Product, yes. Local vendor, no. See below for explanation. 1. Communication, communication, communicatio! 2. Management should get involved when there are problems so the scheduler isn't stuck in the middle. 3. Salesperson should be educated on changes in the product design so there are no surprises for returning customers.

Detailed Ratings

Likely To Recommend

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“Product, yes. Local vendor, no. See below for explanation.”

Sales Punctuality

★★★★ Agree
“Once we finally we finally connected with Mike, he was punctual. However, after leaving many messages asking for someone to call us about our project, we finally got a response after we posted a complaint on Google.”

Sales Knowledge

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“No one seemed to know that the size and pattern of slate style shingles we had installed in 2011 that we were extending onto our addition roof had been changed. The problem wasn't discovered until the shingles were first being installed. Part of the crew left abruptly because we were told they had to go finish another job. We were then informed by Jennifer that the shingles were the wrong color because we had ordered the wrong color. However, as we originally told Mike Rasmussen when we placed the order in 11/21, it was the color listed in our 2011 contract and was shown in the brochure we had saved from that time. There was a big problem communicating with the first crew who didn't speak much English. So we didn't realize for several days that aside from being a different color, the size and pattern of the shingles were also wrong so they could not be installed in line with our original roof. Our installation was delayed six weeks until the correct shingles were manufactured and delivered. As a result, we had rain leaking into our addition several times around the skylights. Nazeer put some material around them once. But it leaked again until he finally installed the underlayment over the entire roof which should have been installed by the first crew weeks before.”

Employees Professionalism

★★☆☆☆ Disagree
“We had a lot of problems getting responses from Jennifer to both our voicemail and email requests for clarification of what the problem was with our order and when to expect the new shingles to arrive. When we realized she was really the "middle person," we asked to speak to the manager but we never heard from him. We finally reached out to Mike Rasmussen who was a better communicator to get better answers to our questions.”

Communication

☆☆☆☆ Strongly disagree
“Aside from what was already noted, the installation didn’t begin until 2 days after we were told it would start. Nazeer, the field rep, showed up before the crew did expecting them to be here. When he called the office they didn't know where they were and couldn't reach them. At one point during our saga, when we weren't hearing back from Jennifer after her vacation, we discovered tha she was now out sick. Someone should have been covering for her when she was out of the office.”

Installation Crew

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“As noted previously, the first crew showed up 2 days after they were expected and half the crew left abruptly a couple of hours later supposedly to finish another job rather than tell us there was a problem with the shingles. They also used our ladder (which they found behind our barn) and our contractor's ladders without asking for permission instead of using their own. This could have been a huge liability issue. They also asked if there was any Zip tape they could use rather than using their own. The second crew did a good job installing the shingles and fixed some problems with the previously installed standing seam roof (see Q8 below).”

Quality Of Materials

★★★★★ Strongly agree

Quality Of Workmanship

★★★★ Agree
“For the most part it was good but the second crew had to fix some flashing and had to redo the corners done by the first crew.”

Clean & Safe

★★★★ Agree
“The first crew left a couple of 2x6 boards. The second crew left a bit of trash.”

Professional Completion

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“We are happy with the results. However, the fact that the local management never responded to our request to speak to us, nor reached out to us during the entire project to discuss the delay was totally unprofessional.”

Problem Resolution

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“The problems were eventually resolved but did not effectively address the problems as they occurred as per previous comments.”

Schedule

★★★☆☆ Neutral
“As previously noted, the first crew showed up 2 days late.”
