Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Sea Cliff

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Sea Cliff, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Sea Cliff.

Can an aluminum metal roof rust in Sea Cliff's coastal salt air?

No. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy contains no iron—the element required for rust formation. Instead, aluminum develops a self-healing oxide layer that protects against salt corrosion. Both sides of every panel receive Alunar® 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214). With Sea Cliff averaging 1251 mm of annual rainfall and coastal salt exposure, this dual-sided protection is engineered specifically for environments like yours where steel roofs corrode.

How does a metal roof handle freeze-thaw cycles in a New York winter?

Aluminum expands and contracts minimally with temperature swings, and the four-way interlocking panel system allows controlled movement without stress fractures. Sea Cliff experiences about 66 freeze-thaw days annually, plus roughly 63 cm of snow. Traditional materials like wood and slate develop cracks; aluminum's molecular structure and coating flexibility prevent the splintering and degradation that freeze-thaw cycling causes in brittle materials. The Guardian Warranty covers cracking and splitting—conditions that aluminum simply does not develop in this climate.

Do I need snow guards on an aluminum metal roof in Nassau County?

Snow guards are optional and depend on your roof pitch and proximity to walkways or vehicles. Interlock panels support full snow loads typical for New York's 63 cm average annual snowfall without sagging or failure. The smooth surface of most profiles (Slate, Shake, Tile) allows snow to shed naturally in thaw cycles, reducing ice dam formation compared to asphalt shingles, which trap heat and create ice dams. At about 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft, the panels weigh so little that snow accumulation alone will never require structural reinforcement—a major advantage in heavy-snow areas.

Will my homeowner's insurance cover hail damage, and can a metal roof reduce premiums?

Interlock aluminum roofs carry UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Some insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 impact resistance; contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 certification and ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation to discuss rate adjustments. Sea Cliff's gusts reach 135 km/h, and hail occurs unpredictably in this region. A non-prorated lifetime limited warranty plus certified impact resistance makes aluminum roofing attractive to underwriters evaluating long-term risk.

Can a metal roof withstand Nassau County's coastal winds and nor'easters?

Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking panel system is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Sea Cliff's typical gusts reach 135 km/h, falling within this warranty envelope. The interlocking edges distribute wind load across all four directions of each panel rather than concentrating stress on fasteners, which is why this design outperforms standing-seam roofs in high-wind coastal areas. Nor'easters and seasonal gales are no different from the wind speeds the system is certified to handle.

Do I need to reinforce my home's frame for a metal roof?

No structural reinforcement is needed. The Tile profile, which replicates the heaviest traditional option, installs at only 0.59 lb/sq ft—about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Even homes with aging frames or minimal roof structure can support Interlock panels. This light weight also means the roof can typically install directly over your existing asphalt shingles, avoiding costly tear-off, disposal, and labor. In a climate with 63 cm annual snow and 66 freeze-thaw days, a lightweight system that requires no structural modification is a practical advantage for older Sea Cliff homes.

Will an aluminum roof reduce my cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient colors reflect solar heat rather than absorb it, lowering cooling loads during summer. Aged Copper Penny achieves initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council. While Sea Cliff averages 3115 sunshine hours annually and mild summers, reflective coatings reduce heat transfer into attic spaces, lowering air-conditioning demand. Over a 50-year roof life, cumulative energy savings compound. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, absorb and radiate heat, warming your home and extending cooling seasons.

Is aluminum roofing better for the environment than asphalt shingles?

Yes. Interlock panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end-of-life, while asphalt shingles are single-use and destined for landfills. A typical asphalt roof replaced every 15–20 years generates multiple tear-offs over a century; Interlock's lifetime limited warranty for the original owner and one-time 50-year transfer to the next owner end that cycle entirely. With 1251 mm annual rainfall flushing granules from asphalt into waterways, aluminum avoids that environmental load. Choosing a 50+ year roof dramatically reduces the lifecycle waste of roofing materials in your home.

How often does a metal roof need maintenance in New York?

Routine inspection twice yearly suffices—once after fall leaf season and again after spring snowmelt. Interlock requires no re-coating, re-sealing, or wood treatment like slate, shake, or clay tile demand. The Alunar® 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, eliminates the gradual degradation asphalt shingles experience in Sea Cliff's 3115 annual sunshine hours. Simply clear gutters and debris from valleys. Aluminum does not split, curl, rot, or lose granules—the primary maintenance burdens of competing materials in freeze-thaw and high-rain climates like yours.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Sea Cliff, and how long does it take?

Interlock Roofing of America, the local certified installer, has served the Sea Cliff and Nassau County region since 2014. Installation timeline depends on roof size and existing conditions; most residential projects complete within 2–5 days. The lightweight panels and four-way interlocking design allow faster installation than slate or tile, which require specialized labor and significantly longer timelines. Since panels can install directly over your existing roof, there is no delay for tear-off and disposal. Contact the local team for a site visit and quote tailored to your home's specific needs and roof pitch.
