What our customers are saying:
Your home is your greatest investment, sheltering you from the storms. Don’t nickel and dime yourself when choosing a roof, you get what you pay for. We chose Interlock aluminum roofing for our house, and are totally pleased with it. Aluminum doesn’t rust period. The current rage of steel roofing is a racket preying on uninformed consumers who want something for next to nothing. Steel roofs are coated to prevent rust. However, once these coatings wear off rust sets in. I have personally seen an 18 year-old steel roof with significant rusting after the coating was gone. Do yourself a favor, get an Interlock aluminum roof. Dean Landers 5 star review June 9/2026 Janesville WI
I had Interlock put on a beautiful red slate roof 17 years ago.The roof still looks beautiful. 5 years ago, I had them also re-roof my garage with the same type of slate. The roofs look gorgeous and I have no maintenance whatsoever.I get complements all the time. The guy whom I contracted with was named "Tim' but has since died. He was a really nice guy. Back in 2009, the roof was much cheaper. ( I actually paid more for the garage 5 years ago!) I am extremely happy with the roofs. The guys did a wonderful job, replacing rotted boards where necessary. They also told me about very cheap gutters I could buy at Menards instead of those ridiculously - priced "special" gutter systems. I bought them and they placed them on my buildings. This home will go to my daughter one day; I do not want her to have to lift a finger. Note that I had an asphalt roof previously. It lasted only 12 years. The shingles curled up under the sun and cracked. They looked terrible. I can honestly say that these metals roofs by Interlock are very much worth what you pay for them. They will last a lifetime with almost no maintenance. Instead of replacing a roof every 15 years and paying lots for asphalt or fiberglass, their metal roofs last very long and you will never have to re- roof again.
Our experience with having our Interlock roof installed was exceptional. It was installed during the hottest days of the year, and none of our neighbors could believe the installers were working so hard during the hot, muggy weather. They finished several days ahead of schedule and left the yard clean and neat, even after a complete tear-off of three layers of roofing. One day during the installation, we had a rain storm, and the installers all took shelter in their vehicles. I noticed that we had a leak in a spot that had clearly had leaks before we bought the house. When I pointed it out to the installers, they went up the ladder in the pouring rain, found the cause of the problem (which, again, was a pre-existing problem, not one due to the Interlock installation) and fixed it on the spot. The service was exceptional.
We purchased our roof in 2009 and as you can see from the pictures taken in May of 2017, our roof looks as new as the day we bought it. Here are the things we have noticed most about our Interlock Lifetime Roof over the last 8 years. It keeps our house much cooler in the summer than the asphalt roof we used to have. It really sheds snow, and the snow guards work great. We never need to use a snow rake. We love the durability and the curb appeal. Greg Weber our representative, who we were enthused to learn, is still with the company. When we saw him in 2009 he laid out all the variables in a professional way and our Interlock Roof has lived up to all of our expectations and promises he made. All companies promise results, service, and quality. Interlock delivers.
The installation was super smooth. Every installer was courteous and professional. We get lots of compliments, and people stop by all the time to admire it. One of the biggest misconceptions about metal roofing is people think it’s loud. Our Interlock roof is very silent. The only way I know if it’s raining is if I look out a window. Also, the snow just slides off. We are also in a wind tunnel area, and we have never lost an Interlock shingle, and we have had the roof for many years. We were so pleased with our Interlock roof that we put the same roof on our lake home in northern Wisconsin. We get a lot more snow up there and the Interlock’s snow-shedding performance capabilities are second to none on that roof, too!
First off, the installation crew was great! They worked very hard, took short breaks, and completed the job very efficiently. Greg Weber, our sales representative, told us an Interlock Roof was more energy efficient than asphalt, and one of the major things we noticed over the years is how much cooler our home office upstairs is in the summertime and warmer it is in the wintertime. It’s a dramatic difference from our old asphalt roof. We have had a few neighbors even question why we invested more in an Interlock roof than a typical asphalt roof, and we always smile and say, “Everybody complains about spending money. Do you want to complain about it once or multiple times, and do you want to be all in to have the best, or not in, and hope for the best.” Thank you, Interlock!
