What our customers are saying:
From the start to finish, we loved their work and communication. There were no nails, metal bits, or excessive noise. They listened to all questions and addressed our concerns. They were careful to make no promise of a start date that they could not fulfill. The rain this year made it hard to predict! I would do a commercial for them free to endorse their work and product!
Hi Peter, we wanted to convey to you how much we love our new Interlock roof! Several of our neighbors and friends have said they do, too! We love the look of it, and are so impressed with how beautifully finished it is integrated into the flashing materials. The Interlock scheduling staff was great to work with, and we are so happy with Jessie and his Interlock installation team. They are true craftsmen, and part artists! We loved how they treated our home with respect, and were always willing to address any questions we had. We watched as they worked on items until they had them just right; when we asked about some areas of concern multiple members of the installation team converged on the item and came down to explain and even illustrate with photographs how it was addressed. Again, we couldn't be happier and are enjoying our Interlock roof!
To: Peter Brylinke My Interlock Shake style system was installed in June of 2019. We have now had it for an entire year and experienced the roof through all season, climate and weather conditions. Not only do we value the new look of our roof but the performance of the new roof has been exceptional. In the winter we have seen the snow pile up on it only to slide off as soon as the sun warms it enough. We have noticed a difference in the summers also with a cooler house. The roof has met all of our expectations and we are extremely happy with our decision to install this roof. Last summer when the workers were working on the roof, we were so pleased with the time and effort the workmen put into making sure all aspects of our roof were taken care of. They were courteous, hard working, respectful and considerate of our needs as homeowners. Carlos was instrumental in making sure that we were happy with every aspect of the work that was being done. In closing, we are very impressed with our roof and have recommended this same system to many people we know and many people who just " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">walk by and ask about it. We feel that we have made a great decision in putting this system on our home. ">" alt="Minneapolis MN 55409 Interlock Roof" width="2560" height="1920" />
Dear Peter, Thank you for your help with the installation and warranty transfer of our interlock roof. We have since sold our house and had good feedback about our roof from potential buyers. Neighbors loved our new roof and we had people drive by and actually snap pictures of it! You were right that the new roof would help sell our home! Thanks for all your help!
Dear Peter, I had Interlock Roofing install my black slate roof in the fall one year ago, and I couldn’t be happier! My roof still looks like new, and really stands out in my neighborhood. My old asphalt shingle roof was leaking. I had to shovel it every time it snowed because of " title="ice dams" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">ice dams in my older 1950’s house. I have had no issues at all with my new Interlock roof. It was so nice only to have to shovel my driveway this winter and not worry about snow on the roof. It all just slid off in only a few days after each snowfall. Also, the team that you had out to install my roof was exceptional. I was very impressed with the quality of the team that installed my roof. They were all very polite and worked well together as a team. They worked very hard, and got the job done, and completed in less than three days. I’ve never had to have anyone come back to fix or touch anything up. Thank you for the great job the Interlock team did to replace my roof. I would recommend Interlock to anyone needing a new roof without hesitation!
Dear Peter, We remain delighted with our new Interlock roof. It’s now been through 2 Minnesota winters, a hailstorm, and several rain deluges and is still the top-notch performer that you said it would be. Thank you for your and Interlock’s integrity throughout the sale, installation, and service of our roofing project. We remain convinced that Interlock is indeed “the Midwest’s Best Roof”.
Dear Peter, I Wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my new Interlock roof. It looks terrific, and I am anticipating that I will never have to roof rake my roof again now that your product has been installed. My house is small, a 3-bedroom rambler, but the visual impact the Interlock roof has added makes it look like a castle! All of the contact I have had with your personnel, from yourself to the lead foreman on the job and the men doing the install was pleasant and professional. The cleanup after the job was done was great and it only took 1-1/2 days for a complete tear-off to complete the installation. Please use this letter as a personal recommendation for your company and your product.
Dear Peter, Installing the Interlock roof on our home has completely transformed and improved our home’s appearance. The installation of the roof along with the greatly improved flashings have made a great difference. Because of that, our stucco was able to match our home so we look like new. An improvement I didn’t expect was the change in temperature of our second floor. Usually unbearable " data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">hot on a 90-degree day. It’s now 10-15 degree cooler and livable. We also received a sizeable discount on our homeowners’ insurance because of the roof’s resistance to fire. We’re sure that having to “Never roof again” will help us sell our house should that be necessary. Thank you from two satisfied customers.
