Interlock roofing is a very professional group of people from the bottom up. They are patient, kind and understanding of all the problems with modern day roofing. Our entire experience working with interlock roofing has been amazing. I like to say they are faster than Amazon, we were told it takes about three days to complete, when the team got here they did a quick look and said we will be done in two days. It was done in two days just as we were told. They replaced all the damaged wafer board from vents not being properly installed. Fixed and properly installed all of our ventilation, which was just hanging in the crawl space before they replaced it. They cleaned up around the house at the end of each day and cleaned out the gutters. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a long lasting metal roof and are tiered of trying to get a shingle roof contractor to even come out because shingles are so horrible they are backed up for over a year. Just think of it like this. shingle roofs have to be redone about every fifteen years so the contractors are always backed up and wouldn't give us the time of day. With interlock roofing it's one and done and gives them more time to move on and invest in your needs. They really took the time to listen and care about our situation and did everything they could to help us achieve a beautiful long lasting metal roof that we wanted.

Review: October 20, 2016 Completion: June 11, 2016

I wanted to take a minute to tell you how happy we are with our new Interlock Roof. From working with you, in the beginning, the installation and not having to worry about a leaky roof ever again makes this one of the best investments we have made. We especially enjoyed working with your people. Angela in your office was such a pleasure to talk with, keeping us up to date on when we could expect the installation to begin. The installation crew (Peter, Art, and Victor) were very professional and so good about keeping the work area clean and worked around a barbecue we had planned with our neighbors. One of our initial concerns with a metal roof was what the noise level would be. Well, after all the rain that we have had in Oregon, we have to say that we think it is quieter than our old roof. Also, it is much more attractive than an asphalt roof. My wife and I are happy to have worked with you and will highly recommend you to anyone that needs to have a new roof on their home.

Review: August 22, 2018 Completion: June 29, 2018

My wife and I needed a new roof and we wanted something that would last and look great. We found an Interlock booth at our local home improvement show and saw a great product that met all our requirements. Even though the Interlock roof is expensive, I knew it would last longer than any number of regular roofs. The installers were a great bunch of guys and they did a professional installation. The roof looks beautiful, way better than an asphalt roof. Thanks, Interlock.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Heceta Beach

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Heceta Beach, Oregon. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Heceta Beach.

Why won't my metal roof rust in Heceta Beach's salt air and wet climate?

Interlock roofing uses 3105-H24 aluminum alloy, which contains no iron and therefore cannot rust—only aluminum oxidizes, forming a self-healing oxide layer that protects the metal beneath. With Heceta Beach averaging 1893 mm of annual rainfall and coastal moisture exposure, this non-corrosive core is the key advantage over steel roofing. The two-sided Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating adds a 30-year warranty against chalking and fading, giving your roof a dual defense system designed specifically for Oregon's damp environment.

How does a metal roof handle Heceta Beach's winter snow and ice buildup?

Heceta Beach receives about 44 cm of snow annually and sees roughly 12 freeze-thaw days per year—conditions that expand and contract traditional shingles, leading to curling and leaks. Interlock's aluminum panels are rigid and non-porous, so snow slides cleanly without water absorption, and the four-way interlocking seams prevent ice dams from forcing water under the panels. Snow guards (installed at no extra cost for profiles like Slate or Shake) help manage slides while protecting gutters and walkways below.

Can a metal roof withstand Heceta Beach's coastal wind gusts?

Yes. Heceta Beach experiences typical gusts up to 119 km/h, and Interlock metal roofing is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels lock together and distribute wind load across the entire roof structure, eliminating the weak fastener points where asphalt shingles tear away. This design is why Interlock roofs have been installed successfully from coastal salt-air homes to an Antarctic research station—extremes that Heceta Beach winters simply cannot match.

With 1900 mm of rain per year, will water leak into my home under a metal roof?

Interlock's four-way interlocking seams overlap in all directions, forcing water downward and outward—the same gravity-driven principle that keeps your deck from leaking. Heavy rainfall like Heceta Beach's 1893 mm annual average cannot pool or find a path under the panels because each seam is mechanically locked, not just overlapped. Installation over a solid deck with ICC-ES ESR-1790-compliant underlayment (the code standard for Oregon's IBC/IRC) creates a complete rain-shedding system that outperforms asphalt in high-moisture climates.

Can my existing roof structure handle a metal roof, or do I need reinforcement?

No reinforcement needed. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile, which replicates the appearance of clay or concrete tile, weighs just 0.59 lb/sq ft—approximately 96% lighter than the real thing. Heceta Beach homes with older or modest framing can transition from asphalt (around 2–3 lb/sq ft) to a metal roof that often weighs less than what's already there. This weight advantage means installation happens over your existing roof in most cases, eliminating costly tear-off debris and structural work.

How much upkeep does a metal roof need in Oregon's rainy climate?

Virtually none. Unlike asphalt shingles that deteriorate under Heceta Beach's 1893 mm annual rainfall, or wood shake that rots and splits in 12 freeze-thaw cycles per year, Interlock aluminum is inert—it neither rots, cracks, nor curls. The 30-year Alunar coating warranty means the finish resists the fading and chalking that rain accelerates on other materials. CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance, your roof requires only occasional visual inspection, no replacement of individual panels, and no algae or moss treatment.

Is my metal roof covered if hail hits during Heceta Beach storms?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest hail classification available—and the Guardian warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many insurance carriers recognize this rating and offer premium discounts or improved terms on metal roof policies. Check with your agent about potential savings; combined with a 120 mph wind warranty and non-corrosive aluminum core, the overall risk profile of a metal roof often improves your coverage and lowers annual insurance costs compared to asphalt.

Can reflective metal roofing cut my cooling costs even in Heceta Beach's cool climate?

Yes, especially on clear days—Heceta Beach averages 3083 sunshine hours annually. energy-efficient Interlock colors achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they absorb and radiate less heat than asphalt, which converts solar radiation into indoor heat. On the roughly 150+ clear days per year in Lane County, this reflectance reduces air-conditioning load and moderates attic temperatures. Over 30 years, the cumulative cooling savings add value, particularly if you upgrade HVAC efficiency at the same time.

What exactly does Interlock's lifetime warranty cover, and is it transferable?

The Guardian warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and impact-resistance loss. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion—a claim no asphalt or wood roof can match. In Heceta Beach's demanding climate of 1893 mm rain, 44 cm snow, and 12 annual freeze-thaw cycles, this transferable protection becomes a tangible resale advantage and means you truly install your last roof.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Heceta Beach, and do they offer financing?

Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served the region since 1997 and specializes in all five profiles—Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Mediterranean Tile, and Standing Seam. The current promotion offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation cost. A local installer with 27 years' experience understands Lane County's weather extremes, building codes under the 2025 ICC-ES ESR-1790 standard, and how to maximize your roof's performance in coastal Oregon conditions.
