What our customers are saying:
It went well.
I am very impressed with the quality of your metal roof and would have loved to have gone with it. Now I know that I should quadruple the amount of money I need to save up if I expect to have a metal roof. I realize your roof is superior to the standard shingles and was impressed with how they lock together to give a tight seal.
The only step that was missing was notification of actual start date. Otherwise, the rest of the process was fine. We're quite pleased with the end results. The roof is now the best feature of our 1912 victorian. Time for new siding to compliment the overall appearance.

did great
We recently had our roof replaced with interlock aluminum shingles and we love how it made our house stand out in our neighborhood. I would have given 5 stars but there were few things that I wanted to point out. Ross arrived on time and did an excellent presentation. I specifically asked him if their installers are contractors and his answer was no, they are employees of interlock. Turns out they are contractors which is no big deal as long as they do excellent work, it’s all about honesty. Prior to installation, the installers told me that it would take about two and a half days to finish which is great, I said no rush. The installation process took two weeks, I hope everything will go well this coming rainy season. The only thing I didn’t like was at the end of the day they leave their tools in the driveway just laying around and the worst they leave their microwave plugged into the outlet with damaged power cord. But with all things said, we love our new roof and only time will tell if it was worth the price.
Be sure that everything is coordinated so the project starts on time. They need to have enough material and a dump truck so they don't get halfway through and then have to wait. The project manager needs to make sure his voicemail isn't full, return phone calls and emails, and explain why he's not doing that. These are the areas that could have been improved on for my project. It was a very expensive roof, and I was disappointed in how it played out. For example, it didn't start on time, and Abad worked on weekends by himself. The project manager was not on top of it. I expected more for a $40,000 roof. The quality of the workmanship is great, and hopefully it'll last a long time. I'm not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to roofing, but everything from the ground looks fine.
Interlock Roofing was friendly, helpful and super fast at installing our gorgeous new roof! Can't believe it's no louder in the rain than our old roof!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Clearview
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Clearview, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Clearview.
How does a metal roof handle Clearview's annual snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice more effectively than asphalt because the smooth, hard surface resists ice adhesion, and the light weight of Interlock panels (Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft) won't strain your structure under heavy loads. Clearview receives about 52 cm of snow yearly with roughly 58 freeze-thaw days, creating conditions where ice dams form easily on absorptive materials—metal's non-porous surface and natural slope prevent water pooling. Four-way interlocking panels maintain integrity through repeated expansion-contraction cycles, and optional snow guards let you control slide timing safely without material degradation.
Will a metal roof stay watertight during Clearview's heavy rainy season?
Yes—Clearview's 1372 mm annual rainfall is exactly why the four-way interlocking system and solid deck installation prevent leaks where traditional roofs fail. Each panel locks on all sides, channeling water downward to gutters rather than allowing capillary wicking into seams. Metal's non-absorbent aluminum surface means water runs off instantly instead of pooling on asphalt; combined with proper underlayment and flashing, this design handles months of persistent moisture without wood rot, mold, or structural decay.
Does aluminum roofing stand up to freeze-thaw cycling?
Aluminum thrives in freeze-thaw environments because it has no water-absorption pathway—ice forming on the surface doesn't penetrate or weaken the material. With about 58 freeze-thaw days per year in Clearview, asphalt shingles and wood shake crack and curl as absorbed moisture expands; aluminum's solid, non-porous 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 alloy simply contracts and expands uniformly without micro-fracturing. The 30-year Alunar coating warranty covers this cycling, and the material's self-healing oxide layer resists any corrosion from salt-laden winter air.
Can an aluminum roof rust in Clearview's rainy climate?
No—aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron; what protects it is an oxide layer that self-heals when scratched. Steel roofs require costly maintenance to prevent rust stains and structural failure, but Interlock's roofing-grade aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) and Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides mean the material stays inert in Clearview's wet, occasionally salty air. Even in coastal climates and Antarctic research stations, these panels resist corrosion for decades without paint touch-ups or protective coatings beyond the factory finish.
Is a metal roof strong enough for Snohomish County wind gusts?
Yes—Interlock panels are warranted to withstand wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification. Clearview's typical gusts reach 96 km/h with peak winds far below that threshold, so the four-way interlocking design provides a safety margin well above local conditions. Each panel locks on all four edges, distributing lateral forces across the entire roof system rather than relying on fasteners alone; this engineering handles the occasional nor'easter without lifted edges or flutter noise.
Do I need to reinforce my roof for a metal install?
No structural reinforcement is needed. The Mediterranean Tile profile weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than traditional tile—so it installs over most existing roofs without floor joist upgrades. This lightweight advantage means faster installation, lower labor costs, and compatibility with older homes where structural reinforcement would be prohibitively expensive. Even Clearview's 52 cm annual snow load causes no concern because aluminum's minimal weight leaves plenty of capacity for snow, ice, and wind force combined.
Do metal roofs reduce cooling costs in the Pacific Northwest?
Yes, energy-efficient Interlock colors with thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 reflect more sunlight than asphalt, reducing heat absorption into your home. Clearview receives about 2907 sunshine hours yearly—enough for measurable cooling savings on sunny summer days, even in the PNW's cloudy climate. The Cool Roof Rating Council certification means lower attic temperatures translating to reduced HVAC runtime; over a 50+ year lifespan, that compounds into significant energy-cost recovery while maintaining comfort during the dry season.
What's the warranty on Interlock Metal Roofing, and how long does it actually last?
The Guardian warranty is lifetime limited, non-prorated for the original owner and transferable for 50 years to the next owner from completion date. This covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance—the failures that plague asphalt (15–20 years) and wood (25–30 years) in wet climates. Clearview's freeze-thaw cycling and persistent moisture accelerate failure in conventional roofing, but Interlock's aluminum construction and 30-year coating warranty mean your roof outlasts mortgages and building cycles, making it genuinely the last roof you'll install.
How much maintenance does a metal roof require compared to asphalt or shake?
Metal requires far less: no annual inspection for torn shingles, no moss or algae treatment, no wood rot monitoring. Asphalt degrades under Clearview's 1372 mm annual rain and 58 freeze-thaw days, requiring repairs within 15 years; wood shake splits and curls in the same conditions and demands regular sealing. Interlock's aluminum surface sheds debris, resists moss in shade, and needs only occasional gutter cleaning—the CALGreen-verified maintenance profile means you're not climbing a ladder every spring to patch damage. Over decades, this saves thousands in labor and materials.
How long does installation take, and can you install over my existing roof?
Installation typically spans a few days to a week depending on roof size and complexity; because Interlock panels are extraordinarily light—Slate at 0.41 lb/sq ft—crews move faster than with asphalt or tile. You can install directly over most existing roofs, avoiding costly tear-off and landfill disposal, which speeds the timeline and reduces labor costs. Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served your region since 1997 and can assess your specific roof during a site visit; the current promotion offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation, making now an ideal time to start that conversation.