My Interlock ">Shake Style Roof in Aged Copper color was installed between December 21st and December 31st. Snow has covered most of the house and garage since it was installed, so I haven’t been able to enjoy the new look yet, but during the installation and before the snow it was obvious it I going to look great. I am glad I had them put Interlock ">Shakes on my 8ft x 16ft hip-roofed storage shed as well. There are a lot of huge oak trees close to my house and they had caused the heavy cedar hand-split shakes to deteriorate from moss growing on them. I knew I needed a roof that would not have this problem in the future. I am a retired mechanical engineer and had built the house and garage myself. I studied the specs on steel, stone coated steel and several aluminum style shakes, before finally settling on the Interlock product. I believe it will prove to be a good choice. I was very impressed with the quality and design of all the types of flashings, ridge vent, and fasteners that were expertly installed. I truly expect this roof to last and look great for generations. I was also very impressed with the crew who did the work under Juan and Carlos’ direction. They worked tirelessly in some difficult weather conditions and short daylight hours. A number of minor changes were made on the fly with gutters, snow guards and roof penetrations and they were all executed precisely. They were very careful in making sure the roofs were protected overnight, on weekends and during the Christmas holiday. They did a great job of cleaning up the difficult mess made removing the decayed shakes. I guess I won’t know for sure if there are any problems until we get some heavy rains in the spring and summer, but as of now, I would be happy to show the roof and talk to any prospective clients that are considering the Interlock product.
I love my new roof. It looks great and I know the house is in better shape without the heavy deteriorating asphalt shingles. My house is the only one on the block with no snow on the roof, and I can't wait to hear it in the rain
We are delighted with the workmanship and quality of our new roof. It has exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend an Interlock Roof to anyone looking to replace an old roof.
Dear Interlock Roofing, We are writing to share with you our experience with you, your employees, and the new roof. We built a brand new home and moved in January 1997. Within a few years, we were experiencing shingles that were curling and being removed by the wind. By the summer of 2007, it was imperative that we re-roof our home. Fortunately, we saw an ad in the local paper for your product. Below are just a few of the benefits we appreciate with the aluminum interlocking roofing shingles: The service and attention to our roofing project by Scott Bohnen from signing the contract to follow-up after the installation. The fact that the workforce followed safety procedures by wearing safety gear (we have a steep roof). Daily attention to our project until it was completed, about one week in total. Aesthetically pleasing roof, with numerous comments by friends and neighbors and those just passing by. EXCELLENT CURB APPEAL! The roof is quieter during rain storms than with regular asphalt shingles. We often have to verify that it is raining by visually looking or going outside. The roof reflects light so that we have experienced reduced air conditioning costs in the summer. In the winter, the heating bill is reduced as well and that may be in part to the aluminum shingle along with the polypropylene lining between the old and new shingles. No matter the reason, our heating and cooling bills are reduced. The fact that the roof is aluminum and it can be recycled at the end of its life expectancy. The 50-year, one time transferable, warranty. We could go on and on but we are very pleased with our roof and thankful that we will never have to re-roof again. Thank you.

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Warren Falls
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Warren Falls, Minnesota. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Warren Falls.
How does a metal roof handle Warren Falls' heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?
Aluminum's smooth surface sheds snow and ice far better than asphalt, reducing ice dam risk during Warren Falls' typical 92 cm of annual snowfall and 81 freeze-thaw days. The four-way interlocking panels lock together tightly, preventing water infiltration even when snow melts and refreezes. Unlike asphalt shingles, which degrade under repeated freeze-thaw stress, aluminum won't crack or curl—the oxide layer self-heals when scratched. Snow guards can be added if you prefer snow retention for aesthetic or avalanche-prevention reasons.
Why won't an aluminum metal roof rust in Minnesota's wet climate?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that causes rust in steel. Instead, aluminum forms a transparent oxide layer that actually protects the metal beneath; if scratched, this layer self-heals automatically. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum (ASTM B209) with a Alunar® 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish on both sides, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. With Warren Falls averaging 502 mm of annual rainfall and moisture-rich winters, this corrosion immunity means your roof stays structurally sound for decades.