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems, The installation was terrific. Jessie and his crew were very nice, polite, and clean and worked together like a well-oiled machine. If I was to have work done on my home for any type of project, this is the team I would recommend and would want to work on my house. Greg Weber, my sales representative, answered all my questions, set the proper expectations, and over delivered in every aspect. We had a major rainstorm shortly after the installation, and we noticed no difference in sound at all. Our Interlock roof is the talk of the neighborhood.
Dear Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems: We purchased our Interlock Lifetime Roof in June 2014. We are very happy with the look, durability of the material, and finish. After a snowfall, the heat of the sun will warm the roof and allow the snow to shed from the roof. We have a great sense of security, knowing it can withstand higher winds than conventional asphalt. In fact, our neighbors lost many shingles in the last major wind storm, and our Interlock roof proved to be the high wind resistance product it is with all shingles intact. We love the fact it’s more reliable and has peace of mind knowing it has lots of longevity and will look brand new not only now but down the road. We also received a discount on our homeowner’s insurance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our sales representative Greg Weber, the company, the service, and the product.
We have been do-it-yourselfer homeowners our whole lives. We are very handy and capable when it comes to home improvements and appreciate craftsmanship and quality. And that’s what Interlock Lifetime Roofing Systems provided us with our roof. Craftsmanship and quality. Plus, durability, beauty, and experience from a company that manufactures and certify install its own product. That is something, a company that makes its own product, that was very important to us, and no other company in our market offered that, except Interlock. Another thing that was important was we didn’t want to have to deal with rust because many steel metal roofs look good new but look old and hideous down the road because of fading and rusting. Interlock is aluminum. So, it won’t rust, and it achieves and exceeds the highest rating of hail resistance. So, it’s like we said earlier – super durable! Jessie and his crew were super and hard working. We were amazed by their work ethic. That’s something that’s becoming rare nowadays. Also, we were told by a competitor that Greg Weber and Interlock would be high-pressure. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Greg was polite, personable, and knowledgeable and helped us sift through the “lesser quality, cheaper installation, sales gimmicky and overly aggressive” competitors. He provided us with a detailed range of the competition by laying out all the variables so we could make an intelligent comparison and decision. Greg helped save us a lot of time from all the other companies in our market selling what everyone else is selling or just selling stuff and making promises they can’t keep. All the asphalt guys want you to believe that their products will last, and all the steel companies want you to believe their products won’t rust, and everybody knows… That’s Just Not True! Interlock has proven itself for over four decades. That’s Impressive. That’s why we went with them, Jessie and Greg.
In March 2017 we had an Interlock Lifetime Roof installed. Greg Weber, the salesman, was not pushy. We were very impressed with his salesmanship and the product. He also offered to have the Interlock product put on our wishing well in the front yard. That was something we really appreciated. The clean-up was excellent! Many neighbors and people who " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by the house have noticed the roof and asked a lot of questions. We have gotten lots of compliments!
We visited the booth Interlock had at the Remodelling Show at State Fair Park. We got a lot of excellent information there and left our number for a call-back. We did receive the call back promptly and got an appointment right away. The estimator showed up on time and thoroughly explained the process, the product choices and the costs. We signed up for a new metal roof that evening because the advantages were so many, and the expense over time was not much different from regular shingles. This metal roof will probably outlive us! The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. The actual work didn’t start for about two months because the company was very busy, but removing the old layers of shingles was the first process. This was done in a day, and the waterproofing membrane went on. The roofing materials were supposed to be delivered in a couple of days, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Instead, a heavy, rainy week intervened, and we did get water in our kitchen. It took a while to get someone to call me back and that was frustrating because it damaged our kitchen ceiling. Ultimately, though, I did get a call, and the work was expedited to the following day. The roofers did the entire installation in one day and did a great job. The roof is beautiful, and we have many people stopping and looking at the wonderful work and superior materials. I know the company will honor their promise to pay for the damage to the kitchen. Once that is done, all is well. The experience wasn’t perfect, but it was as close as mother nature and shipping glitches allowed.
