What our customers are saying:
Everybody was great to work with highly professional. Any underlying damage was all taken care of and we love the roof.
> We had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Brown at the Mohegan Sun Home Show and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell him how happy we are with our Interlock roof of ~20 years. We constantly receive compliments from people passing by on how beautiful it looks. Most of all, we appreciate the peace of mind it gives us—knowing we’ll never have to replace our roof, thanks to the lifetime warranty and guaranteed protection against leaks.
Jonathan was great help getting us all the information needed for the roof and what to expect, and the whole process. The installation was fast, the roofers were hard working and professional. The look of the metal roof is superb!
It was a pleasure working with Interlock from beginning to end. The back office was good about setting expectations for job start and duration, delivery of materials (which happened on time) and work to be performed. They were also good about making adjustments to work with trim that needed to be replaced, etc. The crew that did the install and cleanup was very professional and hard working. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Interlock! This is actually my second roof, I had one installed on a different property 20 years ago and it has held the test of time with virtually no maintenance.
What a beautiful roof. We are so happy and now we have a forever roof. Thank you. Techs were great. Positive: Punctuality, Quality Services: Roof installation
Salesman was very courteous and polite. Straight forward no hype or fluff. Company kept constant contact, took care of the required building permits. Had the dumpster and materials delivered on time and removed quickly. The crew was phenomenal, polite courteous. Explained everything, and was very conscientious about their work. If the the nail didn't go in the way he liked he pulled it and did it right. Nailing was all done by hand. Roof has been great since no issues and still looks great. Over all very pleased and well worth the money.
Couldn’t have chosen a better product, it’s been 2 years since installation and have absolutely no issues. The house is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Speaking of winter it’s only a matter of hours after a snow storm that all the snow slides right off, no more ice dams and ice filled gutters. The installers were awesome had the entire roof done in a day and a half and cleaned up prior to leaving. We love our Interlock roof.
This letter has been a long time in coming. My husband and I had an Interlock Roof installed in November 2009 and have been meaning to tell you how pleased we are with the look of the new roof and the service provided by the installers ~ Nazaar and Vitality. We’ve gotten many questions and compliments from friends, neighbors and passersby. Both our home and detached garage needed to be re-roofed, with both requiring removal of the old roofing material and the installation of plywood before applying the Interlock product. We were originally told that it would take up to 2 weeks for the job to be completed. To our amazement, the job was completed within a week’s time and that included inclement weather! Nazaar and Vitaliy put in very long days, were very polite, honored their commitments and ALWAYS cleaned everything up before they left for the day. We have children and a dog and found not one nail in the yard after the job was completed. Based on this experience and a product that speaks for itself, we would definitely recommend an Interlock Roof!
I wish to thank " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">Interlock Industries, Inc. for a great roofing system. I'm 100% satisfied and it has a clean and beautiful look. It's great! It's wonderful to know the roof never need replacement again. I also wish to thank Bob Allen, Jerry and Paul McAllister for being so helpful in completing the work. I know this " target="\_blank" rel="noopener">roof system was right when we met Bob Allen the first time, he explained everything in detail. Everything he said was correct. The men who did the work were polite and respectiful, and were clean and neat in the work process. Thank you guys. I would recommend an Interlock Roof for every home, or any building and the long term ">cost is less than another roof system.
Sorry I didn’t get this to you sooner, but I just wanted to drop you a line on the excellent installation of my roof by Nazar and Sergei. They installed our roof in February and never let the harsh weather affect their attention to detail and their determination to do quality work. I was very fortunate to get these two Ukrainian gentlemen as my installers.
