What our customers are saying:
Ivan has worked on our roof multiple times. He is always responsive, communicative, efficient, and effective. We can recommend him and Interlock Roofing
Thank you Interlock Roofing for providing such a quality product and installation from which we will receive years of permanent protection from the elements. The job went smoothly. The crew showed up early and stayed late, answered all our questions, leaving a clean job site at the end of each day. The attention to detail was impressive. The house was a complex roof with skylights, vents and a masonry chimney. The quality and design of all the types of flashing’s, ridge vent, and fasteners were quite impressive and were expertly installed. The hardworking crew was attentive and stayed late when a rainstorm was expected to ensure we were watertight. This diligent crew was the best representative Interlock can have. From the initial contact at the Home and Garden Show in Portland to the visit from the Interlock Representatives to explain the product and show us the options, the experience was enjoyable and fun. One does not expect such friendliness when dealing with a larger company. We look forward to many years under our new roof.
Over eight years ago, I needed a new roof on my over 100 year old house and after significant research, decided to use Interlock Roofing. The installers arrived on time, were professional and completed the job as expected.A few months ago, my shop was in need of a new roof and I needed to do no research- I called Interlock, without hesitation. Working with Ross and Mike was very easy. I expected to have the work started sometime in the summer. But then I received a call that there was an unexpected break and that Interlock could start that day. I readily agreed, and the installers arrived by mid-morning. Once again the installers were polite, professional and were finished quickly. They cleaned up the site well. I am as happy today as I was years ago with Interlock. I have since added another project and am eagerly awaiting Interlock to complete it. I have no doubt that I will receive the same great product and professional installation. We recently had our wood shake roof replaced with an Interlock metal roof that resembles the old wood shake roof. It looks fabulous and Victor and crew did a very professional job and removed all debris from the the old roof. We live among a lot of fir trees and with the ever present fire danger it is good to know we have the assurance that our roof is protected. We recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone looking at metal roofing and would be happy to show off our roof to anyone interested. Positive, Quality, Professionalism, Value, Services: Roof installation
Pine needles and more pine needles along with fir boughs each season covers our roof all throughout the year. We are consistently getting on the roof to blow off the needles and clean off the fir boughs. Though the job of cleaning off the roof does not take more than 3 – 4 hours, we were looking for a better way and an easier solution to our situation. Our neighbor was in the process of getting a new roof put on; it was Interlock Roofing Systems. We asked many questions regarding their roof and the options available. Their finished roof looked great. The metal roof in the slate shingles option looked really good. They were very pleased with their roof, the installers, and the installation process. Our sales representatives, Mike and Ross, explained the advantages of a metal roof, the benefits of Interlock Roofing and the installation process, answered all our questions and assured us that we’d be very pleased purchasing an Interlock Roof. Peter and Victor, our installers were personable, explaining their process. We had a couple of snow and ice days prior to our scheduled date, so they had to work hard to clean off and prepare the roof. They worked very diligently in the cold and some days in the heavy rain. Our roof took a few extra days waiting for additional materials to arrive. When it was all done, February 1, 2017, our Interlock Slate shingle roof looked great. We are pleased and are looking forward to years of our beautiful featured addition to our home.
We first learned about Interlock Roofing when researching roofing options on the internet. We became interested in a metal roof due to our constant problems with moss and fir needles. We went to the September 2015 Home and Garden Show to learn more. Interlock had a great display at the show, and the representative cleared up some questions we had. We scheduled an appointment, and within a week Ross and Mike came out and explained their product to us. They brought samples of the different styles and " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">colors of their materials and thoroughly explained how their system worked. They even brought a collection of pictures from previous houses so we could decide the best look for our house. As they were measuring the roof, we watched a video on their company and all of the materials and guarantees they provide. We were impressed by their knowledge and experience. The installation only took about three days. Vladimir and Greg, our installers, were very friendly and worked diligently. They took the time to explain what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. Their craftsmanship really shows on the finished roof! We were extremely impressed when they were waiting on one piece of flashing to be in stock and Vladimir drove all the way from " title="Seattle" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Seattle to install the finishing piece. We can tell they take pride in the work. We ended up with a beautiful roof and several people have stopped to ask about our roof. We had received many compliments on how the style complements our home. Now that we have lived with it for a few months, we are not disappointed with our choice. It looks great, there is no moss, and the fir needles rinse off with the rain. It is quiet even in the worst rain storm and best of all, it will be the last roof that this house will ever need. We will likely save energy costs this summer and will greatly reduce, or eliminate altogether, ever having to go on the roof again. We highly recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone looking for a forever roof that looks great. All of the people that we dealt with were very knowledgeable and informative. They were easy to talk to and there was never a high-pressure sales pitch. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or talk to anyone about our very good experience.
