What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Bay Vista
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Bay Vista, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Bay Vista.
Does metal roofing handle heavy snow and ice like we get in Bay Vista?
Yes — Interlock's four-way interlocking panels and lightweight design actually excel in wet-snow climates. Bay Vista receives about 33 cm of snow annually with roughly 21 freeze-thaw cycles per year, conditions that crack and warp traditional asphalt. Aluminum won't split or curl as snow melts and refreezes. The panels are thin and smooth, so snow doesn't accumulate dangerously; you can add roof snow guards if extra insurance matters to you. The Guardian warranty covers all weather-related failures — splitting, cracking, curling — for the original owner's lifetime.
Will a metal roof leak during Bay Vista's heavy rainfall?
Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels seal tighter than they overlap, making them exceptionally leak-resistant even during Bay Vista's 1280 mm of annual rainfall. The panels sit on a solid deck with underlayment (the industry standard), which adds another moisture barrier. Water is channeled down and out by the panel geometry itself. Installation to ICC-ES ESR-1790 code ensures every seal meets or exceeds building standard. In nearly three decades of installation across coastal and wet regions — from salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations — leaks have never been a systemic issue when properly installed.
How does metal roofing perform in Bay Vista wind storms?
Bay Vista's typical gusts reach 101 km/h, and Interlock metal roofing is warranted to resist sustained winds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The four-way interlocking system locks panels on all four edges, creating a unified structure that doesn't lift or separate in high wind. Because aluminum weighs far less than traditional materials — the Shingle at just 0.41 lb/sq ft — panels stay secure without requiring heavy anchor systems. This lightweight strength is why Interlock has been trusted for decades in coastal and exposed regions where wind is a genuine concern.
Why doesn't aluminum metal roofing rust like steel?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron — iron is what rusts when exposed to moisture. Instead, aluminum develops a thin, invisible oxide layer that naturally forms when the metal contacts air. If that layer is scratched, it self-heals within days. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) comes with a Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish applied to both sides, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. In Bay Vista's 1280 mm annual rainfall, this dual-protection system — oxide layer plus premium coating — means your roof won't corrode, stain, or weaken over decades.
Does metal roofing hold up to hail, and can I get insurance savings?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating — the highest available — and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Aluminum's hardness resists impact damage that would dent or puncture asphalt or wood. Some insurers recognize this durability and offer premium discounts; contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 rating to explore options. Bay Vista experiences occasional severe weather, and having a roof that not only survives hail but comes with impact coverage under The Guardian warranty gives you genuine peace of mind — it's insurance you can see on your home.
Can my house handle a metal roof, or do I need structural work?
Metal roofing's extreme lightness is one of its greatest advantages. The Mediterranean Tile profile, despite looking like heavy clay tile, weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft — roughly 96% lighter than the real thing — so no structural reinforcement is needed. Even older Bay Vista homes can support Interlock panels without costly framing upgrades. In fact, the system installs directly over most existing roofs, saving you tear-off labor and landfill costs. A structural engineer will confirm compatibility for your specific home, but in the vast majority of cases, the only structural change is that your roof becomes dramatically lighter and more durable.
Is metal roofing fire-safe for homes in Washington?
Yes. Interlock offers Class A fire classification (non-combustible aluminum) and holds ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790, which covers IBC/IRC codes and was reissued in 2025. Aluminum itself is non-combustible and won't ignite, spread flame, or release toxic smoke. This is especially valuable in regions where wildfire risk is a concern or where insurers and builders demand fire-rated materials. The Class A rating can also qualify your home for potential insurance discounts. Bay Vista's abundant rainfall and forestry make fire-resistant roofing a smart long-term choice for peace of mind.
Is a metal roof really worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?
When you calculate the total cost of ownership over the roof's life, aluminum comes out ahead. Asphalt shingles last 15-25 years and require replacement, tear-off, and landfill disposal — a cycle that repeats. Interlock comes with a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner and transfers 50 years to the next owner, meaning you install it once. That eliminates future tear-offs, labor, and disposal fees. Bay Vista receives 1280 mm of rain and 33 cm of snow annually — conditions that accelerate asphalt failure. Over 40-50 years, metal roofing typically costs less than two or three asphalt replacements. Right now, Interlock is offering no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation.
Does metal roofing help with cooling costs in warm months?
Interlock's energy-efficient colors reflect heat instead of absorbing it the way asphalt does. Reflectance ranges up to 0.55 (in Aged Copper Penny) with thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning even on Bay Vista's 2931 annual sunshine hours, the roof stays cooler and reduces your air-conditioning load. This is verified by the Cool Roof Rating Council. A cooler attic means your HVAC system works less during warm spells and your home stays more comfortable. Over a 40-year lifespan, the energy savings add up — and unlike asphalt, which darkens over time and loses reflectance, aluminum maintains its performance year after year.
How much maintenance does a metal roof really need?
Very little. Metal roofing requires no coating reapplication, no moss treatment, and no structural repairs like asphalt, wood shakes, or tile demand. Bay Vista's 1280 mm annual rainfall and 21 freeze-thaw days would crack wood shakes and cause asphalt to curl — but aluminum panels are corrosion-proof and dimensionally stable. The Alunar coating is rated for 30 years of color and gloss retention (ASTM D4214/D2244 measured), so your roof stays beautiful without intervention. Occasional inspection and gutter cleaning are all you'll do. This low-maintenance design is why Interlock is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance — your investment keeps working without expensive upkeep.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Bay Vista’s climate?
Yes. Bay Vista averages about 33 cm of snow, 1280 mm of rain, roughly 21 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 101 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
