What our customers are saying:
We noticed water spots on the ceiling. Ivan came, found a hole likely caused by a branch in the recent wind storm. He repaired the hole on the spot. Thank you Ivan!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged " title="Copper Roofing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="2680">Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
We had the Interlock Roof installed in November of 2015 since then we have had some torrential rains and winds exceeding 50 mph. The roof has weathered the storms and is just as sound as the day the workers completed the installation. We are extremely pleased with the roof and the appearance of the roof. We are also very pleased that we chose the Interlock roof, both for the appearance and the wear ability of the product. It is a huge relief for us to know that this is the final roof we will ever have to put on our house and that the product is backed by a lifetime " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">warranty. Your roofing specialists that installed the roof were very professional, considerate, and thorough in their work. The property was cleaned and checked when the installation was complete. They promptly addressed any concerns we had and insured we were totally satisfied prior to completing the project. The entire crew deserves a hearty well done.
To Whom It May Concern: We bought our house in 2001. At that time we knew we had about 5-7 years of life left on our composition roof. In October of 2009, my husband and I attended the Home Show held at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and we submitted our name at the Interlock booth to get more information about metal roofs, as we had been thinking about moving in that direction to replace the roof. About two weeks later, we met Ross Peterson. He spent about two hours educating us on roofs and all the different types of roofing materials available, how a large percentage of landfill waste is comprised of discarded roofing materials, and the range of expenses associated with the different kinds of roofs available to homeowners. He was polite, patient, and very knowledgeable. We went into the meeting hoping that the cost of a metal roof would somehow match up with the amount of money we felt we had available to put a new roof on our house. Overall, we determined that the work being done and the length of time we could expect the roof to last would far outweigh the expense in the long run. Especially since a metal roof can last 50 years, but you can expect to put a composition roof on several times in that time-frame. Our materials were delivered in early December and a few days later we met the work crew. They were friendly, considerate, and seemed well trained to complete the job. Unfortunately, we started having extreme weather conditions, like deep freezes one week and heavy rains the following week. Both of those situations caused the job to be delayed, both due to the safety of the crew and to keep the roof conditions as ideal as possible. We are now almost 3 months post install and are quite happy with the end result. We are pleased with our color choice and plan to paint our house this summer with a coordinating color to complement the roof. Thank you Interlock!
“No Worries”, may be an “in” thing to say now days, but for us it is a reality for the next 50 years! This summer, we didn’t worry about the bottle rockets landing on our roof. This fall, we won’t worry about the shingles blowing off in the next 60 plus mile an hour wind. This winter we won’t worry about the snow. And in the spring, we won’t worry about the moss growing on on our roof. If you are thinking you want a roof like ours, no worries about the salesman pressuring into something you don’t want. They were very professional and nice. Everything they promised was delivered exactly as they promised. You will also have no worries when it comes to the installation, as they too were very professional and left the yard just as they had found it. No worries also when it comes to our carbon footprint, as our existing roof is still on our roof and not in a landfill and when the day comes to replace this roof it is recyclable. They really should rename the Interlock Roofing to No Worries Roofing. “No Worries” in Bremerton
We are DELIGHTED with our new roof! The day after it was completed, we had a windstorm. It was so wonderful to wake up knowing there would be no shingles in the yard or loose shingles on the roof. And it is BEAUTIFUL! We see lots of people stopping to gaze at it. Our home truly looks like a cottage now. We cannot thank you enough for the superb product and the exceptional installers. Thanks again.
I have had this roof for almost 7 years, and I am still extremely happy!
Vlad and John are great – caring, kind, courteous, polite – they truly care about the job they do. Give them a raise.
Workmanship exceeded our expectations. They had to do a lot of extra unanticipated work and stayed late into the night to complete it. The crew was great!

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Pleasant Beach
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Pleasant Beach, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Pleasant Beach.
How does a metal roof handle the snow and ice we get in Pleasant Beach?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice naturally due to the smooth, interlocking panel design and low friction surface — a major advantage in Kitsap County's ~33 cm annual snowfall and 21 freeze-thaw days per year. The four-way interlocking aluminum panels resist the expansion and contraction cycles that crack asphalt shingles during repeated thawing. Optional snow guards can be installed if you want to control where snow slides off. Because aluminum's oxide layer self-heals when scratched by ice movement, the coating stays intact through years of seasonal stress that would expose steel roofing to rust.
Does Interlock metal roofing leak in heavy rain?
