What our customers are saying:
I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.
I wasted 4 months of my time thinking i will have a beautiful metal roof just to learn that interlock will not be able to do it after all
Interlock Roofing could have improved their communication.
I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.
We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.
I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.
My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.
To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in North Bay Shore
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in North Bay Shore, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in North Bay Shore.
Does a metal roof handle heavy snow and ice better than asphalt shingles?
Yes—aluminum's smooth, hard surface sheds snow and ice far more reliably than asphalt. North Bay Shore receives about 63 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 66 freeze-thaw cycles per year, which causes asphalt to crack and curl as it expands and contracts. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels remain dimensionally stable through these cycles, and snow guards can be added if you prefer controlled shedding. The metal won't degrade from repeated freeze-thaw stress the way asphalt does.
Why can't an aluminum metal roof rust like steel, and why does that matter here?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes and causes rust in steel roofs. Instead, aluminum forms a self-healing oxide layer that regenerates when scratched, providing permanent corrosion resistance. In North Bay Shore's humid climate with about 1251 mm of annual rainfall, this is crucial: steel roofing requires constant maintenance and will eventually fail. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 aluminum alloy with a Alunar 70% PVDF coating on both sides for extra protection, so your roof truly lasts.
How does an aluminum roof stand up to freeze-thaw cycling in a cold climate?
Aluminum expands and contracts minimally with temperature swings—far less than asphalt, wood shingles, or concrete tile. North Bay Shore averages 66 freeze-thaw days per year, and that constant stress causes asphalt to crack, wood to split, and clay to chip. The Interlock panel's solid aluminum structure and four-way interlocking design flex uniformly without degradation, and the Alunar coating (warranted 30 years against fading and chalking per ASTM D4214) doesn't become brittle in cold. You avoid the accelerated failure that other materials face in freeze-thaw climates.
With all the rain North Bay Shore gets, how does a metal roof prevent leaks?
Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels overlap so water cannot run sideways or upward into seams; water flows down and out by gravity alone. The panels are installed over a solid deck and underlayment (just like asphalt), creating two waterproofing layers. North Bay Shore receives about 1251 mm of rainfall yearly, and metal roofs excel in high-rain climates because they shed water faster than asphalt absorbs it. The interlocking design and proven installation method (Interlock Roofing of America has served this region since 2014) ensure leak-free performance even in heavy downpours.
Can a metal roof handle North Bay Shore's winter gusts and nor'easters?
Yes—Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. The region's typical gusts reach about 135 km/h, which the roof easily handles. The four-way interlocking design locks each panel to its neighbors so wind cannot lift or separate them; there are no exposed fasteners to loosen. This engineering and the lightweight aluminum (roughly 0.41 to 0.59 lb/sq ft depending on profile) mean the panels stay firmly in place while lighter materials may lift or shingle.
Is an aluminum metal roof light enough to install over my existing roof without reinforcement?
Absolutely. The Interlock Tile profile, for example, weighs only about 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile—so no structural reinforcement is needed. Most homes can support it directly over existing asphalt. This also means installation is faster and cheaper than tearing off old shingles, hauling them to landfill, and reinforcing your framing. For North Bay Shore's variable climate with 63 cm of annual snow, the light weight means snow loads are absorbed without structural strain, yet the aluminum's strength (ICC-ES ESR-1790 certified) ensures durability through decades of weather.
Will a metal roof reduce hail damage and possibly lower my insurance?
Interlock's aluminum panels carry a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. This non-combustible, impact-resistant material impresses insurers; many offer discounts for Class 4 roofing. North Bay Shore's climate includes occasional severe weather, and a roof that won't dent, crack, or perforate is a concrete asset. Contact your insurer with the UL 2218 rating and ICC-ES ESR-1790 certification; many will lower your premium, potentially offsetting a portion of the roof's cost over its lifetime.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or tile?
Interlock aluminum requires virtually no maintenance—no moss treatment, no shingle replacement, no wood sealing, no grout resealing. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating doesn't chalk, fade, or degrade (30-year warranty per ASTM D2244), so a rinse with a garden hose every few years keeps it looking new. Asphalt shingles in North Bay Shore's freeze-thaw climate (66 cycles yearly) crack within 15–20 years and require constant patching. Tile cracks from impact and temperature stress. Wood shakes split and rot in 1251 mm of annual rainfall. Aluminum simply outlasts them all with minimal upkeep.
What does Interlock's lifetime warranty actually cover?
Yes, the Guardian Warranty is a true lifetime limited non-prorated coverage—it covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance for as long as you own your home. It's also one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years from completion, which adds significant resale appeal. Asphalt lasts 15–20 years; tile 30–40; wood 20–30. In North Bay Shore's climate of freeze-thaw stress and heavy rainfall, Interlock's aluminum performs for 50+ years with no material degradation. That single lifetime warranty means your family is protected, and when you sell, your buyer knows the roof is guaranteed—a rare peace of mind in the roofing world.
Is an aluminum metal roof really more sustainable than asphalt shingles?
Yes—Interlock aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable, so at end of life (50+ years away), it returns to the material stream. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, are torn off every 15–20 years and dumped into landfills by the millions of tons; North Bay Shore alone generates tons of roofing waste annually. Aluminum's durability also means you buy one roof instead of three or four asphalt ones over a home's lifetime, eliminating repeated tear-off waste, hauling, and disposal. The lightweight design (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft) also installs over existing roofs, avoiding the landfill impact of removal. Over 50 years, choosing Interlock removes your home from the asphalt waste cycle entirely.
