happy with the roof install.

Since the install, I have found additional benefits.  Because my roof had not failed completely the Interlock roof was able to be installed over the existing roof eliminating the cost of strip off and keeping all the asphalt shingles out of the landfill. I also reduced my insurance risk; one of the considerations was the high wind rating. I live in a hurricane high wind zone for insurance coverage. The deductible was about equal to a new asphalt roof if I put a new conventional roof on replacement cost is not covered, and they prorate it and give you even less as the roof ages, so you basically have no roof insurance. I feel I do not have that problem now with the Interlock roof due to the high wind rating and warranty. I have just retired, and this gives me a great piece of mind, a lifetime durable roof.  I also lowered my insurance cost as now all buildings have a class “A” fire rating on the roof. The roof qualified for federal energy credits and meets “Energy Star” ratings, so I saved money on taxes.  My energy costs are lower; the roof reflects summer heat keeping the attic cooler reducing air conditioning costs. My attic is vented to outside and uninsulated, so there is no advantage to heating. This roof also eliminates ice dams due to its design, and while many homes had ice dams and water damage to the interior of the house last winter, I had no formation of ice dams and no damage at all, an unexpected bonus. I do not notice any noise from rain or weather an initial concern I had.  I live on a busy street and have people stop to compliment on the roof (aged copper) and get information which I am happy to give.  I have a more beautiful home, peace of mind, and will never have to re-roof.

Thanks,
David R.

The roof has been fine; we have no issues

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness

My husband and I purchased a home with an existing Interlock roof from his parents this past year. The roof has been fine, we have no issues. However, we are looking to add an addition to our home and because interlock requires their staff to perform all work on the roof because of the warranty we contacted them regarding this. My husband has attempted to reach Interlock for the past 1-2 months with out any call back from anyone. He just keeps getting the front desk secretary that answers the phone and takes the message. He has even requested to speak with the supervisor of the Sharon branch, but again with no call back. I have never experienced such a terrible customer service experience from a company. I do not recommend pursuing a metal roof with Interlock for the fear that if you had a problem with your roof, you may not get in touch with anyone to repair it. If you do proceed with Interlock, prepare yourself to have to call them multiple times per day every day.

Update: I received a call back from Interlock today after receiving my google review. Thankfully, they have begun to work on my outstanding issue.