I am writing to tell you how much my wife and I are satisfied with our new roof from Interlock Roofing. Our old asphalt shingles were showing the effects of time both aesthetically and functionally. Most noticeably was the water mark on the living room ceiling that just kept growing with each passing rain. We certainly weren't looking forward to buying a new roof, since we were still paying for our wedding six months before, but knew we had to do something soon. I mentioned to Dawn that I had heard metal roofs were becoming popular because of how long they last; but she was concerned our home would look like a fast food restaurant, a factory, or even worse a tin roof barn. She made it clear that a modern looking metal roof would ruin the look of our 1860s vintage home. I said I thought I had seen a couple of years ago a house that was done with what I thought the sign said was metal but looked like shingles instead of ridged sheets she pictured. The problem was I couldn't remember the name of the roofer – just that they had an orange sign. A friend of our mentioned there was a Home Show coming up in Worchester and we figured it would be fun to look around and dream about improvements we could make. As we walked the aisles, I saw your familiar orange sign and product display booth. I said to Dawn look at this! This looks really nice – it looks just like " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">slate! Wouldn't that look really great on our house! Two weeks later, you explained what made Interlock Roofing different from other materials and the lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty helped us feel confident in making what was for us a major purchase decision. Although an Interlock roof might cost more initially, we think it is well worth it knowing we will never have to buy another roof for this home again. Your company and crews are great! A representative called to let us know materials were being delivered and when they arrived they were neatly stored out of the way until the work began. A supervisor called to let us know when the work would begin, and except for two days of rain which delayed their start, the job was completed within the estimated three days. At the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves and when the job was competed they raked up any pieces that may have been missed in the grass. The completed roof looks great and enhances the appearance of our home. We have had many people stop and compliment us on it and at least one had already installed an Interlock roof of their own. Should we ever move from this home in the future, one of the features we will look for is an Interlock roof or plan on upgrading to one in our new home as well.
Just wanted to let you know that we are very satisfied with the aluminum interlocking roof which was installed in July of 2005. It was amazing to us how quickly and efficiently your men worked in removing our old asphalt layers of roof and installing the new one. Needless to say, we were very impressed with their work as well as our new roof! Unfortunately, during installation of the roof, damage was done to the interior ceiling of our dining room. Interlock did respond and the damaged area was repaired in a timely manner. Unfortunately our existing ceilings are plaster and the repaired area was done in wallboard which simply do not match. In order for this to be repaired properly, the entire ceiling has to be repainted with a light texture. Whatever you can do to help rectify the pending repair to the interior ceiling would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you in the near future. Once again, thank you for offering us the opportunity to upgrade our home with an outstanding roof.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Springdale
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Springdale, Connecticut. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Springdale.
Does a metal roof handle Connecticut's snow load and ice dams?
Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow and ice reliably because the smooth, hard surface prevents adhesion — unlike asphalt, which traps moisture. Springdale receives about 63 cm of snow annually across roughly 66 freeze-thaw cycles per year, a pattern that degrades asphalt through repeated expansion and contraction. Aluminum's oxide layer doesn't crack or split under this stress. Snow guards are available if you want to control shedding in certain roof sections. The lightweight design means no structural reinforcement is needed, even in heavy snow years.
Why does freeze-thaw cycling matter for my roof choice?
Freeze-thaw cycles—Springdale experiences about 66 per year—cause materials to expand and contract repeatedly. Asphalt shingles and wood become brittle, crack, and curl under this stress; concrete and clay tile can fracture. Aluminum 3105-H24 alloy flexes without permanent damage and resists the fatigue that shortens competitor roofs' lives. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214), protects against UV exposure during those thaw periods when sun intensity peaks. Over a 50-year service life, this material simply outlasts the freeze-thaw cycle pattern your region creates.
Will a metal roof leak in Springdale's frequent heavy rain?
Springdale receives approximately 1,251 mm of rain annually—well above the U.S. average. Interlock's four-way interlocking design creates an overlap pattern that forces water downward and outward; no fastener heads protrude above the panel surface to collect or direct water sideways. The interlocks self-align during installation, so water cannot pool at seams. Professional installation over a solid deck with underlayment (the standard for all Interlock systems) provides the same watertight performance as asphalt, with the added benefit that metal won't rot or absorb moisture. Gutters and downspouts handle the volume the same way they do for any roof.
Can an aluminum roof rust like steel roofing does?
