Review: April 24, 2026 Completion: November 9, 2017

I love my Interlock roof! No more climbing up to clean it, and no more gritty debris falling into my garden after a few years. It looks fantastic and performs exactly as it should. The installers were excellent—knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and personable. Ivan is a gem! He handled a small flashing addition efficiently and cleaned the entire roof with a blower in no time. After almost ten years, it’s still the only roof I would choose.

Review: August 1, 2023 Completion: July 31, 2023

Our 18 year house needed something. A local roofer suggested a$ 5 K, roof treatment with yearly treatment of $1000. And a roof replacement with shingles at 60K. We looked into Interlock. I was impressed with the product and the absence of middlemen between installation. And quality if the product. The investment was significantly higher but we were impressed and felt it would be the best choice. The crew was polite and professional. They cleaned up every day as promised As you can see from the picture the roof is beautiful Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Service: Roof installation

I love my Interlock Metal Roof! It makes my whole house look more beautiful. I was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently the roof was installed. It will be a while before I retire, but when I do I want to spend my time and money on travel and other fun things. I am so glad I never have to worry about re-roofing then or ever again! Not only that, but my roof will be just as beautiful then as it is now. If you are thinking about re-roofing, give Interlock a look.

Review: July 15, 2019 Completion: September 9, 2017

As a retired civil engineer I bought the roof for seismic purposes. The existing asphalt roof weighed over nine thousand pounds (8 1/2 tons). This one weighs about 800. That's like taking two full sized pickup trucks off the top of your house. The interesting part has been temperature. The aluminum dropped the summer temperatures in the house dramatically. The attic cools very quickly after the sun drops. Yes, even in black. Aluminum, regardless of he color does not store heat. This is not only a beautiful roof but it was very nicely installed by two guys that really cared about what they were doing.

Review: November 24, 2022 Completion: November 23, 2022

From the ordering process that began in January to the actual installation of the roof in November, the communication could have been better. The charcoal gray "slate" roof was installed a few days ago, and we just had a tremendous rain storm; the roof did amazing. The workers who showed up were fast and professional and finished the job in 3 days. After they were done, they did a thorough site cleaning. The roof was definitely more costly than a conventional shingle roof and took some extra effort and delay to get scheduled, but we believe it was well worth it.

The product and service are ABSOLUTELY worth the investment. We LOVE our new roof and give Interlocking Roof our highest recommendation. Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Wren

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Wren, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Wren.

Does metal roofing handle Oregon's snow and ice buildup?

Yes—Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow and ice reliably even in Wren's climate, which averages about 46 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 31 freeze-thaw cycles per year. The smooth, slippery surface prevents ice dam formation better than asphalt, and optional snow guards can be installed to control shedding. At weights between 0.41 and 0.59 lb/sq ft, aluminum roofing handles seasonal loading without structural stress, unlike heavy slate or tile that would require costly reinforcement.

Will my metal roof withstand Wren's wind gusts?

The four-way interlocking panel system is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, well above Wren's typical gust speeds of about 115 km/h (71 mph). The interlocking seams create a unified structure that distributes wind load evenly across the roof deck. With ESR-1790 code compliance and field-proven performance in coastal and high-wind regions, Interlock panels meet or exceed local building standards—and your homeowner's policy may recognize that durability in premium calculations.

Can aluminum roofing rust in Oregon's wet climate?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; instead, it develops a self-healing oxide layer that protects the metal beneath. With Wren receiving about 1517 mm of annual rainfall, corrosion resistance matters—and Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum, combined with a Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating applied to both sides, resists salt air, moisture, and weathering. The coating itself carries a 30-year fade and chalk warranty, keeping the roof's integrity intact through decades of Benton County weather.

How long will a metal roof last, and what does the warranty cover?

Interlock roofs are backed by The Guardian—a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and impact resistance loss. The warranty transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, adding long-term value at resale. Built from aluminum manufactured since 1998 and installed on homes from coastal salt-air regions to Antarctic research stations, these roofs routinely outlast the homes beneath them—making this genuinely the last roof you'll buy.

How does metal roofing perform in hail, and can it lower insurance costs?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. In regions where hail is a recognized risk, insurers often reward metal roofing with premium reductions because the material resists damage that would perforate or fracture asphalt or wood shakes. Contact your carrier to confirm your local discount eligibility; many recognize aluminum's durability advantage and factor it into quotes.

Does my house need structural reinforcement for a metal roof?

No. Interlock's aluminum panels weigh just 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft—about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so no structural reinforcement is necessary. The roof can install directly over most existing roofing, eliminating costly tear-off labor and disposing of old asphalt in landfills. This featherweight advantage means faster installation, lower labor costs, and zero risk of overloading your home's framing, making metal roofing accessible to nearly every homeowner in Wren without engineering upgrades.

Will a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient Interlock colors achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, reflecting the heat that asphalt absorbs. During Wren's 3029 annual sunshine hours, these reflective coatings reduce the amount of solar energy entering the attic, lowering air-conditioning demand and utility bills. Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms this performance, and the benefit compounds over decades—a long-term operating cost reduction alongside The Guardian's lifetime warranty.

How much maintenance does a metal roof require compared to asphalt or wood?

Aluminum requires minimal maintenance—no annual shingle replacement, no wood rot or insect damage, no moss growth treatments. Unlike asphalt shingles that degrade under UV exposure and wood shakes susceptible to Wren's freeze-thaw cycles, Interlock's sealed aluminum and 30-year fluorocarbon coating remain intact season after season. Occasional gutter cleaning and inspection suffice; no re-coating, re-staining, or preventive replacement cycles. This CALGreen-verified maintenance profile saves time and money over the roof's life.

Is metal roofing better for the environment than asphalt shingles?

Approximately 95% recyclable—aluminum roofing breaks the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle that burdens every shingle replacement. When Interlock's lifespan finally ends (decades from now), the aluminum has genuine scrap value and enters the recycling stream instead of a landfill. Manufactured in Delta, BC since 1998 with no toxic disposal costs, aluminum roofing aligns with Oregon's sustainability goals and reduces your home's long-term environmental footprint while delivering durability that means fewer replacements across generations.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Wren?
