Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Manhasset

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Manhasset, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Manhasset.

Will a metal roof handle Manhasset's freeze-thaw cycles without degrading?

Yes—aluminum's non-porous oxide layer actually strengthens under freeze-thaw stress rather than weakening. Manhasset experiences about 66 freeze-thaw days per year, conditions that crack asphalt and split wood shakes. Aluminum expands and contracts uniformly; it won't trap moisture or delaminate. The four-way interlocking panels (ESR-1790 rated) accommodate this movement without opening seams, and the Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists the salt spray that accelerates degradation in our coastal climate.

How does an Interlock roof handle heavy snow and ice dams in winter?

The smooth, hard-anodized aluminum surface sheds snow and ice naturally—it won't absorb meltwater like asphalt, which leads to ice damming. Manhasset receives about 63 cm of snow annually. The panels' interlocking design and standing-seam option (no exposed fasteners) keep water out even under heavy snow load. Optional snow guards are available to manage avalanche-style slides. Because Interlock aluminum weighs only 0.41 lb/sq ft (vs. 96% heavier traditional tile), your roof structure faces no additional stress from accumulated snow.

Why won't an aluminum roof rust like steel roofing in salty air?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—only the oxide layer on its surface reacts with air, forming a self-healing protective barrier that actually gets stronger over time. In Manhasset's salt-laden air (typical for Nassau County coastal and near-coastal areas), steel roofing will rust within years; aluminum thrives. The Alunar coating—applied to both sides of each panel and warranted 30 years against corrosion—adds a second shield. You'll never replace a roof because rust has compromised its structure.

Does Manhasset's 1,250 mm of annual rain pose a leak risk with metal roofing?

No—in fact, rainfall is where metal roofing excels. The four-way interlocking panels create a continuous, overlapping shield that channels water away before it can penetrate; there are no exposed fastener holes that trap debris or weep. Manhasset's 1,250 mm annual rainfall won't find a seam. Installed over solid deck with underlayment, an Interlock roof is as water-tight as asphalt but lasts infinitely longer. The interlocking design means water moves across the surface, not through it.

Can a metal roof withstand Nassau County's wind gusts and coastal storms?

Yes—the roof is warranted to resist winds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to spec, and Manhasset's typical gusts reach about 135 km/h with rare extreme events. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels mechanically lock together, preventing uplift and racking even under sustained pressure. Each panel is fastened to the deck; there are no loose seams or exposed edges for wind to exploit. This design is why Interlock systems are installed from Atlantic-facing homes to Antarctic research stations.

Does my house need structural reinforcement to support an aluminum tile roof?

No reinforcement needed. The Interlock Tile profile weighs approximately 0.59 lb/sq ft—about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so your existing framing won't require upgrades. This exceptional light weight also means Interlock can install directly over most existing roofs, saving the cost and landfill impact of a full tear-off. The trade-off with traditional tile—structural cost, installation complexity, limited lifespan—disappears entirely, yet you get the authentic Mediterranean or slate appearance.

What does the Interlock warranty actually cover, and how long does it last?

The Guardian Warranty is a non-prorated, lifetime limited material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion—a major selling point in resale. No other roof gives you both zero-deductible coverage for the life you own it and multi-decade protection for the next owner. This warranty exists because aluminum, properly coated, simply doesn't fail; it's designed to outlast the house.

Will hail damage my metal roof, and could it lower insurance costs?

Interlock holds a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. In practice, aluminum's hardness and the panel's structural depth absorb impacts without denting or cracking. Many insurers offer discounts for Class 4-rated roofs because claims are rare. Manhasset's freeze-thaw stress and occasional coastal storms create conditions where impact resistance matters; aluminum's durable finish and non-combustible rating (Class A fire available) align with what insurers reward.

Can a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?

Yes—energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect rather than absorb solar heat, with initial reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning radiated heat escapes to the sky instead of entering your attic. Manhasset receives about 3,115 sunshine hours annually; that reflection adds up. Asphalt absorbs heat and transfers it indoors. Independent Cool Roof Rating Council data shows metal roofs reduce cooling demand by 10–25%, depending on color and local conditions. The Aged Copper Penny finish balances authentic appearance with measurable energy savings.

Who installs Interlock Metal Roofing in Manhasset, and how experienced are they?

Interlock Roofing of America has served the Nassau County region since 2014, making them deeply familiar with Manhasset's salt air, heavy snow, wind gusts, and freeze-thaw cycles. They understand local code (ESR-1790 compliant for IBC/IRC) and can advise on profile, color, and installation methods that maximize performance here. A local, experienced installer ensures proper four-way panel sealing, flashing details, and snow-guard placement—factors that separate a 50-year roof from one that fails in 10 years. Direct service also means faster warranty claims and maintenance.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Manhasset’s climate?

Yes. Manhasset averages about 63 cm of snow, 1251 mm of rain, roughly 66 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 135 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
