Review: June 10, 2016Completion: March 1, 2016

I am very disgusted with what happen in terms of what the salesperson told me I was going to get. My neighbor has the same roof and said that he had a good job Interlock was over sold and under delivered in terms of what they promised. I think they could have improved on customer service, follow up, letting the customer know when the start dates change, and the installers should be more prideful in their work. I called back several times about when they were going to start the work. I was told by the contractor that my problems would be forward to the office but no one in the office knew about my problems. I know foresee that I will have issues down the road because it was not put on properly. I think they should do it right the first time and do exactly what they say they will do. Some of my concerns and issues are based on what I have gone through. I don't want anyone else to go through this. I feel that there might be some customers who don't speak up and will just let things slide by and that isn't right. The owner doesn't know what the people are costing his company by the lack of workmanship and quality of work and customer service. When people get this kind of service they will never use that company again. I told Jennifer that they gave me a Mercedes roof but had installers for Ikea install it. My neighbor feels bad for recommending them to me.I work at home and I am most of the time. The last day they completed the job no one told me that it was going to be the last day. I was two hours away when I got the call that it was the last day and they were done and I needed to sign paperwork. He wanted me to walk around the property to look at the work but by the time I got home the sun had already set and I couldn't see anything. I refused to sign off on the work.

I would love to do it, but I can't justify spending that much money. I love the product, but I'd have to win some money to afford it. I like the sales pitch, and the salesman, but it cost too much. They have a unique product, and the design is good.

We are writing to thank your company for the wonderful new roof installation that we have. It is refreshing in today's business world to be able to have a company say and do exactly what is expected of them. Your sales representative, Robert Allen, was very knowledgeable and informative about the product and the installation of it. He was not an aggressive salesman, which we appreciated. The installers were the BEST! Dmitry, Leonid and Danny were the hardest working men we have ever had work on anything that we have ever had done at our house. They worked every moment that they were here, and the most severe conditions. The job was finished in a timely manor. We definitely will recommend your company to our friends.

I’m not sure who to best direct this letter of appreciation to but I’m assuming it will be shared with Interlock officials. As briefly mentioned in an email to you we are thrilled with everything. From our initial deliberations in choosing Interlock to the completion of the project we have been impressed. We have completed many remodeling projects in our home. Replacing a roof certainly would be considered major. To know that we will not need to worry about replacing it is very comforting, not to mention the impressive appearance and worth it has added to our home and neighborhood. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the extraordinary work and work habits of Nazar. Committed, exacting, attention to detail, particular are words that immediately come to mind. His knowledge and work ethic are off the scale – long work days, mindful of what needs doing next (particularly with vagaries of spring weather) are noteworthy. He’s a gem you can absolutely depend on. We await our first major nasty weather event to put this all to test – one that we were very confident about. Thank you once again. It is reassuring to know we will benefit so nicely from the superior workmanship and quality of the roofing products.

My wife and I wanted you to know that we are very pleased with the new Interlock shingle roof recently installed on our twenty year old home. The color matches the rest of our home and the shingles look tremendous. While we knew we needed a new roof and we we looked at a number of different options and contractors, we believed that selecting your company was without a doubt a winner in every respect. We became aware of your product through the website of the ">Metal Roofing Alliance that led us to your company's own web page. Subsequently, we met with Mr. Robert Allen, Regional Marketing Coordinator of New York's Best Roof, Inc., who fully addressed all of our questions and was readily available throughout the process. Installation was also handled in a very professional manner, and we could not ask for better assistance from either Mr. Allen or the installation crew of New York's Best Roof, Inc. We look forward to many happy years under the security of our new aluminum shingle roof, and would gladly recommend your product and the team from New York's Best Roof, Inc. to anyone. We are also very pleased with the energy savings, maintenance free characteristics and environmentally friendly aspects of our new ">aluminum roof.

To: Interlock / New York's Best Roof My husband and I wanted to write to you to let you know how pleased we are with our entire experience working with Interlock. We now have a beautiful new roof and the process was totally professional and first rate. We first learned about Interlock from information received in the mail. However Mr. Robert Allen, our sales coordinator, gave a very thorough, knowledgeable presentation of the roofing product, answering our questions, showing samples and leaving us with written materials we could look over at our leisure. Mr. Allen was always a phone call away to answer our questions, returning our calls if not the same day certainly with a 24-hour period. Once we decided to purchase an Interlock roof, the time frame spelled out in the contract was adhered to. Financing was available and Mr. Patrick Doyle worked very diligently to get us the best rate of interest available to us. Whatever concerns we had were addressed and the paperwork was simple and straightforward. The installment crew was professional, courteous and hardworking. Our roof was done in 2 1/2 days and clean-up was always done at the end of each day. The crew always spoke with my husband in a polite, unobtrusive manner and did whatever it took to make the installation as easy as possible. Now not only do we have a great looking roof with a 50-year " title="warranty" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty, we also bought a great product. The roofing itself creates minimal waste and is recyclable. It reflects the sun in the summer so our air conditioning works more efficiently. In the winter we no longer have to snow rake the roof, the snow melts off automatically. Our house now seems quieter, even our 14 year old son remarked he didn't know it was raining until the rain hit the windows. Our new roof gives our house a more finished look and according to our tax expert, ">metal roofs are tax-deductible! My husband and I can not only say enough positive things about interlock. We would highly recommend their product and company to anyone considering a new roof. Drive by and see the finished product!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in West Babylon

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in West Babylon, New York. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in West Babylon.

