| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |

What our customers are saying:
I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.
I wasted 4 months of my time thinking i will have a beautiful metal roof just to learn that interlock will not be able to do it after all
Interlock Roofing could have improved their communication.
I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.
We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.
I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.
My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.
To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Old Brookville
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Old Brookville, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Old Brookville.
Will a metal roof handle Old Brookville's freeze-thaw cycles?
Yes. Aluminum expands and contracts with temperature swings, but it does so predictably and without degradation. Your area experiences about 66 freeze-thaw days annually, along with roughly 63 cm of snow. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) has no iron content, so it won't rust or corrode as moisture cycles in and out. The self-healing oxide layer on the aluminum surface actually strengthens with freeze-thaw exposure. Meanwhile, asphalt and wood shingles crack, curl, and split under the same conditions. A metal roof installed to spec will outlast the freeze-thaw climate that destroys conventional materials.
Does a metal roof handle heavy snow loads in Old Brookville?
Metal roofs handle snow load without issue, and Interlock's light weight is an advantage here. The Slate profile installs at about 0.41 lb per square foot—roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so no structural reinforcement is needed, even over existing roofs. Old Brookville receives about 63 cm of snow annually. Snow slides more easily off metal than asphalt, reducing ice dam formation. If you want snow to stay put, four-way interlocking panels accept snow guards without compromising the panel or the warranty. The real risk with heavy snow isn't load; it's ice dams on asphalt roofs. Metal's smooth profiles and superior drainage prevent that problem entirely.
Can a metal roof withstand Old Brookville's wind gusts?
Yes, without question. Typical daily winds average 18 km/h here, but gusts reach 135 km/h, and Interlock's warranty covers wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to spec. The four-way interlocking panel design is the key: each panel locks into its neighbors on all four sides, distributing wind load across the entire roof rather than relying on fasteners alone. This is why Interlock roofs have been installed from coastal salt-air homes to an Antarctic research station since 1998. Compare that to asphalt shingles, which fail under high wind because they depend on sealant and fasteners that degrade over time. Your roof won't blow off.
Why can't aluminum roofs rust like steel roofs?
Aluminum contains no iron, and rust is iron oxide. That's it. Interlock panels are made from roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209), certified non-ferrous. When aluminum is exposed to air, it forms a thin oxide layer that actually protects the metal underneath. If the coating is scratched, the oxide layer self-heals—it re-forms on its own. Steel roofs, by contrast, rely entirely on paint and coatings to prevent rust. Once that coating fails, iron oxidizes and the roof fails. In a climate like Old Brookville, with 1251 mm of rain and 63 cm of snow annually, this difference is critical. You get a roof that will never rust, never require repainting for corrosion, and never fail from moisture damage. The Alunar 70% PVDF finish is warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, but that's cosmetic—not structural.
Does hail damage matter with a metal roof in Old Brookville?
Metal roofs are actually more resilient to hail than asphalt, and Interlock's impact rating proves it. The Slate profile carries a UL 2218 Class 4 rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, bruise and tear under hail, triggering insurance claims and replacement cycles. Your homeowner's policy may actually recognize the Class 4 rating and offer a discount because a metal roof is less likely to fail from storm impact. Old Brookville receives roughly 3115 sunshine hours and about 1251 mm of rain annually, but severe hail events are rare compared to freeze-thaw and heavy snow. Still, when hail does fall, metal outperforms every other roofing material. You're protected by both the product and your wallet.
What does the Interlock warranty actually cover?
The Guardian is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's transferable once: the next owner gets 50 years of coverage from completion. That structure recognizes that a metal roof installed today will outlast you in this house. You don't pay more for year 30 than year 1—the entire roof is covered equally for life. The Alunar finish itself carries a separate 30-year warranty against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214 / D2244 measured). No asphalt or wood roof offers this. Most homeowners think about resale value; this warranty actually transfers that value to the next owner. It's insurance that compounds over decades.
Can a metal roof reduce cooling costs in Old Brookville?
Yes, but not dramatically—Old Brookville's mean temperature is 12.1°C, so cooling load is modest. Interlock's energy-efficient colors reflect heat rather than absorbing it: the Aged Copper Penny profile has initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council. That means on the roughly 3115 sunny hours you receive annually, those reflective colors return heat to the atmosphere instead of heating your attic. In a cooler climate, the real benefit is consistency: a metal roof maintains stable interior temperatures because it doesn't absorb and re-radiate heat like asphalt. Your HVAC cycles less frequently. Over a 50-year roof life, that efficiency compounds. The payoff isn't summer cooling; it's eliminating the energy waste that asphalt creates.
Does a metal roof need more maintenance than asphalt?
No—it needs less. Asphalt shingles require regular inspection for granule loss, moss growth (especially in humid climates), and sealant failure; wood shakes need treatment and frequent replacement of split shingles; tile requires remortar and crack repair. Interlock aluminum roofs require inspection once or twice per year and occasional debris removal—that's it. No paint, no coating reapplication, no granule replacement, no crack sealing. The Alunar 70% PVDF finish is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance. Old Brookville's 66 annual freeze-thaw days create conditions where asphalt degrades rapidly and wood splits. A metal roof simply endures those cycles without degradation. You gain time and money by choosing a roof that ages without failing.
Is aluminum roofing actually better for the environment?
Yes. Interlock panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, meaning the material returns to the aluminum supply chain rather than a landfill. Asphalt roofs are not recycled—they're torn off, trucked away, and dumped. Over Old Brookville's typical 60-year ownership cycle, you'll replace an asphalt roof two or three times, generating three tear-off loads of waste. A metal roof lasts a lifetime and can be recycled when it eventually does reach end of life. The manufacturing process in Delta, BC uses no asbestos or hazardous coatings. Because the roof won't need replacement, you avoid the energy cost of manufacturing and transporting new shingles repeatedly. A metal roof breaks the asphalt replacement cycle and closes the loop on material waste.
Who installs Interlock roofs in Old Brookville?
Interlock Roofing of America has served this region since 2014 and specializes in Interlock metal roofing installations throughout Nassau County. They're familiar with Old Brookville's freeze-thaw conditions, local building codes (ICC-ES ESR-1790 compliance), and HOA requirements. They handle everything from inspections and measurements to permitting and installation over existing roofs. Since panels weigh only 0.41 to 0.59 lb per square foot, most existing structures don't need reinforcement, and the installer can often complete work faster than traditional reroof jobs. Contact them for a free inspection and estimate. Local service means faster response times, familiarity with neighborhood drainage and wind patterns, and accountability within the community.
