I brought some thingd to their attention during installation, but were initially ignored. However, when I again brought these to their attention, they were fixed satisfactorily. The itemd were thingd one by the 2nd. The primary did the corrections. The completion of this job was slightly delayed due to an electical storn that chased the crew off the roof. I was impressed by then arriving early and staying until it was too dark to safely work longer.

Review: October 14, 2025 Completion: August 31, 2025

We recently had our roof replaced with interlock aluminum shingles and we love how it made our house stand out in our neighborhood. I would have given 5 stars but there were few things that I wanted to point out. Ross arrived on time and did an excellent presentation. I specifically asked him if their installers are contractors and his answer was no, they are employees of interlock. Turns out they are contractors which is no big deal as long as they do excellent work, it’s all about honesty. Prior to installation, the installers told me that it would take about two and a half days to finish which is great, I said no rush. The installation process took two weeks, I hope everything will go well this coming rainy season. The only thing I didn’t like was at the end of the day they leave their tools in the driveway just laying around and the worst they leave their microwave plugged into the outlet with damaged power cord. But with all things said, we love our new roof and only time will tell if it was worth the price.

Review: November 4, 2022 Completion: October 20, 2022

Be sure that everything is coordinated so the project starts on time. They need to have enough material and a dump truck so they don't get halfway through and then have to wait. The project manager needs to make sure his voicemail isn't full, return phone calls and emails, and explain why he's not doing that. These are the areas that could have been improved on for my project. It was a very expensive roof, and I was disappointed in how it played out. For example, it didn't start on time, and Abad worked on weekends by himself. The project manager was not on top of it. I expected more for a $40,000 roof. The quality of the workmanship is great, and hopefully it'll last a long time. I'm not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to roofing, but everything from the ground looks fine.

Review: November 10, 2015

The other companies we spoke with came out and talked to us, then sent us a bid. They didn't put pressure on us, which is an important thing, especially because replacing a roof can be very costly. The other companies also went up on our roof to give an estimate, which Interlock did not do.

Review: July 22, 2007 Completion: March 13, 1999

We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this ">roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Bothell West

The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Bothell West, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Bothell West.

Does metal roofing handle Bothell West's snow and ice buildup?

Yes. Bothell West receives about 52 cm of snow annually across roughly 58 freeze-thaw days, creating conditions where ice dams commonly form on conventional roofs. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels shed snow and ice more reliably than asphalt because the smooth, non-porous surface prevents water from refreezing at the eave. The panels' light weight—Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft—means no structural reinforcement is required, and the warranty covers snow load performance. Optional snow guards can be installed if you need to slow roof sliding.

Will freeze-thaw cycles damage aluminum metal roofing?

No. Aluminum's oxide layer actually self-heals when scratched, making it inherently resistant to freeze-thaw damage. Bothell West experiences roughly 58 freeze-thaw days annually with temperatures averaging 10.2°C, a cycle that degrades asphalt and wood shingles through repeated expansion and contraction. Interlock's 3105-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) and dual-sided Alunar 70% PVDF coating are rated for these swings without cracking, chalking, or loss of impact resistance—all covered under the lifetime Guardian Warranty.

Can aluminum roofing rust in Bothell West's rainy climate?

Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes and corrodes. In Bothell West's wet climate, where you receive 1372 mm of rain yearly, this matters enormously. Even scratches self-heal with a protective oxide layer. The Alunar fluorocarbon finish is applied to both sides of every panel, offering 30-year protection against chalking and fading (ASTM D4214/D2244 certified), which is critical in a region with 2907 sunshine hours per year that would otherwise fade and degrade steel. Steel roofs require paint touch-ups and eventually rust; aluminum does neither.

How does metal roofing perform in Snohomish County windstorms?

The four-way interlocking panels resist wind up to 120 mph when installed to specification—far stronger than typical gusts in Bothell West, which average 14 km/h with occasional peaks near 96 km/h. The interlocking design means panels cannot be lifted or separated by wind pressure. UL testing certifies Class 4 hail impact resistance and the Guardian Warranty explicitly covers wind damage. For the rare extreme gust, this design gives you structural security that overlapping asphalt shingles cannot match.

Do I need to reinforce my roof framing for metal roofing?

No structural reinforcement is needed. The Mediterranean Tile profile installs at just 0.59 lb/sq ft—about 96% lighter than actual concrete or clay tile—while delivering the visual weight of premium materials. Interlock panels install directly over most existing roofs because aluminum weighs so little compared to the slate, shake, and tile profiles they replicate. This means lower installation costs, faster timeline, and no contractor fees for structural upgrades. It's one reason the ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790, reissued 2025) confirms installation compatibility over diverse roof types.

How does metal roofing handle Bothell West's heavy rainfall?

The interlocking four-way panel design sheds water—Bothell West averages 1372 mm of rain yearly, and metal roofing's non-porous surface simply directs it downward and off the roof faster than asphalt absorbs it. There is no saturation, rot, or degradation. The panels' overlap profile prevents standing water and the ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790) confirms water management performance under code requirements. Combined with proper underlayment and drainage, this design delivers decades of leak-free performance in your region's wet climate.

Will a metal roof reduce my cooling and heating costs?

energy-efficient colors reflect rather than absorb heat—initial solar reflectance reaches 0.55 on some finishes with thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning less solar gain in summer and lower air-conditioning load. Bothell West receives about 2907 sunshine hours annually; this reflectance directly reduces cooling demand on warmer days. The Guardian Warranty is non-prorated for the original owner, so you keep the efficiency benefit for life. Over 40+ years, the cumulative energy savings compound, especially compared to asphalt shingles that absorb and re-radiate heat.

What warranty does Interlock Metal Roofing offer, and is it truly transferable?

The Guardian Warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner—you never pay prorated deductibles. It covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. The warranty is one-time transferable to the next owner for 50 years from completion, adding significant resale value. This depth of coverage reflects Interlock's manufacturing since 1998 and real-world performance from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations. Few roofing products offer this combination of owner protection and transferability.

Is a metal roof actually cheaper than replacing asphalt shingles every 20 years?

Over the roof's life, yes. Asphalt typically requires replacement every 15–20 years in Bothell West's wet, freeze-thaw climate; aluminum roofing lasts 40–50+ years under the Guardian Warranty. Do the math: three asphalt tear-offs and new installations versus one aluminum install equals lower total cost of ownership, plus zero maintenance painting, no seasonal repairs, and no landfill contribution. A current promotion offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation. The lifetime warranty also transfers 50 years to the next owner, directly increasing your home's resale appeal.