Our home was recently the lucky recipient of a new aluminum shingle roof by Interlock. We are sure that if our house could, it would be singing! So, my husband I and will gladly speak for it. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of our new roof material and installation. From the first visit with the sales team (thank you Mike and Ross) we were impressed with the professional and trustworthy service of Interlock representatives. The whole job took place right on schedule with lots of communication all along the way. The installation crew (thank you Peter!) was hard working, intent on making sure every detail was done to perfection, considerate of our landscaping and a pleasure to have on our property. The finished product: WOW! We love it! This new Interlock roof not only makes our farmhouse and garage look fabulous, in addition, we are so happy to know we will never scrape moss again, not to mention that we will probably never even replace our roof again! The color and style of the shingles are so pretty and we know our home is protected from the elements like never before. We won’t hesitate to recommend Interlock Roofing whenever we have an opportunity. This company has developed a product that really measures up to everything it advertises. Thank you, everyone at Interlock. We loved doing business with you!
We would like to thank Interlock Roofing for the excellent product and service we received when replacing our roof. We began work on our one-hundred-year-old house many years ago and thought that we had always hired competent contractors to complete work that we did not do ourselves. However, when replacing the original tongue and groove eaves last summer, we discovered that our seventeen-year-old composition roof was failing due to poor installation. A relatively small project became a much larger undertaking. Since we live in an area where we have a stand of trees behind us and considerable shade, moss has always been a concern. In an effort to avoid any more issues with a roof, I began researching various alternatives. Then I found Interlock Roofing! I learned more about roofing in a short amount of time than I had to talk with several other suppliers. All my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. Communication between the sales department and the installation department was top-notch. The crew arrived when scheduled and completed the job in a timely manner. After we considered the job complete, we discovered a small problem. That, too was addressed quickly and without question. If we were to need another roof, we would hire Interlock Roofing again. But the excellent " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty makes that an improbability. We heartily recommend Interlock Roofing to anyone.
My wife and I chose the cedar shake look. It turned out very nicely. The crew took the time they needed to do the job right and explained the steps they were taking along the way. If you are looking for a high quality, long lasting, product that will impress, look no further. Services: Roof installation
Company was very attentive to keep us updated on timing for installation. Weather was not cooperating and installation start was much longer than any of us anticipated but we received calls regularly letting us know they hadn't forgotten us. Once the installation was started it was finished in record time. Installers did a great job. We love our roof. It looks great.
To the Interlock Corporation, What can you say about a home improvement experience such as replacing the roof on your house? From the first contact to the completion of the project, it was the most enjoyable experience a person can have when dealing with a large commercial company. From the initial non-high pressure, very informative sales contact from a Home and Garden show to the friendly, efficient and respectful installers to the final personal contact to ensure we were satisfied with the results and that we were enjoying our new roof. The application and quality of the materials are beyond expectations. We have been enjoying the roof through the winter winds and rain, and hail of the Pacific Northwest. Everyone asks if it is noisy and tinny when it rains. We reply, “of course not! “ It is even quieter than the comp roof we just replaced. We ordered the deep charcoal grey slate. After the rain, while still wet, the roof shines and glistens like real slate. It is a welcoming sight compared to the dull comp roofs of our neighbors. Shortly after installation, there was a wedding up the road from us. We heard from a friend who attended that our roof was the " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">hot topic of discussion since everyone had to drive by our house to reach the wedding. We get many compliments from people who drive by. The installers, while being friendly, are very proud of their workmanship, and we liked the fact that they kept referring to the roof as “their roof”. Hard-working and diligent in the task, they were attentive to every detail. The best onsite reps Interlock could ever have. They were proud of the many years of service working for the company, and that fact, too, lends itself to efficient communication and workflow. The installation happened during the summer during some of the hottest days on record. The installers measured their days, coming early, resting during the hottest times and returning during the coolness of the evenings, doing what needed to be done to get the job done. While more expensive than traditional comp roofs up front, the fact that we never have to replace the roof during our lifetime is well worth it. This house is our forever house, and the best part of our new roof is the fact that my husband will never have to climb up a ladder to clean off the moss that grows so well here in the wet but green northwest. After much investigation and consideration of other metal roofing products on the market, we highly recommend a metal roof, specifically one by Interlock.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Stafford
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Stafford, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Stafford.
How does a metal roof handle Stafford's snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice far more effectively than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface resists ice adhesion and allows snow to slide cleanly. With about 48 cm of snow annually and 36 freeze-thaw cycles per year in Stafford, this matters: your roof won't trap moisture that leads to rot or ice dams. The four-way interlocking panels are warranted to 120 mph wind, so they stay locked even when snow loads shift. You can add snow guards if you want to control where it slides—something asphalt can't really do well because ice bonds to its grainy surface.
