Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Center Moriches

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Center Moriches, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Center Moriches.

Will a metal roof handle New York's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking or warping?

Yes—aluminum's non-porous oxide layer actually strengthens under freeze-thaw stress, unlike asphalt or wood. Center Moriches experiences about 54 freeze-thaw days annually, plus roughly 58 cm of snow and 1222 mm of rain, all of which cycle through your roof. Aluminum simply expands and contracts without absorbing moisture, so there's no ice lens formation or material degradation. The four-way interlocking design also sheds water immediately, preventing the pooling that creates ice dams on traditional roofs.

Do I need to worry about heavy snow loads or ice dams with an aluminum metal roof?

Ice dams won't form on Interlock's aluminum panels because the smooth, interlocked surface sheds meltwater continuously—even during the freeze-thaw cycles common in Center Moriches, which averages about 58 cm of snow annually. The extraordinarily light weight (Shingle at 0.41 lb/sq ft) means snow accumulation won't stress your structure the way it would with slate or tile. If snow guard installation appeals to you, your local Interlock installer can add them, but the physics of the roof itself—combined with Suffolk County's typical winds gusting to 142 km/h—naturally keeps heavy snow from piling up.

How does Interlock's metal roof handle Center Moriches' heavy rainfall without leaking?

The four-way interlocking aluminum panels overlap like shingles with a mechanical seal that channels water downward, never pooling. Center Moriches receives about 1222 mm of rain annually, and that continuous drainage is exactly why the design works—water hits the panel, follows the profile, and exits through the interlocks. Installed over a solid deck with underlayment, the roof becomes a two-layer barrier. Your local Interlock installer, serving the region since 2014, ensures every overlap, flashing, and valley is sealed to specification, treating the rainfall you actually get as the design standard, not an edge case.

Will salt air from the ocean corrode an aluminum metal roof?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the metal forms a self-healing oxide layer that actually strengthens when exposed to air and salt. If the coating or aluminum is scratched, that oxide immediately reforms, protecting the base metal beneath. This matters in Center Moriches because salt air from Atlantic moisture and winter road treatments won't degrade your roof the way it attacks steel or creates rot in wood shake. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating is applied to both sides of every panel for extra protection, and it's warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, so your roof resists the corrosive conditions that shorten the life of asphalt or traditional materials.

What happens if a hailstorm hits—will my roof be damaged, and could my insurance rates drop?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating, the highest available, and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches—a real safety net for Long Island homeowners. Class 4 rating often qualifies for insurance discounts, and some carriers recognize the reduced maintenance and longevity claims, though your agent will confirm eligibility. Suffolk County's extreme wind gusts (reaching 142 km/h) sometimes accompany hail, but the four-way interlocking design and aluminum's inherent strength mean your roof is engineered to absorb impact without losing integrity, giving you and your insurer genuine peace of mind.

Is an aluminum metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?

The lifetime limited Guardian Warranty—non-prorated for the original owner and transferable to the next owner for 50 years—means you're buying your final roof, not renting shingles you'll replace every 15–20 years. Over 50 years in Center Moriches, with its 1222 mm annual rainfall and 54 freeze-thaw days degrading asphalt faster, you'll avoid multiple tear-offs, disposal costs, and labor. Aluminum also qualifies for energy-efficiency status (reflectance up to 0.55 in certain colors), reducing cooling costs during the 3127 annual sunshine hours. When you transfer the roof to the next owner, the warranty transfer adds tangible resale value that asphalt simply doesn't provide.

Can my existing house structure support a metal roof, or do I need reinforcement?

No structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile, and even the heavier Shake profile installs at just 0.58 lb/sq ft—a fraction of traditional materials. Many Interlock roofs install directly over existing asphalt without any structural work, saving you tens of thousands in framing upgrades. Center Moriches receives about 58 cm of snow annually; that weight burden is trivial on aluminum versus slate or stone tile. Your local Interlock installer can assess your roof deck and confirm whether a direct overlay is feasible in your case, often shortening installation time and eliminating the need for decking repairs.

How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof actually need compared to asphalt or shake?

Virtually none beyond occasional gutter cleaning. Asphalt shingles degrade from UV and moisture (Center Moriches sees 3127 sunshine hours yearly), requiring inspection and repairs every few years. Wood shake splits and rots under freeze-thaw cycling. Aluminum panels are non-combustible, won't split or curl, don't absorb moisture, and the Alunar 70% PVDF coating resists fading and chalking for 30 years. CALGreen verification confirms reduced maintenance requirements. Your aluminum roof simply sheds rain, resists corrosion, and ages without deterioration—no moss treatment, no missing shingle replacements, no rot inspections. That's why the Guardian Warranty covers splitting, cracking, and curling: these failures simply don't happen with aluminum.

Can an aluminum metal roof look like slate, cedar shake, or tile instead of industrial corrugated?

Yes. Interlock offers five profiles—Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, Standing Seam, and Mediterranean Tile—each with authentic shadow lines, dimensional texture, and depth. The Slate profile replicates traditional roofing grain; Cedar Shingle mimics individual shakes; Mediterranean Tile echoes barrel clay tiles. These aren't flat sheets—four-way interlocking means panels overlap and nest together, creating the visual layering of real materials. Your roof in Center Moriches will show neighborhood curb appeal that lasts 50+ years without the maintenance burden of actual slate, shake, or tile. Available in multiple Alunar color options, you're choosing both durability and the architectural style that matches your home, not settling for industrial appearance.

Who installs Interlock roofs in Center Moriches, and how long have they been in business locally?

Interlock Roofing of America has served Center Moriches and the broader Suffolk County region since 2014, giving them a decade of experience with local climate, building codes, and homes. The company is familiar with coastal salt-air conditions, freeze-thaw cycling, and the 142 km/h wind gusts that test every fastener and overlap. They install to ICC-ES ESR-1790 specification (reissued 2025 for current building codes), ensuring your roof complies with New York building standards and qualifies for the full Guardian Warranty. Local experience means faster scheduling, quicker warranty response, and a company that understands why Center Moriches homeowners need a roof engineered for Atlantic moisture, heavy rainfall (1222 mm annually), and winter severity.

Is a metal roof a good choice for Center Moriches’s climate?

Yes. Center Moriches averages about 58 cm of snow, 1222 mm of rain, roughly 54 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 142 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
