What our customers are saying:
I would like to take the time to thank you for stopping by and showing my family and I what a great product the Interlocking shingles are. We really appreciate the time that you spent here (2hrs.) to go over every inch of your product. You answered every question my family and I had about going with the aluminum shingle vs the asphalt shingle. I also want to say that you were in our home for 2 hours and that you did not spend the whole time talking about your product and that you took the time to talk a bit about yourself and where you were from. It was also nice that you took an interest in knowing a little about my family and I and our backgrounds. That really meant a lot to me. It showed me that you are a classy guy, a great businessman and that you care about the customer. Interlock Industries is very lucky to have a Marketing Manager like you. I will recommend the Interlock roof to anyone that needs a roof! Thank You for a great Product! P.S. THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT!
We recently purchased a new roof for our 30 year old home. The original roof on our home was in poor shape and as I work with many contractors in town, I realized that a new asphalt roof would not last the 30 years that the original roof did. We were first introduced to Interlock Industries at the home show at Gillette Stadium. From there we were visited at home by a salesman, Michael Yaniv. He explained how the whole process worked and was very helpful in choosing our roof - the one we ended up with was my least favorite but it works wonderfully with our house and we are very pleased with the final look. The workman completed the work in less than a week - and that included working all day Easter Sunday! Their work ethic and consideration of us and our home is to be commended. They were always pleasant, they worked long days and at the end of each day the work site was completely clean. The took care to avoid damaging any of our shrubs and gardens. The finished roof looks gorgeous and we have already had many comments on our "beautiful new roof." I was also surprised at how quiet it is during rainstorms - and it was tested this past weekend! We highly recommend your company and roof to anyone interested. You can call us at (number removed) if you have any questions.
After many years of having my roof repaired or replaced, I decided to call Interlock Industries, Inc. since I had miraculously just received an advertisement in my mail. After Paul Forrer came to my house in July and explained the procedure, etc, I was ready to hire the company. In October, the dumpster and shingles arrived. I was excited. Two men came at the end of October and have diligently worked almost everyday for two weeks. They are precise, neat, and knowledgeable. I am impressed with their work. I can not get over the change in the appearance of my house that their work has made. People slow down and gawk, others have stopped as they " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by and have complimented me on it. Thank you for making my home my castle!!!
I have been the owner of my home since 1979. Since then, I have been through water heaters, paint jobs and one roof. After the third water heater let loose, I decided there had to be better products out there. I now own a water heater that I can trust and my oil company will stand by. Two years ago, I saw two houses nearby with the Interlock roof. I said that is what I need for the same satisfaction that I got from the water heater. And I also got a roof that looks good and compliments the last paint job and shutters. I also have the guarantee to back up an excellent job that was done installing the roof. My next project is to find paint/siding that will give me a home with little maintenance and less worries.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Endicott
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Endicott, Massachusetts. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Endicott.
Does a metal roof handle Massachusetts snow and ice buildup?
Yes — Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are engineered for freeze-thaw cycles; Endicott averages about 75 cm of snow annually across roughly 84 freeze-thaw days. The smooth, hard aluminum surface sheds snow and ice more readily than asphalt or wood shake, reducing the weight load your home bears. Because Interlock panels weigh only 0.41 lb/sq ft (Shingle profile), even heavy wet snow creates far less structural strain than traditional slate or tile. Add optional snow guards to match your roof pitch and local snow-slide risk, and you'll eliminate ice dam concerns while protecting landscaping below.
Why does freeze-thaw cycling in New England matter for my roof choice?
Endicott experiences roughly 84 freeze-thaw cycles per year — a primary failure driver for asphalt and wood. Interlock aluminum cannot absorb moisture, split, or crack because it's a solid metal alloy (3105-H24 / 3003-H24 per ASTM B209) with no grain structure. Its oxide layer self-heals if scratched, blocking corrosion before it starts. In contrast, asphalt and wood swell, contract, and degrade with each freeze-thaw swing. Over 40–50 years, that cycling compounds; Interlock's Guardian Warranty covers cracking and splitting specifically because this material simply does not exhibit those failure modes.
How does a metal roof hold up in Endicott's wind and coastal gusts?