No—aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. When aluminum surface scratches, an oxide layer forms automatically and self-heals, preventing corrosion even in salt-air environments (Interlock has installed homes from coastal British Columbia to an Antarctic research station). Interlock's 3105-H24 roofing-grade aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) is engineered specifically for durability. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating—applied to both sides of every panel—adds 30-year protection against coastal salt spray and Springdale's 1,251 mm annual rainfall. This double-sided coating is unusual in the industry and reflects Interlock's manufacturing standard since 1998 in Delta, BC.
Does a metal roof hold up in hail, and can it lower my insurance costs?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible aluminum construction qualifies for Class A fire classification and often attracts homeowner insurance discounts (verify with your carrier). The lightweight design—Shake profile at 0.58 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete tile—installs over most existing roofs without structural upgrades, which reduces installation labor and cost. Given Springdale's wind gusts reaching 135 km/h and the region's freeze-thaw exposure, a hail-resistant, non-combustible roof may offset premium increases from other risk factors.
Will my metal roof withstand Connecticut wind gusts?
The warranty covers wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed per spec. Springdale's typical gusts reach 135 km/h, comfortably within that range, with the four-way interlocking panel design distributing uplift forces across multiple seams rather than concentrating them on fasteners. This overlap geometry is why Interlock panels resist hurricane-force wind without requiring additional bracing or reinforcement. Combined with the non-combustible aluminum material (Class A fire rating available), the design also resists wind-driven embers in wildfire zones. ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 (reissued 2025) verifies wind performance under IBC/IRC code.
What maintenance does an aluminum metal roof need?
Aluminum requires minimal maintenance—typically just annual gutter cleaning and occasional rinsing of debris or pollen, especially given Springdale's 3,115 annual sunshine hours, which keep the Alunar 70% PVDF coating (30-year warranty) self-cleaning. Unlike asphalt, which degrades under UV and requires patching after freeze-thaw cycles, or cedar shake, which splits and must be treated, aluminum does not rot, splinter, curl, or crack. The coating resists chalk buildup (ASTM D2244 certified), so the roof retains its appearance without pressure washing or repainting. Over a 50-year lifespan, the labor and material cost of maintenance on asphalt far exceeds that of metal.
Can a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient colors with thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) reflect summer heat that asphalt absorbs. Springdale's roughly 3,115 annual sunshine hours mean significant cooling savings over time, particularly in periods of sustained high temperature. Cool Roof Rating Council certification verifies these reflectivity values. The lightweight design—Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft—allows easier attic ventilation and air circulation compared to dense tile or asphalt. While Connecticut's mean temperature of 12.1°C is moderate, the cumulative effect of heat reflection over spring and autumn, when sunny days spike cooling loads, reduces HVAC run time and extends equipment life.
What warranty does Interlock offer, and how long will the roof last?
The Guardian lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty covers the original owner for the life of the roof—typically 50+ years under Springdale's conditions—and is transferable once, giving the next owner 50 years from completion date. Coverage includes rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance (UL 2218 Class 4). Asphalt requires replacement every 15–25 years; this is your last roof purchase. The 30-year Alunar 70% PVDF coating warranty ensures color and gloss retention even after 66 annual freeze-thaw cycles and 1,251 mm rainfall. Over a typical 50-year horizon, one metal roof replaces two to three asphalt roofs and eliminates repeat installation labor and landfill waste.
How is an Interlock metal roof installed, and can it go over my existing shingles?
Most installations proceed over the existing roof with a solid deck or furring strips and underlayment; removal is not required. The four-way interlocking panels lock together in sequence, creating a rigid skin that distributes loads evenly. Installation is faster than asphalt replacement because there are no shingles to tear off, no disposal hauling, and no landfill burden—the ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation (reissued 2025) and CALGreen verification confirm reduced construction waste. The lightweight profiles—Shake at 0.58 lb/sq ft, Tile at 0.59, about 96% lighter than traditional tile—mean no structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc. has served your region since 1999 and manages the complete process from inspection through final walkthrough.
