Interlock® Aluminum Roofing — all-climates performance specs for Adair Village, Oregon
| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |
|---|---|
| Wind resistance: 120+ mph (193+ kph) | Extreme wind, hurricanes, storm uplift: full interlocking attachment helps prevent blow-offs, edge lifting, and panel loss in high-gust events. |
| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |
| Hail resistance: UL 2218 Class 4 | Hail and impact debris: highest impact classification; resists cracking, splitting, and surface loss common with asphalt under hail strikes. |
| Snow & ice performance: interlocking, shedding profile | Heavy snow, freeze-thaw, ice dams: smooth aluminum sheds snow efficiently and the interlocking design helps block water intrusion when melt-refreeze cycles occur. (Final snow-load capacity depends on roof structure and local code.) |
| Corrosion resistance: aluminum (won’t rust) | Salt air, coastal humidity, wet climates: aluminum naturally resists rust and corrosion, reducing long-term failure risk in marine or high-moisture environments. |
| Heat / UV durability: baked-on coating system | High heat, intense sun, thermal cycling: coatings resist UV breakdown and temperature-swing fatigue, slowing fading and surface degradation. |
| Moss / algae resistance: smooth coated surface | Wet shade, organic growth: low-porosity metal surface gives moss/algae less to grip, reducing staining and maintenance. |
| Material: heavy-gauge aluminum roof profiles (Slate / Shake / Shingle / Tile / Standing Seam) | All-season structural stability: lightweight, dent-resistant metal system stays stable through large hot-cold swings and severe weather. |
| Expected lifespan: 50+ years | Long-term durability across climates: avoids re-roof cycles typical of shorter-life materials, even in high-stress environments. |
| Warranty: Lifetime-Limited, non-prorated + 50-year transferable | Lifetime protection + resale value: guarantees long-term material confidence and transfers to future owners. |

What our customers are saying:
I love my Interlock roof! No more climbing up to clean it, and no more gritty debris falling into my garden after a few years. It looks fantastic and performs exactly as it should. The installers were excellent—knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and personable. Ivan is a gem! He handled a small flashing addition efficiently and cleaned the entire roof with a blower in no time. After almost ten years, it’s still the only roof I would choose.
Our 18 year house needed something. A local roofer suggested a$ 5 K, roof treatment with yearly treatment of $1000. And a roof replacement with shingles at 60K. We looked into Interlock. I was impressed with the product and the absence of middlemen between installation. And quality if the product. The investment was significantly higher but we were impressed and felt it would be the best choice. The crew was polite and professional. They cleaned up every day as promised As you can see from the picture the roof is beautiful Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Service: Roof installation
I love my Interlock Metal Roof! It makes my whole house look more beautiful. I was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently the roof was installed. It will be a while before I retire, but when I do I want to spend my time and money on travel and other fun things. I am so glad I never have to worry about re-roofing then or ever again! Not only that, but my roof will be just as beautiful then as it is now. If you are thinking about re-roofing, give Interlock a look.
As a retired civil engineer I bought the roof for seismic purposes. The existing asphalt roof weighed over nine thousand pounds (8 1/2 tons). This one weighs about 800. That's like taking two full sized pickup trucks off the top of your house. The interesting part has been temperature. The aluminum dropped the summer temperatures in the house dramatically. The attic cools very quickly after the sun drops. Yes, even in black. Aluminum, regardless of he color does not store heat. This is not only a beautiful roof but it was very nicely installed by two guys that really cared about what they were doing.
Talk to us about safety measures for us and our pet beforehand, remove all waste afterwards.
Communication. Each time a tentative date was scheduled we would hear nothing more until we reached out to ask about it.
My wife thought they treated her as though she wasn't a decision maker and she didn't like that.
Our issues were more situational. A dumpster was not able to be dropped at our house due to the location so cleanup was a concern and there was a lot of debris around the yard but that could not be helped. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend them.
The discount for plowing pictures to be taken, write a review and putting a sign out was a very short timeframe. I was not unable to take advantage of it. It was only for 3 or 4 days. It seemed like an arbitrary deadline.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Adair Village
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Adair Village, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Adair Village.
Can an aluminum metal roof rust in Adair Village's wet climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, it forms a thin oxide layer that self-heals when scratched—a natural defense that works year-round in the Pacific Northwest's 1166 mm annual rainfall. Interlock panels use 3105-H24 roofing-grade aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) with a Alunar® 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. Steel roofing requires paint maintenance; aluminum does not.
How does a metal roof perform in hail, and can it lower my insurance costs?
Interlock metal roofing holds a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That resilience often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts. Adair Village experiences 37 freeze-thaw days annually, which stresses asphalt shingles; hail combined with those cycles degrades them faster. Metal's non-combustible aluminum (Class A fire rated) and impact resistance make it a lower-risk investment.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to replacing asphalt shingles every 15–20 years?
Asphalt requires replacement cycles; Interlock's Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—the only roof you'll buy. Over 40–50 years, one metal roof replaces 2–3 asphalt roofs. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation. With 3152 annual sunshine hours in Adair Village, energy-efficient colors reflect heat and lower summer cooling costs, offsetting the initial premium.
Will a metal roof hold up to Oregon windstorms?
Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to spec. Adair Village experiences typical daily-max winds of 16 km/h with gusts reaching 105 km/h—well within the roof's design envelope. The interlocking system distributes uplift forces across the entire roof plane, unlike fastened shingles that can lift at edges during pressure spikes.
Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof in Adair Village?
No. Interlock's aluminum profiles are extraordinarily light—the Cedar Shingle installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft and the Mediterranean Tile at 0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Adair Village receives about 19 cm of snow annually; that light weight means no structural engineering or costly framing upgrades. Interlock installs directly over most existing roofs, saving removal costs and construction time.
How does a metal roof handle Adair Village's 1166 mm of annual rain?
Four-way interlocking aluminum panels overlap and seal as water runs downslope, shedding rainfall that asphalt absorbs. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation (reissued 2025) certifies Interlock for IBC/IRC code compliance, including water management. In the Pacific Northwest's wet climate, metal roofing's open drainage and non-absorbent surface outperform asphalt—which degrades faster in freeze-thaw cycles that occur about 37 days per year here.
Will an energy-efficiency metal roof reduce my cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient Interlock colors achieve solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84, rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council. They reflect heat that asphalt absorbs, lowering roof surface temperature and reducing air-conditioning load. With 3152 sunshine hours annually in Adair Village, light-colored profiles reduce peak cooling demand significantly more than dark asphalt.
What maintenance does an Interlock metal roof need in Oregon?
Minimal. Aluminum does not rot, split, or curl like asphalt or wood shakes. Leaves and debris clear easily from smooth or textured surfaces. The non-absorbent, non-combustible material eliminates moss and lichen growth that thrives in wet climates. CALGreen verification confirms Interlock's reduced maintenance profile. Asphalt requires periodic coating, wood needs resealing, and clay tile develops cracks; aluminum's self-healing oxide layer and 30-year Alunar® finish warrant virtually no homeowner intervention.
Is a metal roof better for the environment than asphalt shingles?
Aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable. Interlock metal roofing ends the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle—every time an asphalt roof reaches end-of-life, tons of waste leave your property for a landfill. A single metal roof, lasting 50+ years, never requires removal or replacement. Adair Village's 1166 mm annual rainfall and freeze-thaw pattern (37 days per year) accelerates asphalt breakdown and landfill contributions. Switching to recyclable aluminum stops that cycle permanently.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Adair Village?
