Review: June 10, 2016 Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Lindenhurst

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Lindenhurst, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Lindenhurst.

Will a metal roof hold up to freeze-thaw cycles in Lindenhurst winters?

Yes—aluminum's oxide layer actually strengthens it through freeze-thaw stress. Lindenhurst experiences about 58 freeze-thaw days per year, and roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum (ASTM B209) expands and contracts without cracking, splitting, or curling like asphalt or wood. The material is non-porous, so it won't trap moisture that causes deterioration. That's why Interlock panels have been installed from coastal homes to Antarctica since 1998, and why the Guardian Warranty covers splitting and cracking for the original owner's lifetime.

How does Interlock metal roofing handle heavy rain?

Four-way interlocking panels create a sealed overlap system that sheds Lindenhurst's 1214 mm of annual rainfall without pooling. Each panel locks to its neighbors on all four sides—water runs off and through the seams, not into them. When installed over solid deck and underlayment to spec ESR-1790 (ICC-ES, reissued 2025), the system is leak-proof; the panels themselves are immune to rot because aluminum cannot rust or absorb water. Heavy rain is exactly what this design was engineered for.

Do I need snow guards on a metal roof in Lindenhurst?

Snow retention depends on your roof pitch and Lindenhurst's typical 55 cm annual snowfall. The four-way interlocking panels grip snow and ice; they don't create the avalanche risk of smooth standing seam. Snow guards are optional but often chosen for safety near doorways or walkways, not structural necessity. The aluminum's extreme lightness—the Shake profile installs at only 0.58 lb/sq ft—means ice accumulation poses no structural strain, and the panels warm slightly in the 3193 annual sunshine hours, aiding natural melt-off.

Can Interlock panels survive Lindenhurst's nor'easters and coastal gusts?

Absolutely. Lindenhurst typical gusts reach 136 km/h; Interlock panels are warranted to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to spec. The four-way interlocking design distributes wind load across all fastening points—there's no single point of failure. UL 2218 Class 4 hail impact rating (the highest available) correlates with exceptional panel rigidity. The 2014-established local installer, Interlock Roofing of America, secures panels per ESR-1790 guidance, a standard that's held through decades of coastal storms.

Can my house handle a metal roof, or do I need expensive structural work?

Almost no house needs reinforcement. Interlock's Mediterranean Tile profile—which replicates the look of clay or concrete—weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft, roughly 96% lighter than actual tile. Concrete tile runs 12–15 lb/sq ft; Interlock Tile is one-twentieth that weight. Most homes' existing framing easily supports aluminum, so you avoid the $3,000–$8,000 structural upgrades that tile often requires. The lightweight design is especially valuable in Lindenhurst's freeze-thaw environment, where repeated expansion cycles put less cumulative stress on the structure.

Why is aluminum better than steel roofing for salt air and coastal weather?

Aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust. Steel corrodes when iron oxidizes; aluminum forms a self-healing oxide layer that protects the base metal and actually restores itself when scratched. Lindenhurst's 1214 mm annual rainfall and occasional salt spray (Suffolk County coastal influence) are precisely the conditions where this matters. Interlock applies Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating to both panel sides (extra protection in salt air), warranted 30 years against chalking and fading per ASTM D4214/D2244. After 30 years, the aluminum underneath remains corrosion-free.

What's the actual warranty on an Interlock roof, and how long will it last?

The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited, non-prorated for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. The warranty is one-time transferable, so the next owner receives 50 years from completion. This is the only roof contract that protects against multiple failure modes under one umbrella, from day one through decades. For a Lindenhurst home, it means you never worry about freeze-thaw cracks, salt-air corrosion, or hail perforation; your resale buyer gets the same assurance.

Does hail damage metal roofing, and will insurance cover it?

Interlock aluminum earned UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty explicitly covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Class 4 means the panels survived 2-inch steel ball drops from 20 feet without cracking or losing impact resistance. Many insurers recognize Class 4 ratings and offer premium discounts (10–15% typical, verified with your carrier). Lindenhurst's 136 km/h gusts often bring hail; with UL 2218 Class 4 documentation, you have both material protection and a stronger insurance claim if damage occurs.

How often do I need to maintain an Interlock metal roof?

Aluminum requires virtually no maintenance—no annual inspections, no coating reapplication, no moss or algae treatment. Asphalt shingles need regular nail checks, flashing sealing, and granule loss inspection; wood shakes rot and split; tile cracks. Interlock's sealed, non-porous panels shed Lindenhurst's 1214 mm annual rain and 55 cm snow without absorbing moisture. The Alunar coating is rated for 30 years, meaning the roof performs without intervention for three decades. Occasional rinsing removes salt residue in coastal areas—that's optional, not necessary. The CALGreen building code recognizes it as reduced-maintenance.

Will a metal roof lower my cooling costs in summer?

energy-efficient Interlock colors reflect heat rather than absorb it, with initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84 (measured per Cool Roof Rating Council). Lindenhurst averages 3193 sunshine hours yearly—every hour of sun that bounces away instead of heating your attic reduces air-conditioning load. Dark asphalt reaches 80–90°C in summer sun; reflective aluminum stays cooler, lowering peak indoor temperatures and demand charges. Over a 50-year lifespan, energy savings often exceed the difference in installation cost, and the warranty transfers to your buyer, so the next owner benefits too.