No. The four-way interlocking panel design creates a water-tight seal even during Pleasant Beach's ~1280 mm annual rainfall — more than double many US cities. Each panel locks firmly to its neighbors on all four sides, and water simply sheets off the smooth aluminum surface. Installation over a solid deck with underlayment (which we do on nearly all jobs) provides the same leak protection as asphalt roofing, with the added benefit that aluminum itself cannot rot or absorb moisture the way wood or asphalt does. Your roof stays dry because the material is inherently moisture-resistant, not just because of fasteners.
Will a metal roof hold up in Pleasant Beach's windstorms?
Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification — well beyond Kitsap County's typical wind gusts of around 101 km/h. The interlocking grip between panels distributes wind load across the entire roof plane rather than relying on fasteners alone, which is why UL testing and ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1790 document their resilience. During the Pacific Northwest's typical winter wind events, your roof remains secure because the panels physically cannot separate once locked together.
What happens if hail damages a metal roof in this area?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating — the highest available — meaning it resists hail the size of tennis balls, and the Guardian Warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. In a region prone to spring hail, that protection translates to zero insurance claims for impact damage in most cases. Many homeowners report that insurers offer modest premium discounts for Class 4 impact-rated roofing, which can offset part of your installation cost over time. Your roof will outlast the warranty claim window itself.
Can a metal roof actually reduce cooling costs in Washington?
Metal roofing with energy-efficient colors reflects solar heat rather than absorbing it like asphalt shingles do. Interlock's reflective coatings achieve initial solar reflectance up to 0.55 and thermal emissivity of 0.84, which means even on Pleasant Beach's ~2931 annual sunshine hours, the roof stays cooler and transfers less heat into your home. Over a summer cooling season, this reduces air-conditioning run time, lowering energy costs. The benefit compounds in a mild maritime climate — any reduction in cooling load saves money year-round when you're not heating or cooling to extremes.
Why does aluminum roofing not rust, and why does that matter here?
Aluminum contains no iron — it is chemically incapable of rusting. Instead, when exposed to air, aluminum develops a microscopically thin oxide layer that self-heals when scratched or damaged, continuing to protect the metal beneath. In Kitsap County's salt-air coastal environment and high rainfall (~1280 mm annually), this self-healing oxide is far more durable than steel roofing, which oxidizes continuously and requires constant coating maintenance. Interlock's roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) combined with the Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides creates multi-layer corrosion resistance that outlasts the home itself.
How long does an Interlock metal roof really last, and what does the warranty cover?
The Guardian Warranty provides a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty to the original owner — covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance with zero depreciation. For the second owner, the warranty transfers once and lasts 50 years from completion. With aluminum's self-healing oxide layer and a 30-year coating warranty (ASTM D4214 and D2244 measured), real-world roofs installed in the 1990s are still performing. In Pleasant Beach's freeze-thaw climate with 21 annual cycles, the aluminum's dimensional stability means no cracking like asphalt or wood roofing would experience.
Can my home's structure handle a metal roof, or do I need reinforcement?
No structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock aluminum roofing is extraordinarily light — the Mediterranean Tile profile, for example, installs at ~0.59 lb/sq ft, making it about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. This means the metal roof can install directly over most existing roof structures without any costly upgrades. Even homes with older framing that might not support traditional slate or tile roofing can upgrade to Interlock's interlocking panels. The lightweight design also reduces stress on rafters and support beams, extending their lifespan — another long-term benefit in a maritime climate where moisture and age can weaken structural wood.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need compared to asphalt or wood shingles?
Metal roofing requires far less maintenance than asphalt or wood. Asphalt shingles degrade from UV exposure, moss grows readily in Kitsap County's wet climate, and wood shakes split or rot — all requiring treatment or replacement. Interlock's aluminum and Alunar fluorocarbon finish resist moss, mildew, and UV damage, verified by CALGreen standards for reduced maintenance. A simple annual gutter cleaning and occasional inspection for debris are sufficient. The aluminum oxide layer self-heals from scratches, and the 30-year coating warranty protects against chalking and fading. In a region with ~1280 mm rain and 21 freeze-thaw days annually, the material's passive durability is a real time and money saver.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Pleasant Beach, and how experienced are they?
Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. serves Pleasant Beach and the surrounding Kitsap County area, with roots in the region dating back to 1997. They understand local weather patterns — the ~33 cm annual snow, ~1280 mm rainfall, and typical 101 km/h wind gusts — and install accordingly. The company also manages the current regional promotion: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027, or 10% off installation. Because they are the manufacturer's local installer (Interlock is made in Delta, BC since 1998), they bring direct expertise and can source any profile, color, or accessory without middlemen delays.
