Jonathan was an amazing salesman. He was patient. What I wanted wasn't offered at the time, but he said he could probably find it, so he went above and beyond at his salesman task. If I could have chosen a company, I would have chosen Interlock.

Review: November 15, 2016 Completion: August 30, 2016

I first found out about Interlock metal roofs when I visited one of our customer's homes and noticed the gorgeous roof...I asked her who installed it for her and she told me it was a metal roof by Interlock. The roof on my house was in very bad shape and I was shopping for a new roof and I put Interlock at the top of my list. Upon doing some research, I realized that an Interlock roof was going to cost me quite a bit more than a conventional shingled roof and I was bummed that it may be out of my budget, so I got several quotes on conventional shingles before I finally decided to contact Interlock and get an accurate quote. From the first contact with the Interlock sales rep, Jeff Smith, I could tell that Interlock was a company that operated at a far higher level than any other home improvement companies I have come in contact with...Jeff was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and prepared! He conducted himself in a professional manner and took the time to ask lots of questions about my goals for the house and roof, he took accurate measurements so he could provide me with an accurate quote and while he was preparing his quote (on the spot), he had me watch an informational video on his iPad that outlined all of the benefits of an Interlock roof (Lifetime Warranty, hail resistant, wind resistant, Energy efficient, snow slides off, etc., etc.). By the end of the video, I was 100% convinced that the product is amazing and I knew it was the roof I wanted...but, I was still nervous that it would be waaayyy out of my budget. I told Jeff of my concerns and he presented me with the quote....which, as I suspected, was almost 2.5 times more than a conventional shingle roof. Once I got over my initial sticker shock, I thought about all the value that I would be getting...Lifetime Warranty, hail resistant, wind resistant, Energy efficient, snow slides off, etc., etc. and the decision became much easier...then, to make it even easier, Interlock offered me great financing which fit my budget perfectly! How could I say no? The roof was installed about 2 months ago and it looks AWESOME!! I am very happy with the decision to spend the extra money for a high quality product and I've already recommended Interlock to multiple people...including my brother who is an architect for high-end homes and he was so impressed with the quality that he's been recommending Interlock roofs to his clients!

Review: April 12, 2016 Completion: February 18, 2016

Informed it would be 6-8 weeks delivery. A total of 6 month wait time. This was the 1st winter we had no snow in January. The arrival of supplies was day of blizzard in Feb. They worked very diligently and hard because they had to shovel roof off during 2 snow storms. I felt very sorry for this awful inconvenience to them working in such awful weather. They were great workers and very prof. A wait time of 6 months was our only complaint.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Pascoag

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Pascoag, Rhode Island. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Pascoag.

Will a metal roof handle Rhode Island's freeze-thaw cycles without damage?

Yes—aluminum's non-porous oxide layer actually strengthens under freeze-thaw stress. Pascoag experiences about 83 freeze-thaw days annually, and unlike asphalt (which cracks from expansion) or wood (which splits), aluminum expands and contracts uniformly without material degradation. The Alunar coating resists this cycling for 30 years minimum. Your roof won't develop the micro-fractures that end asphalt roofs' lives in colder climates.

How does Interlock handle heavy snow and ice in Pascoag winters?

Interlock's four-way interlocking panels shed snow reliably and won't trap ice dams the way asphalt does. Pascoag receives about 76 cm of snow per year, and the smooth aluminum surface resists ice bonding. You can add snow guards if desired for safety. The lightweight design—Shingle profile at just 0.41 lb/sq ft—means snow loads stress your structure far less than real slate or tile would, and no structural reinforcement is ever needed.

Can Interlock metal roofing survive Pascoag's coastal wind gusts?

Absolutely. The four-way interlocking system is warranted to resist winds up to 120 mph, well above Pascoag's typical gust speeds of 118 km/h (about 73 mph). Each panel locks mechanically to its neighbors; there's no fastener-only attachment point where wind can lift or tear. Even with severe storms, your roof stays intact when installed to specification by a qualified local contractor.

With 1200 mm of rain per year, will a metal roof leak in heavy downpours?

No. Metal roofing sheds water faster than asphalt because of its smooth surface and the interlocking overlap design—water has nowhere to pool. Pascoag's annual rainfall of about 1200 mm is handled reliably by a properly installed Interlock system with solid deck underlayment. The panels' four-way mechanical interlock, combined with metal flashing and a sealed install, creates a drier roof than traditional shingles, which absorb moisture over time.

Why won't my Interlock metal roof rust like steel ones do?

Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209), which contains no iron and therefore cannot rust—ever. Even in salt air or after a scratch, aluminum's self-healing oxide layer prevents corrosion. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating is applied to both sides of every panel, giving an extra 30-year warranty against coastal salt spray. Where steel roofs deteriorate, aluminum stays structurally sound.

Does Interlock metal roofing protect against hail damage in Pascoag?

Yes. Interlock holds UL 2218 Class 4, the highest hail impact rating available, and the Guardian Warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. While Pascoag's climate data doesn't suggest frequent large hail, the protection is there when needed. Many insurance companies recognize this rating and may offer premium discounts. Your metal roof will never need to be replaced due to hail; asphalt roofs routinely do.

How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or tile?

Interlock requires almost no maintenance. Unlike asphalt, which deteriorates in UV light and sheds granules, or clay tile, which cracks and needs pointing, aluminum never rots, splits, or curls. A rinse with a garden hose every few years keeps it clean; that's it. The Alunar coating is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance. Over 30+ years, you'll spend far less on repairs than your neighbors will on roof restoration or replacement cycles.

What's the real lifespan of Interlock metal roofing, and what does the warranty cover?

The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner—it covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's also one-time transferable, giving the next owner 50 years of coverage from completion. Because aluminum doesn't degrade like asphalt, your roof won't need replacement during your ownership. This is genuinely the last roof you'll buy, backed in writing for your lifetime.

Can a metal roof actually reduce cooling costs in a Rhode Island home?

Yes. Interlock's energy-efficient colors feature thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55, meaning they reflect heat that asphalt absorbs and re-radiates into your home. Even with Pascoag's modest 3050 sunshine hours annually, the cooling savings add up over time, especially in summer months. You're not fighting solar heat gain the way you do with dark shingles. Reflective coatings also keep attic temperatures down and extend HVAC life.

Is Interlock metal roofing worth the upfront cost in the long run?

Yes, when you measure total cost of ownership. An asphalt roof lasts 15–20 years and needs costly tear-off and landfill disposal; you'll replace it 2–3 times in your lifetime. Interlock lasts your lifetime with one transferable warranty and zero replacement cycles. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. Over 50 years, you're investing once, not repeatedly—plus you dodge the environmental impact of shingle waste and gain recyclable aluminum worth salvage value.