Will a metal roof leak with Stafford's heavy rainfall?
No—Stafford gets about 1468 mm of rain yearly, and metal roofs shed it faster than any other material. Water can't pool on the interlocked panels, and the four-way locking system closes gaps that could trap moisture. Unlike asphalt, which degrades from constant wetness, aluminum's oxide layer actually self-heals when scratched by weather debris. When installed over a solid deck and ICC-ES-compliant underlayment (per ESR-1790), the roof acts as a complete shed—water flows off before it can find its way under.
Why choose aluminum over steel roofing in a wet Oregon climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; it forms a transparent oxide layer that self-heals when the surface is scratched. Add Stafford's 1468 mm of annual rainfall and occasional salty air intrusion from the coast, and this becomes critical. Steel roofs oxidize in wet climates and require paint maintenance forever. Interlock panels are coated with Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides (the underside gets extra protection), warranted 30 years against chalking and fading per ASTM standards. This means zero rust risk over your roof's lifetime—you're buying durability, not ongoing anxiety.
Can a metal roof stand up to Stafford's wind gusts?
Absolutely. Stafford experiences typical gusts around 116 km/h, and the Interlock system is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking panels lock together like a chain mail, so wind pressure can't lift or separate them the way it can with shingles nailed to a substrate. You get a unified roof shell, not 10,000 individual pieces held by fasteners that eventually loosen. For a region where sudden gusts are routine, this mechanical interlock is the difference between staying put and needing repairs.
Do I need to reinforce my house for a metal roof?
No structural reinforcement is needed because Interlock panels are extraordinarily light—the Slate installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft and the Mediterranean Tile at 0.59 lb/sq ft, about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Most homes can handle asphalt shingles (around 3-4 lb/sq ft), so metal is actually lighter than what you might already have. This also means you can install over your existing roof in many cases, avoiding a costly tear-off. In Stafford's freeze-thaw environment (36 days per year), this lightweight system also reduces structural stress from repeated expansion and contraction.
What hail protection does a metal roof offer?
Interlock panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest available, and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. While large hail is uncommon in Stafford's 10-year climate record, the Class 4 rating means your roof is armor against the extreme weather that does occur. Many homeowners with metal roofs qualify for insurance discounts because insurers recognize the durability—ask your agent what you might save. You'll get written proof of the UL rating when your roof is installed, and that documentation helps with any claim.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost in Oregon?
Yes, because you're buying your last roof. A typical asphalt roof lasts 15-20 years in Stafford's wet climate and needs regular maintenance; you'll tear off and replace it twice in 40 years, adding landfill waste and labor costs both times. Interlock's Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited (non-prorated for the original owner) and includes a one-time transfer to the next owner for 50 years—meaning zero roof replacement during a typical ownership or resale cycle. Factor in no maintenance, energy savings from reflective energy-efficiency coatings, and possible insurance discounts, and the per-year cost drops below asphalt. Right now, financing is available with no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation.
Will a metal roof keep my house cooler in summer?
energy-efficient colors reflect heat rather than absorb it—Aged Copper Penny achieves up to 0.55 initial solar reflectance and 0.84 thermal emissivity. Asphalt shingles absorb heat and re-radiate it into your attic, raising cooling costs. Even in a cool climate like Stafford (mean 11.5°C, 2957 sunshine hours per year), summer sun still adds to cooling demand. The reflective coating means less heat penetration and a smaller AC load on hot days. Over 40+ years, the cumulative energy savings can be substantial, and many homeowners see cooling costs drop noticeably year-round.
What's the warranty on a metal roof and how long does it really last?
The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited (non-prorated material coverage for the original owner) and is one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years from completion—meaning two owners could be covered for the better part of a century. It covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. The Alunar coating is separately warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. Aluminum naturally lasts 40-70+ years in field conditions (Interlock has been manufacturing since 1998 and installed panels on everything from coastal homes to Antarctic research stations). For a Stafford home, this means the roof will likely outlast your ownership, which is why it's truly your last roof.
Is a metal roof fire-safe for Oregon?
Yes. Interlock aluminum panels are non-combustible and available in Class A fire classification, the highest rating. Aluminum doesn't burn, won't ignite from flying embers, and won't contribute to fire spread—critical in Oregon where wildfire risk is a real concern. The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 confirms code compliance for both IBC and IRC standards (reissued 2025). Unlike asphalt shingles, which can ignite and actually accelerate a fire's movement across a roof, metal eliminates that fuel source entirely. If you're in a fire-prone zone or simply want maximum safety, Class A certification provides peace of mind and may help with insurance ratings.