Will freeze-thaw cycling in Minnesota damage an aluminum metal roof?
No. Aluminum expands and contracts uniformly with temperature swings, and the interlocking panel design accommodates this movement without stress. During Warren Falls' 81 annual freeze-thaw days, asphalt shingles absorb moisture, expand, and crack; wood shakes split and curl; but aluminum remains stable. The material has been installed and proven in harsh freeze-thaw climates from coastal Canada to research stations in Antarctica since 1998. The Guardian warranty covers splitting, cracking, and curling—conditions that simply don't occur with aluminum in this climate.
Can a metal roof handle Warren Falls' winter gusts and storms?
Yes. The four-way interlocking panels resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h) when installed to specification—well above Warren Falls' typical gusts of 95 km/h. Each panel locks securely to its neighbors in all four directions, distributing wind load across the entire roof rather than stressing individual fasteners. The warranty covers wind resistance at that 120 mph threshold, and the ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790, reissued 2025) confirms compliance with current IBC and IRC wind requirements. Winter storms in this region won't lift, shift, or separate the panels.
Does a metal roof reduce hail damage and insurance costs in Minnesota?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That rating often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts because metal roofs don't dent or crack from hail the way asphalt, wood, or tile do. Minnesota's hail season can be severe, making impact resistance valuable. Contact your insurance agent with the UL 2218 Class 4 specification; many carriers recognize this as a significant risk reduction and adjust premiums accordingly. The roof's durability translates directly to lower claim frequency.
Will an Interlock metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?
energy-efficient colors with thermal emissivity of 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) reflect the heat that asphalt absorbs, reducing attic temperature and cooling load. While Warren Falls averages 3,186 sunshine hours annually and cooler summers than southern Minnesota, reflective roofing still lowers peak indoor temperatures and reduces air conditioning runtime. The Cool Roof Rating Council certification confirms this performance independently. Over 30+ years, the energy savings compound—another reason Interlock becomes the last roof you install.
What warranty does Interlock offer, and how long will the roof actually last?
The Guardian warranty is lifetime limited and non-prorated for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance at no cost. It's transferable once, giving the next owner 50 years of coverage from completion. Interlock has been manufactured since 1998; panels installed in that era are still protecting homes today. With Warren Falls' 92 cm annual snow and 81 freeze-thaw days, the aluminum's immunity to rust and the coating's 30-year fade warranty ensure decades of reliable performance. This is genuinely the last roof you'll buy.
How much maintenance does an Interlock metal roof need compared to asphalt or wood?
Almost none. Asphalt shingles in Warren Falls' freeze-thaw climate require frequent inspection for curl, crack, and moss; wood shakes need regular staining and rot prevention; but aluminum won't rot, split, or degrade. Interlock's profiles shed debris naturally, and the Alunar® finish resists chalking and fading for 30 years (ASTM D4214 / D2244). Occasional gutter cleaning and visual inspection are sufficient. No sealing, no staining, no replacement of individual shingles. With 502 mm of annual rainfall, you'll appreciate a roof that simply doesn't need annual maintenance cycles.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Warren Falls, and how long have they been doing this?
Interlock Metal Roofing, the manufacturer and local installer, has served the Warren Falls region since 2001. The same company that engineered and produces the panels also handles installation, ensuring quality control and warranty support from a single trusted source. With 20+ years of experience in Wright County's climate—heavy snow, freeze-thaw stress, and variable winds—the installer understands local conditions and building codes intimately. You're working with specialists who know Interlock panels inside and out and stand behind every job.
Is an aluminum metal roof more sustainable than asphalt shingles?
Significantly. Aluminum is approximately 95% recyclable; Interlock panels can be reclaimed and reprocessed indefinitely without loss of properties. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, end up in landfills by the millions every year—tear-off debris alone burdens Warren Falls' waste streams. Because Interlock lasts 50+ years versus asphalt's 15–25 year lifespan, you eliminate multiple tear-off cycles over a home's life. The lightweight design also reduces transportation emissions compared to slate or tile. Choosing aluminum breaks the asphalt-to-landfill cycle and aligns with CALGreen sustainability standards.
