What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Davison
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Davison, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Davison.
How does a metal roof handle Davison's snow and ice buildup?
Metal roofs shed snow and ice far more effectively than asphalt because aluminum's smooth, hard surface resists adhesion—ice doesn't bond the way it does to shingle granules. Davison receives about 87 cm of snow annually, and the four-way interlocking panels are designed to move snow downward without trapping it in valleys like traditional roofs do. The lightweight aluminum (Shake profile at just 0.58 lb/sq ft) also means your structure won't bear the extra load of ice accumulation. You can add snow guards if you want controlled shedding, but many homeowners find the natural slide-off eliminates ice dam problems entirely during the area's typical 86 freeze-thaw cycles per year.
Will freeze-thaw cycling in Washington damage an aluminum metal roof?
No—aluminum's resistance to freeze-thaw damage is one of its core strengths. Unlike wood that cracks or asphalt that fractures, roofing-grade 3105-H24 aluminum alloy expands and contracts smoothly without splitting or curling. Davison experiences roughly 86 freeze-thaw days annually with mean temperatures around 9.8°C, creating constant expansion stress on traditional materials. Aluminum's oxide layer also self-heals when scratched, so micro-damage from ice movement doesn't initiate corrosion chains like it does on steel. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish (warranted 30 years) seals the surface, meaning neither salt air from coastal weather systems nor the repeated wet-dry cycles of a 821 mm rainfall year will compromise the material's integrity.
Can an aluminum metal roof rust in the Pacific Northwest?
Aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron—the element that oxidizes into rust. Instead, aluminum develops a transparent oxide layer that actually protects the metal underneath, and when that layer is scratched, it self-heals. This is why Interlock panels have been installed successfully from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations since 1998. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish applied to both sides of each panel adds a second protective barrier, which is especially valuable in wet climates like Davison that average 821 mm of rain yearly. Even if the coating were somehow compromised, the aluminum substrate itself cannot corrode the way steel or galvanized roofs do when exposed to moisture and freeze-thaw cycling.
Are four-way interlocking metal panels safe in high winds?
Yes—the four-way interlocking design locks panels together on all sides, creating a unified system that resists panel lift and edge flutter. Interlock metal roofing is warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification, and Davison's typical wind gusts reach about 107 km/h (66 mph), with rare extremes considerably below the warranty threshold. The UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating (the highest available) actually measures wind-driven debris as well as hail impact, so the system has proven performance in severe weather. Unlike asphalt shingles that can peel or curl in gusts, or standing-seam roofs that depend on fasteners, the interlocking geometry distributes wind load across the entire roof plane, making flutter and blow-off virtually impossible when fastened correctly.
Do I need to reinforce my roof structure for a metal roof?
No structural reinforcement is needed—in fact, aluminum's feather-light weight is one of its major advantages. The Slate profile installs at just 0.41 lb/sq ft, and even the heaviest option, the Mediterranean Tile, weighs only 0.59 lb/sq ft—roughly 96% lighter than traditional concrete or clay tile. Most existing roofs can support an Interlock metal roof directly over the current shingles, which also adds an extra insulation layer. Davison receives about 87 cm of snow per year, but because the metal roof sheds snow naturally and weighs so little, there's virtually no accumulation load concern. This is why installation costs far less than tearing off and replacing heavy tile, and why homeowners can often avoid the expense and disruption of structural upgrades entirely.
Will a metal roof reduce cooling costs in summer?
Yes, if you choose an energy-efficient color—these reflect rather than absorb the sun's heat, lowering roof surface temperatures and reducing heat transfer into your home. Interlock's rated colors achieve solar reflectance up to 0.55 (Aged Copper Penny) and thermal emissivity of 0.84, meaning they reflect the infrared radiation that asphalt shingles absorb and convert to heat. Davison receives about 2950 sunshine hours per year, so even in the Pacific Northwest's moderate climate, solar gain through the roof adds cooling load during warmer months. The Cool Roof Rating Council ratings on qualified colors document this performance, and homeowners often see measurable reductions in air-conditioning energy use. Unlike dark asphalt, which radiates that absorbed heat back into the attic, a reflective metal roof keeps heat where it belongs—outside.
What's the hail rating on a metal roof, and does it affect insurance?
Interlock metal roofing carries a UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Class 4 performance means the roof can sustain repeated impacts from 2-inch steel balls dropped from 20 feet without loss of impact resistance, so typical hail is handled easily. Many insurance companies recognize this superior rating and offer discounts on homeowners policies for Class 4 roofing, since the risk of weather-related claims drops dramatically. Although Davison's climate data doesn't flag severe hail as frequent, the long-term durability against any ice or debris impact—whether from storms, falling branches, or ladders—builds confidence that your roof will still be intact after decades. It's worth asking your agent if an upgrade to Class 4 qualifies you for a credit.
How much maintenance does a metal roof really need?
Far less than asphalt, wood, or tile. Metal roofing requires no granule replacement, no wood treatment, no tile regrouting, and no algae or moss removal like you'd do on other materials in a wet climate averaging 821 mm of rain per year. Occasional gutter cleaning and a simple rinse to remove dirt are all that's needed. The four-way interlocking panels shed debris naturally; there's no nesting or water pooling in valleys. The Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance and warranted 30 years against chalking and fading, so you're not repainting or recoating. After 87 cm of annual snow and 86 freeze-thaw cycles, asphalt roofs often show granule loss and cracking by year 15; an Interlock roof looks unchanged because aluminum doesn't crack, curl, or lose surface integrity with temperature cycling.
What's the real lifespan and warranty on this metal roof?
The Guardian Warranty provides a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty to the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It's transferable once, giving the next owner 50 years from completion, which is valuable for resale. Interlock has manufactured aluminum roofing since 1998 in Delta, BC, with installations ranging from coastal salt-air homes to Antarctic research stations, demonstrating performance across extreme climates far harsher than Davison's 9.8°C average and 107 km/h wind gusts. The 30-year coating warranty (ASTM D4214/D2244 tested) protects against chalk and fade, but the underlying aluminum's durability extends far beyond that. Unlike asphalt (15-20 year life) or composition shingles that degrade with freeze-thaw cycling, aluminum doesn't degrade—it's truly the last roof you'll buy.
