What our customers are saying:
I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.
I wasted 4 months of my time thinking i will have a beautiful metal roof just to learn that interlock will not be able to do it after all
Interlock Roofing could have improved their communication.
I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.
We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.
I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.
My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.
To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in North Babylon
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in North Babylon, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in North Babylon.
How does a metal roof handle North Babylon's snow and ice buildup?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels shed snow and ice more effectively than asphalt because the smooth aluminum surface resists adhesion, and the system's design prevents ice dams from forming along the eaves. North Babylon averages about 55 cm of snow annually with 58 freeze-thaw cycles per year—conditions that crack and curl asphalt shingles but leave aluminum unaffected. The panels remain dimensionally stable through repeated freezing and thawing, and optional snow guards can be installed if you prefer controlled release in specific zones.
Can an aluminum metal roof rust in a humid coastal climate like Long Island?
No. Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that protects the underlying metal even if scratched. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum is coated with Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides, which has been verified under harsh conditions from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations since 1998. The dual-sided coating and the metal's inherent chemistry mean salt spray and humidity in North Babylon's marine climate pose no corrosion risk.
Will a metal roof reduce my homeowner's insurance costs if hail hits?
Metal roofs often qualify for insurance discounts because Interlock panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Some insurers recognize this resilience and lower premiums accordingly. Contact your agent with the UL rating and ICC-ES ESR-1790 documentation to discuss potential savings. In North Babylon's climate, where wind gusts reach 136 km/h, the same impact resistance that handles hail also protects against wind-driven debris.
Can aluminum panels withstand North Babylon's wind and coastal gusts?
Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking panel design is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. North Babylon's typical gusts average 136 km/h, well within this rating. The mechanical interlock—not fasteners alone—transfers wind load across the entire roof system, distributing forces that would stress conventional roofing. Combined with the panels' lightweight design, this system performs reliably through the seasonal gust patterns and Atlantic weather typical of Suffolk County.
Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof?
No structural reinforcement is required. Interlock's Shingle profile installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft, and even the heavier Tile profile at 0.59 lb/sq ft is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. This allows the system to install directly over most existing roofs without additional framing. North Babylon homes built to current code easily support this weight, and the lack of structural work accelerates installation and eliminates a major cost barrier compared to traditional tile, which would demand substantial reinforcement and can weigh 10 times more.
Will a reflective metal roof lower my cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect significant solar heat, with initial reflectance values up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they absorb and re-emit less heat than asphalt. On North Babylon's 3193 annual sunshine hours, this reflectivity reduces cooling loads in summer months, lowering air-conditioning runtime. The Cool Roof Rating Council verification confirms measured performance. Over a 40-year roof life, energy savings compound substantially, offsetting the higher initial material cost compared to asphalt shingles and narrowing the total cost of ownership.
How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof actually need?
Interlock roofs require virtually no maintenance beyond annual gutter cleaning and debris removal—the same basic care any roof needs. Unlike asphalt shingles, which degrade and require patching, or wood shakes, which split and rot, aluminum panels do not curl, crack, or lose integrity over decades. The Alunar finish is warranted 30 years against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214/D2244 measured). North Babylon's 1214 mm annual rainfall and freeze-thaw cycling accelerate asphalt degradation, making the negligible maintenance of aluminum a substantial long-term advantage.
What does Interlock's lifetime warranty actually cover?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, adding value if you sell. This structure reflects the product's durability: manufactured since 1998 in Delta, BC, Interlock panels routinely outlast multiple asphalt roof cycles. For North Babylon homeowners, this means purchasing the last roof you will install and transferring that assurance to your home's next owner.
Is a metal roof fire-rated, and does that matter in North Babylon?
Interlock offers Class A fire classification because aluminum is non-combustible—it will not ignite or spread flames. The system complies with ICC-ES ESR-1790 (IBC/IRC, reissued 2025) and achieves CALGreen verification for safety and maintenance reduction. While North Babylon's climate is not typically fire-prone, Class A rating can reduce insurance premiums and provides peace of mind in brush-fire season or if vegetation near your roof grows dense. Non-combustibility is an inherent safety advantage that asphalt and wood cannot match.
Is recycled aluminum roofing better for the environment than asphalt?
Yes. Interlock panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, eliminating the asphalt tear-off-to-landfill cycle that happens every 15-25 years with conventional roofing. North Babylon's 1214 mm annual rainfall and coastal humidity accelerate asphalt degradation, generating frequent waste. Aluminum can be melted and reused infinitely without loss of properties. Installing Interlock means you avoid multiple asphalt cycles and their disposal footprint over the roof's 40+ year life, while the transferable 50-year warranty extends the active service window further.