Endicott gusts reach about 135 km/h, well within Interlock's 120 mph (193 km/h) wind-resistance warranty when installed to specification. The four-way mechanical interlock — a patented system where each panel clips to its neighbors — distributes wind load across the entire roof plane rather than relying on fastener shear alone. ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790 confirms this design meets the 2024/2025 International Building Code for high-wind zones. Norfolk County's exposure to Atlantic weather systems demands this redundancy; traditional asphalt shingles, which depend on adhesive and fasteners alone, cannot match this load-sharing advantage.
Can aluminum roofing rust or corrode in Endicott's wet climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron — the element that oxidizes into rust. Instead, aluminum instantly forms a transparent oxide layer when exposed to air; this layer self-seals if scratched, preventing corrosion from spreading. Interlock adds a 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (Alunar®) applied to both sides of every panel, backed by a 30-year warranty against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214 / D2244). In Endicott's humid, freeze-thaw climate with about 1194 mm of annual rainfall, this dual protection — inherent aluminum chemistry plus two-sided paint — outperforms steel roofing, which requires constant vigilance against rust creep and fastener corrosion.
What's the hail rating on Interlock, and can it lower my insurance premiums?
Interlock metal roofing carries UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating — the highest available — and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible aluminum construction often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts when they switch from asphalt shingles. Contact your insurer with the UL 2218 Class 4 certification to ask about premium reductions; many carriers recognize impact-rated metal roofs as lower-claim risk. In New England, severe hail is less frequent than in plains states, but when it occurs, this rating and warranty provide complete peace of mind — something asphalt cannot match.
Will an Interlock metal roof reduce my cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient Interlock colors achieve thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny profile), meaning the roof reflects heat that asphalt roofs absorb and transfer into your attic. Endicott receives about 3062 sunshine hours annually; that solar load compounds over months. The reflective coating reduces attic temperature rise, lowering air-conditioning load and runtime. Cool Roof Rating Council testing confirms this advantage. Combined with Interlock's zero maintenance burden — no moss, no decay — you'll also avoid the shading loss that dirty asphalt develops. Over 40–50 years, the energy savings alone offset a portion of the material investment.
What does the Interlock warranty really cover, and for how long?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's transferable once to the next owner with 50 years of coverage from project completion. This means you're buying the last roof your home will ever need; when you sell, the new owner inherits a 50-year safety net. No asphalt or wood shake offers this — they're typically replaced every 15–25 years. Interlock, manufactured since 1998 in Delta, BC, has performed in conditions from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations, proving durability across extreme climates far harsher than Endicott's.
Can my home's framing support a metal roof, or do I need to reinforce it?
Interlock aluminum is so light that no structural reinforcement is required. The Mediterranean Tile profile, which visually mimics heavy clay or concrete tile, weighs only 0.59 lb/sq ft — about 96% lighter than the tiles it replicates. Compare that to asphalt shingles at roughly 2–3 lb/sq ft or clay tile at 12–15 lb/sq ft. Most homes built in Endicott over the past 50 years have roof framing rated for standard asphalt loads; Interlock installs under that threshold. You can even retrofit it over your existing roof in many cases, avoiding tear-off labor and landfill costs while eliminating structural concerns. Your local installer, Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc., will verify your specific framing during the estimate.
How does a metal roof handle Endicott's heavy rainfall?
Endicott receives about 1194 mm (47 inches) of rain annually. Metal roofs shed water faster than asphalt because the surface is non-porous and smooth; water runs off rather than penetrating into the material. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels overlap and seal mechanically; fasteners are hidden beneath the interlock, preventing water from finding a direct path to fastener holes. Installation includes solid decking and underlayment — the same setup that keeps asphalt roofs quiet in rain — ensuring any water that does reach the deck drains harmlessly. Since aluminum is non-absorbent and won't swell or separate from moisture exposure, your roof remains leak-free for decades. ICC-ES ESR-1790 confirms weather-resistance performance across the 2024/2025 IBC.
What's involved in installing an Interlock roof, and how long does it take?
Installation starts with a structural inspection and deck assessment by Interlock Metal Roofing (New England) Inc., your local installer since 1999. If your existing roof and framing are sound, Interlock panels often install directly over asphalt or wood shake — no tear-off required. New decking, underlayment, flashing, and trim follow, with the lightweight panels (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile) installed via the four-way interlock system. A typical residential roof takes 3–7 business days depending on complexity, pitch, and crew size. Because panels are manufactured to specification and require no on-site cutting or customization, timelines are predictable. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation cost.