The Interlock crew was able to take some extra time to coordinate with another contractor for solar installation. As a result, the final the result looks great and very functional. The materials used are very high quality, and they worked efficiently and cleaned up when finished.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Pike Creek
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Pike Creek, Wisconsin. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Pike Creek.
How does a metal roof handle Pike Creek's heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?
Aluminum sheds snow reliably because the smooth, hard surface prevents ice dams that trap meltwater on asphalt roofs. Pike Creek receives about 165 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 67 freeze-thaw days per year—exactly the conditions where ice dams cause leaks and damage. The four-way interlocking panels create a unified, rigid surface that won't flex or warp as temperatures cycle between freezing and thaw. Optional snow guards can be installed if you want to control snow release from steeper pitches. The aluminum expands and contracts uniformly with temperature swings, so it stays weathertight year after year without the cracking or curling that affects asphalt over decades.
Why won't an aluminum metal roof rust in Wisconsin winters?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes and creates rust. Instead, a microscopically thin oxide layer forms on the aluminum surface and actually self-heals when scratched or damaged, sealing the metal beneath. Pike Creek's 632 mm of annual rainfall and freeze cycles can degrade other roofing materials, but they won't corrode aluminum. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon coating (warranted 30 years against chalking and fading) adds an extra barrier, keeping the aluminum pristine underneath. This is why Interlock panels have been installed successfully from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations since 1998—the material itself is immune to the moisture and temperature swings your climate throws at it.
Will a metal roof withstand Pike Creek's wind gusts?
Yes. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph, well beyond Pike Creek's typical wind gusts around 105 km/h (65 mph). The interlocking design means each panel locks mechanically to its neighbors on all four edges—there's no reliance on fasteners alone to hold the roof in a gust. The system has been field-tested in coastal regions and severe-weather zones since 2001, when the local installer began serving this area. Even in rare wind events that exceed average gusts, the overlap and clip design distributes load across the entire roof plane rather than concentrating stress at fastener points. This design redundancy is why the warranty covers wind resistance specifically and why metal roofs rarely blow off, whereas asphalt shingles can lift and tear.
Does Interlock's metal roof hold up in hail, and can I get an insurance discount?
The roof has a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Wisconsin's hail season can produce sudden, damaging storms, and homeowners often file claims for shingle damage that metal roofs simply don't incur. Because aluminum won't dent permanently and the rating is third-party verified, many insurers recognize the durability and may offer lower premiums; contact your agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 documentation to ask. The non-combustible aluminum also qualifies for Class A fire rating, which some policies reward. Over the 50-year lifespan of an Interlock roof, hail events that would trigger multiple asphalt shingle replacements won't require roof work at all.
Will a metal roof help lower my energy bills in Wisconsin?
Yes. Interlock offers energy-efficient colors with thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and initial solar reflectance up to 0.55, meaning the roof bounces heat back into the sky rather than absorbing it like dark asphalt. Pike Creek averages about 2939 sunshine hours per year—enough that a reflective metal roof meaningfully reduces cooling load in summer months. The cooler surface temperature also slows thermal expansion cycles that stress roofing materials during the roughly 67 annual freeze-thaw days. While Wisconsin's heating season is longer than the cooling season, every degree of summer heat rejected reduces air-conditioning run time and your electric bill. The Cool Roof Rating Council rating confirms the reflectivity is independent-verified, so you're not relying on marketing claims—actual heat rejection is measured and published.
What's the actual lifespan of an Interlock metal roof, and what does the warranty cover?
