Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Moriches

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Moriches, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Moriches.

Will a metal roof handle Moriches' freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or warping?

Aluminum expands and contracts with temperature shifts, but its uniform alloy structure (3105-H24 / 3003-H24 per ASTM B209) resists the micro-cracking that plagues asphalt and wood in freeze-thaw conditions. With about 54 freeze-thaw days per year and roughly 58 cm of snow, your roof faces real seasonal stress—but the four-way interlocking panels flex without separating, and the aluminum won't split or curl like asphalt shingles or wood shakes do. The coating remains intact even after thousands of thermal cycles, which is why the Alunar® finish carries a 30-year warranty against cracking and fading.

How does a metal roof perform under Moriches' annual snow load?

Metal roofs are ideal for snow climates because their smooth, slippery surface sheds snow and ice more readily than asphalt—reducing the weight sitting on your home and lowering ice dam risk. Moriches receives roughly 58 cm of snow annually, and that accumulation is exactly where metal roofing excels compared to rougher materials that trap moisture and ice. The four-way interlocking system keeps panels locked tight even when snow shifts and settles, so you won't see the leaks or separations that happen on older roofs. Snow guards are available if you want to manage roof discharge near walkways.

Will heavy rain in Moriches cause leaks under a metal roof?

You live in a region that averages about 1222 mm of rain per year—more than most of the US—so leak resistance matters. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels overlap in four directions, creating a labyrinth that sheds water continuously without pooling. Every panel locks to its neighbors; there are no exposed fasteners to corrode or gaps to widen. Installed over solid deck and underlayment, the roofing performs identically to a shingle roof in heavy downpours: water runs to the gutter, not under the panels. That's why the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hail up to 1.5 inches and backed by ICC-ES ESR-1790 code compliance.

Can a metal roof rust? What about salt air effects near the coast?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes and causes rust stains and structural failure. Instead, aluminum develops an invisible oxide layer that forms naturally and actually heals itself if scratched. That's why Interlock roofs have been installed in coastal salt-air homes since 1998 without rusting. For extra protection in marine environments, both sides of every panel receive the Alunar® 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (not just the top), which is warranted 30 years against chalking and corrosion. Steel roofs, by contrast, require paint maintenance and eventually fail in salt air—aluminum wins the longevity game here.

Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof?

No reinforcement needed. The Slate profile installs at just 0.41 lb per square foot, while the Mediterranean Tile—which replaces real clay or concrete tile—weighs only about 0.59 lb per square foot, roughly 96% lighter than the material it imitates. Most older Moriches homes were never built to support traditional tile, so switching to aluminum tile lets you get that look without expensive structural work. Interlock panels install directly over most existing roofs, which means no tear-off labor, minimal disruption, and one fewer reason to delay your upgrade. The lightweight panels also reduce load on walls and foundations over decades, extending your home's structural life.

How well does metal roofing hold up to coastal wind gusts?

Moriches typical gusts reach about 142 km/h (88 mph), with stronger storms possible—so wind resistance is real. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are mechanically locked on all sides and warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The overlapping design means high winds can't lift panel corners or create gaps; each piece is held by its neighbors. This is especially valuable on Long Island, where nor'easters and coastal storms deliver sustained gusts that loosen asphalt shingles and expose nails. With UL 2218 Class 4 hail rating and the mechanical interlock system, your roof stays secure even when the weather gets rough.

Will a metal roof reduce my homeowner's insurance premiums?

Many insurers offer discounts for Class A fire-rated roofing, and some recognize hail-resistant materials—check with your agent for Moriches-specific rates. Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest available, and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That durability translates to fewer claims over time. Unlike asphalt shingles, which degrade and fail within 15-20 years, an aluminum roof's impact resistance doesn't degrade; it's the same at year 40 as year one. Document the Class 4 rating and impact coverage when you apply for discounts—some carriers recognize the long-term claims reduction and reward it.

Can a metal roof help cool my home in summer?

Yes. energy-efficient Interlock colors have thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny), meaning they bounce heat away instead of absorbing it like dark asphalt. Moriches gets about 3127 sunshine hours per year, so reflective coatings measurably reduce cooling load on hot days. Cool Roof Rating Council ratings confirm the advantage: while asphalt absorbs and re-radiates summer heat into your attic, reflective metal roofing keeps that energy outside. You won't see dramatic savings in New York's milder climate, but lower peak air-conditioning use extends equipment life and cuts summer energy bills. Pair this with the roof's durability, and you get decades of cooling benefits without replacement waste.

What's the maintenance schedule for an Interlock metal roof in Moriches?

Virtually none for the roof itself. Unlike asphalt shingles, which require sealing, caulking, and shingle replacement every 15-20 years, or wood shakes, which need staining and mold treatment after wet winters, aluminum panels don't split, rot, or curl. CALGreen verification confirms reduced maintenance requirements. In Moriches' ~1222 mm rain and 58 cm snow climate, your gutters need clearing twice yearly, and that's it—no roof painting, no patch repairs, no seasonal inspections for damage. The Alunar® coating is permanent; it doesn't chalk or fade (30-year warranty). Over 40+ years, you're not paying contractors to climb your roof, which compounds your savings over asphalt's short life.

What warranty comes with Interlock roofing, and does it transfer if I sell?

The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years of coverage from the completion date. That's a powerful asset when you sell: a buyer sees decades of guaranteed protection, not a 3-5 year roof warranty they hope lasts. For Moriches homeowners considering this their last roof, the lifetime term means zero worry about age-related claims. And because aluminum doesn't rust, rot, or split, you're protected against the very failures that end asphalt and wood roofs. Combined with the 30-year Alunar® coating warranty, you're covered for the lifespan most homeowners keep a house.
