What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Little Skookum Inlet
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Little Skookum Inlet, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Little Skookum Inlet.
Why won't my metal roof rust in Little Skookum Inlet's wet climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron — the metal that corrodes. Instead, aluminum forms a self-healing oxide layer that protects it, even when scratched. This matters in your region because the combination of 1370 mm of annual rain and coastal air exposure would devastate steel or iron roofing. Interlock panels use roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) with a Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish applied to both sides, giving you 30 years of warranted protection against corrosion in salt-air and high-moisture environments. Steel roofs require constant maintenance; aluminum simply doesn't.
How does a metal roof handle snow and ice in Mason County winters?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice far better than asphalt because their smooth, hard surface prevents ice dam formation that traps meltwater. With about 40 cm of snow per year and roughly 34 freeze-thaw days, your region sees the exact conditions that create ice dams on conventional roofs. The four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind gusts up to 120 mph, so snow loads and seasonal wind don't compromise the seal. Snow guards are available if you prefer controlled shedding. The result: faster melting, fewer backed-up gutters, and no ice dam repairs.
Will a metal roof keep my home dry with 1370 mm of annual rain?
Yes. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels create overlapping seams that direct water downward and outward, not inward. With your area averaging 1370 mm of rainfall per year, leak resistance is critical. Interlock's ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 certifies the system for residential and commercial use under IBC/IRC code. When installed to specification over a solid deck with underlayment, the roof functions identically to asphalt in terms of water management — but the aluminum panels will never rot, warp, or lose their seal the way organic materials do over decades. Installation on existing roofs is common and adds no extra protection steps.
Do I need to reinforce my roof framing for a metal roof?
No. The Interlock Mediterranean Tile profile, for example, weighs just 0.59 lb/sq ft — about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. This lightweight design means most existing roof structures support Interlock without modification, saving thousands in reinforcement costs. Compare this to the cumulative weight of multiple asphalt shingle reroof cycles over 50 years. Your home's framing can handle the material with ease. The light weight also means faster installation and less structural stress over the roof's lifetime, reducing the risk of sagging or failure that heavier materials introduce.
Can a metal roof survive Little Skookum Inlet's wind and gusts?
Yes. Your area experiences typical daily winds around 16 km/h with gusts reaching 99 km/h. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist sustained wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification — well above local extremes. The interlocking design creates continuous mechanical bonds that distribute wind load across the entire roof plane rather than relying on nails or adhesive. The warranty even covers wind-related damage within this limit. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, lose granules and lift at 60–80 mph, leaving seams exposed.
Will an Interlock metal roof lower my heating and cooling costs?
energy-efficient Interlock colors with thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 reflect heat rather than absorb it. In a climate averaging 2881 annual sunshine hours, this reflectance reduces cooling demand, which offsets the cost of heating in your mild 10.8°C annual mean. Cool Roof Rating Council certification means the data is verified. Over a 50-year lifespan, the energy savings compound. Asphalt roofs absorb solar heat, forcing air conditioning to work harder in summer and requiring earlier replacement in sunny regions.
What warranty comes with Interlock and how long will the roof last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and impact resistance loss. It's transferable once to the next owner for 50 years from completion. This structure reflects the product's durability: aluminum does not rot or split, and the Alunar finish is warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214 tested). Real-world installations span coastal salt-air homes to Antarctica since 1998, proving the material lasts decades without degradation. No asphalt roof offers this coverage or lifespan.
Is a metal roof fire-safe for residential areas?
Yes. Interlock aluminum roofing is non-combustible and carries a Class A fire classification (the highest available), certified under ICC-ES evaluation ESR-1790. Aluminum cannot ignite, and its Alunar fluorocarbon finish contains no flammable binders. This matters especially in regions with wildfire risk or dense neighborhoods where flying embers pose a hazard. The non-combustible construction also qualifies the roof under CALGreen sustainability standards. Asphalt shingles are Class A when tested on a wood deck, but the shingles themselves are petroleum-based and contribute fuel in extreme fire scenarios.
Is a metal roof worth the higher upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?
Metal roofing costs more upfront than asphalt, but it's the last roof you'll buy. A typical asphalt roof lasts 15–20 years and requires tearoff, disposal, and reinstallation — an expensive cycle repeated three or more times in 60 years. Interlock, with its lifetime warranty and real-world durability since 1998, requires no tearoff or replacement. You avoid landfill disposal costs, repeated labor, and the compounding inflation of multiple reroof projects. Over 50 years, the total cost of ownership (material, labor, removal, replacement, energy) favors metal decisively. Current financing offers no payments or interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation — reducing the initial gap further.
Who installs Interlock roofs in Little Skookum Inlet and Mason County?
Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served the region since 1997 — 26 years of local experience with the product in Pacific Northwest conditions. They understand Mason County's 1370 mm annual rainfall, 40 cm of snow, and coastal moisture challenges firsthand. The installer is familiar with the specific roofing profiles available (Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, Mediterranean Tile), local permitting, and installation over existing roofs. Working with a regional specialist ensures proper specification, professional installation to warranty standard, and local accountability. Current promotions — no payments/interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off — are available through this established local presence.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Little Skookum Inlet’s climate?
Yes. Little Skookum Inlet averages about 40 cm of snow, 1370 mm of rain, roughly 34 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 99 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
