Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Wyandanch

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Wyandanch, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Wyandanch.

How does a metal roof handle Wyandanch's heavy snow and ice buildup?

Aluminum's smooth, interlocking surface sheds snow and ice more efficiently than asphalt, reducing ice dam formation during Wyandanch's typical 63 cm annual snowfall and 66 freeze-thaw cycles. The four-way interlocking panels lock together so tightly that snow cannot work underneath—a critical advantage during the winter thaw-and-refreeze pattern that degrades conventional roofs. If you want to hold snow for insulation value, Interlock offers snow guards for installation. The material's 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft weight means even heavy snow loading never requires costly structural reinforcement.

Why does freeze-thaw cycling damage some roofs but not aluminum?

Freeze-thaw damage occurs when water penetrates materials and expands as it freezes—but aluminum cannot absorb water and will not rot, crack, or curl from repeated cycles. Wyandanch experiences approximately 66 freeze-thaw days annually, which devastates asphalt, wood shakes, and concrete tiles. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 aluminum alloy is also protected by an Alunar 70% PVDF coating warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, creating a two-layer defense. The interlocking design keeps water out of the substrate entirely, so the material itself never faces the freeze-thaw challenge.

Can a metal roof withstand Wyandanch's coastal wind gusts?

Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Wyandanch's typical wind gusts reach about 135 km/h, placing the roof well within the system's rated safety margin. The interlocking design means no fastener pull-through or panel separation—the panels grip each other mechanically, distributing wind load across the entire roof plane rather than concentrating stress on a few fasteners. ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 (2025) confirms code compliance for high-wind zones, so your insurance provider and local inspector will have confidence in the installation from day one.

Does Interlock metal roofing qualify for hail-damage insurance benefits?

Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Many homeowners in hail-prone regions see insurance premium reductions when they upgrade to Class 4 roofing. While Wyandanch's climate data does not flag hail as the primary concern, the Class 4 rating provides protection for the rare severe event and demonstrates engineering durability that insurers reward. Contact your insurance agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 specification and the ICC-ES ESR-1790 certificate—both documents support requests for inspection and premium review.

Will a metal roof reduce air-conditioning costs in summer?

energy-efficient Interlock colors achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they reflect heat that asphalt shingles absorb. Wyandanch receives approximately 3115 sunshine hours per year, so summer cooling burden is real. A reflective metal roof reduces attic temperature by 10–20°F compared to dark asphalt, cutting air-conditioning run time and lowering peak demand charges. The Cool Roof Rating Council verifies this performance independent of marketing claims. Over a roof's 50-year lifespan, energy savings compound—you're trading higher material cost for measurable electricity reductions.

Is Interlock metal roofing worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?

Metal roofing costs 2–3 times more initially but lasts 50+ years versus asphalt's 15–25 years, meaning you buy asphalt three times during one Interlock roof's life. The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner, transferable for 50 years to the next owner, covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—claims that would trigger asphalt replacement or costly repairs. Factor in zero maintenance (asphalt requires inspections and repairs every 5–10 years), no tear-off landfill fees, and potential energy savings over 50 years, and the total cost of ownership favors aluminum. It is literally the last roof you will buy.

How does a metal roof stay leak-free during Wyandanch's 1251 mm annual rainfall?

Interlock's four-way interlocking panels overlap and lock together at every seam, creating a cascade path that directs water off the roof rather than collecting it. With about 1251 mm (49 inches) of rain annually, a loose-seam design would fail; the mechanical interlock design has no through-fasteners that could loosen and leak. Installation over a solid deck or existing roof with full underlayment adds a secondary water barrier. The ICC-ES ESR-1790 evaluation (2025) certifies the system for code compliance in high-rainfall zones. Properly installed by Interlock Roofing of America—serving the region since 2014—these panels have zero water intrusion history.

How much maintenance does an aluminum metal roof need?

Essentially none compared to traditional materials. Asphalt shingles require inspections and repairs every 5–10 years; wood shakes need annual cleaning and rot checks; tile demands mortar repointing. Interlock aluminum panels require only occasional rinsing to remove debris, which Wyandanch's 1251 mm annual rainfall often does naturally. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating is warranted 30 years against chalking and fading per ASTM standards, so color and finish remain stable indefinitely. No caulking, sealant reapplication, or structural repairs will be needed. The CALGreen-verified material reduces maintenance burden to nearly zero—a real advantage over 50 years.

Are aluminum metal roofs better for the environment than asphalt?

Interlock aluminum panels are approximately 95% recyclable at end of life, versus asphalt shingles that are typically torn off and buried in landfills. Over 50 years, a single asphalt roof will generate three separate tear-offs; Interlock generates one recycling event. The material's 0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft weight—about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—reduces transportation emissions and installation labor. Wyandanch's average 63 cm annual snowfall and 1251 mm rain mean multiple asphalt replacement cycles, each one a landfill contribution. Choosing Interlock breaks that wasteful cycle and removes an estimated 10–15 tons of roofing waste from local disposal systems per installation, making it a concrete sustainability choice.

Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Wyandanch?

Interlock Roofing of America has served Wyandanch and the Suffolk County region since 2014, providing installation, warranty administration, and post-installation support. Local service means faster scheduling, same-day response to questions, and a proven track record in this climate's specific challenges—heavy rainfall (1251 mm annually), freeze-thaw cycling (66 days per year), and coastal wind gusts to 135 km/h. The installer holds the ICC-ES ESR-1790 certification and Intertek listing 33876, confirming training and quality control. When you need a roof inspection, warranty claim, or advice on snow guards and ventilation, you contact a local team that knows Wyandanch homes, not an out-of-state call center.