The Guardian lifetime limited warranty covers rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance for the original owner at no dollar limit—it's non-prorated, meaning you don't pay a percentage if you file a claim in year 25. If you sell, the next owner receives a one-time transferable 50-year term from completion, so your buyers get three decades of protection too. In practice, aluminum roofs last 50+ years because the material doesn't degrade like asphalt (which hardens and becomes brittle) or wood (which splits and rots). Pike Creek's 165 cm of snow, 632 mm rain, and 67 freeze-thaw days annually are stresses that would shorten an asphalt roof's life; aluminum actually improves with age as the oxide layer hardens. This is why Interlock calls it your last roof—it outlasts the structure in many cases.
Do I need to reinforce my roof structure before installing Interlock metal roofing?
No structural reinforcement is needed. The Interlock Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, and Standing Seam profiles install at roughly 0.41 to 0.58 lb/sq ft, and the Mediterranean Tile profile—despite its heavy appearance—weighs about 0.59 lb/sq ft, roughly 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. Most Pike Creek homes can accommodate this weight immediately. Because aluminum is so light, Interlock panels can install directly over your existing asphalt shingles without additional framing, which saves thousands in labor and disposal costs. The lightweight design also means less stress on flashings, gutters, and fasteners during the 105 km/h wind gusts and snow loads (165 cm annually) your climate delivers. This is why homeowners often avoid expensive structural upgrades that come with traditional tile or slate—the metal panels give you the look without the burden.
Is a metal roof worth the cost compared to replacing asphalt shingles every 15–20 years?
Over 50 years, metal typically costs less because you buy it once and never replace it, while asphalt requires 2–3 full replacement cycles at today's prices. An asphalt roof also requires regular maintenance (debris removal, algae treatment) and fails earlier in harsh climates—Pike Creek's 165 cm snow, 632 mm rain, and 67 freeze-thaw days accelerate deterioration. Metal roofs don't need those interventions. The non-prorated Guardian warranty means repair costs are covered throughout your ownership, eliminating unexpected expense. Insurance may discount premiums for Class 4 hail and Class A fire ratings. Resale value typically increases because buyers avoid the headache of replacing a failing asphalt roof. When you calculate material plus labor plus the time and stress of dealing with leaks and replacements, one Interlock roof over a lifetime beats the cumulative cost and hassle of asphalt.
How does an aluminum metal roof compare environmentally to asphalt shingles?
Interlock aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable; at the end of its 50+ year lifespan, the material retains its value and enters recycling streams as valuable aluminum. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, end up in landfills by the millions of tons annually and cannot be recycled at scale. Tear-off disposal fees alone cost hundreds to thousands of dollars per roof, all destined for waste. Because Interlock can install over existing shingles, you avoid that tear-off entirely on a first installation. Pike Creek residents who've maintained their roofs through 165 cm snowfall and 632 mm rainfall annually will appreciate that one aluminum roof eliminates the environmental cost of multiple asphalt replacements over 50 years. Interlock is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance, which means fewer chemical treatments and less water runoff from roof cleaning compared to asphalt.
Can Interlock install a new metal roof over my existing shingles, and how long does it take?
Yes, the lightweight aluminum panels (0.41–0.59 lb/sq ft) install directly over most existing asphalt roofs without tear-off, which saves time and disposal costs. Installation timeline depends on roof size and complexity, but a typical residential project takes 2–5 days with a trained crew. Because panels are lightweight and the four-way interlocking design simplifies layout, labor is faster than installing heavy tile or slate. The local Interlock installer has served the region since 2001 and can assess your specific roof during a consultation. Underlayment and flashing are installed to ICC-ES ESR-1790 specifications (reissued 2025 for current building codes), ensuring the roof will handle Pike Creek's snow load, wind gusts up to 105 km/h, and annual rainfall without leakage. The crew will walk you through the timeline and minimize disruption to your home.