Can an aluminum metal roof rust in West Babylon's salty air and humid climate?

No. Aluminum contains no iron, so it cannot rust under any condition. Instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that protects the bare metal if scratched. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish (applied to both sides) adds a second defense, warranted 30 years against fading. With roughly 1214 mm of annual rainfall and frequent salt air exposure typical of Long Island, this dual protection keeps the roof performing where steel or asphalt would degrade.

How does an aluminum roof handle freeze-thaw cycles in Suffolk County winters?

Aluminum's low thermal mass means it expands and contracts minimally compared to heavier materials. The four-way interlocking panel design accommodates small movement without stress. West Babylon experiences roughly 58 freeze-thaw days per year and about 55 cm of snow annually. Unlike asphalt shingles that crack or wood shakes that split under repeated freezing, the roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy and Alunar coating cycle without damage, preserving the Guardian lifetime warranty coverage.

Will snow and ice accumulate on a metal roof in this area?

Snow will sit on the panels like any roof until it melts or slides off. The smooth aluminum surface can shed ice and snow faster than asphalt or wood, especially on steeper pitches. West Babylon averages about 55 cm of snow per year and experiences roughly 136 km/h wind gusts in winter storms, which naturally clear panels. Metal roofing does not create ice dams because the solid deck and underlayment prevent heat loss that causes them. Snow guards are available if you want to retain snow for insulation or aesthetics.

Can a metal roof withstand West Babylon's winter gust winds?

Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Local wind gusts average about 136 km/h, placing them within the warranty protection. The ESR-1790 evaluation confirms structural compliance with IBC/IRC codes. Homeowners in coastal and exposed areas from Nova Scotia to Antarctica rely on this design. The interlocking seams transfer wind load across multiple panels, eliminating the single-fastener failure points that compromise traditional asphalt or shingle roofs.

Does a metal roof reduce hail damage and insurance premiums?

Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the Guardian warranty covers hailstone perforation up to 1.5 inches. Suffolk County sees occasional severe storms, and aluminum's non-combustible properties (Class A fire classification available) also impress underwriters. Many insurers offer discounts on aluminum roofs because claims are rare. Contact your agent with the UL rating; the combination of impact resistance and Class A fire rating can lower your annual premium.

How does metal roofing perform during heavy rainfall?

The four-way interlocking panels shed water aggressively because water cannot pool at fasteners—there are no exposed fasteners in the field. West Babylon receives about 1214 mm of rainfall annually. The panels lock together so tightly that water is directed into the gutter system without chance of bypass. A solid deck and ice-and-water shield underlayment (recommended during installation) prevent any leakage into the attic. Interlock has shipped panels from coastal salt-air environments to an Antarctic research station, proving performance in the world's harshest wet conditions.

Do I need to reinforce my roof frame for a metal roof?

No structural reinforcement is needed. The Slate and Shingle profiles install at about 0.41 lb per square foot, and the Tile profile (which replicates clay or concrete tile) weighs roughly 96% less than traditional tile. Most homes can install over existing asphalt without any frame work. This matters in West Babylon where older homes often have original framing never designed for heavy slate or clay tile weight. The lightweight aluminum alloy also reduces overall house stress in snow-load conditions—about 55 cm per year falls locally—keeping your home's structural integrity unchanged.

What is the warranty on Interlock roofs, and does it transfer if I sell?

The Guardian lifetime limited warranty is non-prorated for the original owner and covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance for life. The warranty transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion date. This one-time transfer adds value if you resell; buyers receive decades of coverage without renewal cost. Combine that with the 30-year Alunar coating warranty and UL 2218 Class 4 rating, and you own a roof engineered to outlast virtually all asphalt, wood, or composite alternatives.

Do metal roofs reduce heating and cooling costs?

energy-efficient colors reduce cooling costs by reflecting rather than absorbing summer heat. Selected finishes achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they reject heat that dark asphalt absorbs. West Babylon receives roughly 3193 sunshine hours per year. In summer, a reflective metal roof keeps attic temperatures lower than asphalt, reducing air conditioning load. The Cool Roof Rating Council certification proves measurable performance. Over a 30+ year lifespan, energy savings compound—especially valuable if you sell, as buyers factor lower utility bills into their offer.

Who installs Interlock roofs in West Babylon?

Interlock Roofing of America has served the West Babylon region since 2014 and handles all installations locally. They understand Suffolk County's climate—1214 mm of rain, 55 cm of snow, 58 freeze-thaw days annually—and tailor installation to local conditions. The company is factory-trained in four-way interlocking panel technique and follows ESR-1790 compliance for New York building codes. When you choose Interlock metal roofing, you work with a team that knows the neighborhood, your building department, and the exact weather your roof must survive.

Is a metal roof a good choice for West Babylon’s climate?

Yes. West Babylon averages about 55 cm of snow, 1214 mm of rain, roughly 58 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 136 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
