Review: April 24, 2026 Completion: November 9, 2017

I love my Interlock roof! No more climbing up to clean it, and no more gritty debris falling into my garden after a few years. It looks fantastic and performs exactly as it should. The installers were excellent—knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and personable. Ivan is a gem! He handled a small flashing addition efficiently and cleaned the entire roof with a blower in no time. After almost ten years, it’s still the only roof I would choose.

Review: August 1, 2023 Completion: July 31, 2023

Our 18 year house needed something. A local roofer suggested a$ 5 K, roof treatment with yearly treatment of $1000. And a roof replacement with shingles at 60K. We looked into Interlock. I was impressed with the product and the absence of middlemen between installation. And quality if the product. The investment was significantly higher but we were impressed and felt it would be the best choice. The crew was polite and professional. They cleaned up every day as promised As you can see from the picture the roof is beautiful Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Service: Roof installation

Review: March 15, 2021 Completion: September 26, 2018

I love my Interlock Metal Roof! It makes my whole house look more beautiful. I was so impressed by how quickly and efficiently the roof was installed. It will be a while before I retire, but when I do I want to spend my time and money on travel and other fun things. I am so glad I never have to worry about re-roofing then or ever again! Not only that, but my roof will be just as beautiful then as it is now. If you are thinking about re-roofing, give Interlock a look.

Review: July 15, 2019 Completion: September 9, 2017

As a retired civil engineer I bought the roof for seismic purposes. The existing asphalt roof weighed over nine thousand pounds (8 1/2 tons). This one weighs about 800. That's like taking two full sized pickup trucks off the top of your house. The interesting part has been temperature. The aluminum dropped the summer temperatures in the house dramatically. The attic cools very quickly after the sun drops. Yes, even in black. Aluminum, regardless of he color does not store heat. This is not only a beautiful roof but it was very nicely installed by two guys that really cared about what they were doing.

My wife thought they treated her as though she wasn't a decision maker and she didn't like that.

Review: September 6, 2018 Completion: August 25, 2018

Our issues were more situational. A dumpster was not able to be dropped at our house due to the location so cleanup was a concern and there was a lot of debris around the yard but that could not be helped. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend them.

The discount for plowing pictures to be taken, write a review and putting a sign out was a very short timeframe. I was not unable to take advantage of it. It was only for 3 or 4 days. It seemed like an arbitrary deadline.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Denzer

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Denzer, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Denzer.

How does a metal roof handle the snow load we get here in Benton County?

Interlock panels shed snow efficiently because aluminum is non-porous and naturally slippery, reducing ice dam buildup during Denzer's roughly 120 freeze-thaw cycles per year. The four-way interlocking system stays watertight even when snow melts and refreezes. At roughly 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile, the panels weigh about 96% less than concrete or clay tile, so your existing structure handles the installation without reinforcement. With about 116 cm of snow annually here, that light weight means no added structural stress even in heavy snow years.

Will a metal roof crack or warp with Denzer's freeze-thaw cycles?

No. Aluminum expands and contracts smoothly, and the material itself never absorbs water, so freeze-thaw damage that splits wood shingles or cracks asphalt simply does not occur. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating is rated to withstand repeated thermal cycling without chalking or fading over 30 years. With about 120 freeze-thaw days annually and roughly 214 mm of rainfall, your metal roof sheds water instantly and moves freely with temperature swings—asphalt and wood cannot do either without degrading.

Can a metal roof stand up to the wind gusts we get here?

Yes. The four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, which far exceeds Denzer's typical gusts. Local winds average around 27 km/h with occasional gusts near 100 km/h, well within the roof's design envelope. The panels lock together tightly—water and wind cannot work their way under—and aluminum's rigidity means the roof stays flat and secure through storm season. That ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation confirms the system meets current building codes for wind uplift.

Do metal roofs rust in rainy climates like ours?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. When exposed to air, aluminum naturally forms a protective oxide layer that self-heals when scratched—this happens automatically and requires no maintenance. That's why Interlock panels have been installed from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations since 1998. In Denzer's climate with roughly 214 mm of annual rainfall, steel roofing would corrode over time; aluminum simply does not. The Alunar coating adds 30 years of fade and chalk resistance on top of that inherent protection.

What's the hail rating on these panels, and does it matter for insurance?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4, the highest impact rating available—the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That's the same standard underwriters use when they offer discounts for impact-resistant roofing. Class 4 impact resistance in Denzer's climate means your roof survives severe spring storms without punctures. Many insurers recognize this rating and will reduce premiums. It's worth asking your agent about credits when you install—the upfront cost often shrinks because impact-resistant roofing is a direct line item on loss prevention.

Will a metal roof help lower cooling costs in the summer?

Absolutely. Interlock's energy-efficient colors have thermal emissivity of 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55, meaning they reflect heat that asphalt absorbs and radiates into your home. Denzer averages about 3,561 sunshine hours per year—plenty of opportunity for that reflectance to work. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating confirms the difference: reflective coatings cool your attic in summer while darker asphalt heats it. Over a 30-year roof life, that energy savings compounds significantly, especially on homes with air conditioning.

How long does an Interlock metal roof actually last, and what's the warranty?

The Guardian warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's transferable once, giving the next owner 50 years from completion. In practice, the all-aluminum construction means your roof outlasts asphalt by decades; there's no wood to rot, no granules to shed. With proper installation and typical Denzer weather—about 116 cm of snow, roughly 214 mm rain, and standard freeze-thaw cycling—you're looking at a genuine last roof.

Is a metal roof worth the cost compared to asphalt shingles?

Yes, when you compare the full lifecycle. Asphalt lasts 15–20 years in Denzer's climate and demands tear-offs, disposal, and reinstalls every 15–20 years. Interlock lasts 50+ years under warranty, with no tear-off cycle. The material is ~95% recyclable when it finally does retire. Factor in energy savings from reflective coatings, no maintenance expenses, potential insurance discounts for Class 4 hail, and transferable resale value—the math favors metal. Current promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. The break-even is typically 10–15 years, then pure savings.

Can I install a metal roof over my existing asphalt shingles?

Yes, in most cases. The Interlock Tile profile weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so no structural reinforcement is needed. You can install directly over your existing roof, saving the cost and mess of tear-off. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation confirms installation procedures for both new deck and retrofit applications. Denzer's typical rainfall of about 214 mm annually and roughly 116 cm of snow won't stress the lighter system. Your contractor will inspect your existing structure, but in most homes here, the retrofit path saves time and money while keeping waste out of the landfill.
