| Spec / Rating | Climate / Risk Factor + What It Solves |
|---|---|
| Wind resistance: 120+ mph (193+ kph) | Extreme wind, hurricanes, storm uplift: full interlocking attachment helps prevent blow-offs, edge lifting, and panel loss in high-gust events. |
| Fire rating: Class A (with proper assembly) | Wildfire, embers, radiant heat, chimney sparks: non-combustible roof assembly provides the highest residential fire protection rating. |
| Hail resistance: UL 2218 Class 4 | Hail and impact debris: highest impact classification; resists cracking, splitting, and surface loss common with asphalt under hail strikes. |

| Expected lifespan: 50+ years | Long-term durability across climates: avoids re-roof cycles typical of shorter-life materials, even in high-stress environments. |
| Warranty: Lifetime-Limited, non-prorated + 50-year transferable | Lifetime protection + resale value: guarantees long-term material confidence and transfers to future owners. |

What our customers are saying:
Thanks for a very positive roofing experience! Our new roof is so beautiful we’re thinking of charging a fee to all the gawking neighbors that stop by to admire it!!! This was fun, positive experience from start to finish. Our sales rep spent three hours at our home going over every possible detail with us. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. As you can see by the pictures we have a pretty basic roof. There was no tear off to do; still, our three installers were 80% done on the very first day! Everything was done and cleaned up to our satisfaction by the end of day two. Our installers were friendly, courteous and hard working. I watched them for a few minutes as they all worked like a finely tuned machine installing our roof in perfect rhythm. For us, Interlock meant that the third time was the charm. We’d tried to do business with two other companies. The first took a large amount of money as a down payment and gave absolutely no customer service for two months. We got our money back and started over. The second company gave an inaccurate bid. Needless to say, we entered into this contract with some trepidation. interlock is a fabulous company and we’d recommend them to anyone in the market for a new roof!
We are writing this letter to show our appreciation for the wonderful job that was done on our roof. From the date your company representative met with us in our home to the date of completion, words cannot express how completely satisfied we are with your company. We definitely wanted a quality roof and were very impressed by the representation that was given to us. The product you provide was enough for us to make our decision, however it was a huge plus not to have to deal with a pushy salesman and to have such polite, friendly and hard working men providing the service. It was a pleasure to have them around our home. The quality, craftsmanship and lifetime warranty of this roof far outweighs the increased costs over other roof systems. However, other roof systems don't come with lifetime warranties and many only last for 8 to 10 years. We may have paid a little more initially, but how wonderful it is to know we will never have to re-roof our home again. And in addition to all of the above, it looks so beautiful and has added so much style to our home. I never dreamed a roof could make such a difference. Again, Thank you so much and be sure to know we will highly recommend your company to all of our family and friends.
I am very pleased with the entire experience with Interlock Roofing. Ross did a fantastic job of showing me all of the options available, and explaining how Interlock is different from other roofing. This was not a hard sales pitch. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable a metal roof was. I had five other estimates for a traditional composite roof, and the price difference for a forever roof was negligible considering all the benefits. Next, the installation. These guys were amazing! Only two guys doing the demo and reroof, but very hard workers and did a fantastic job. It seems rare these days to find skilled tradesmen that take pride in their work, and these guys exceeded my expectations. I also took advantage of Interlock’s financing. Drew was very helpful and accommodating. The whole process was taken care of through Interlock, making it super convenient and great communication throughout. I will highly recommend:)
We just wanted to let you know how thoroughly-pleased we are with our new Interlock Roof. It is absolutely beautiful and we have had a lot of people stopping as they walk or drive by to admire how nice it looks. Everything progressed on the job exactly as you had shared with us when we signed the contract. There were no surprises. From the beginning when we got the call to set up a start date, to the final clean up and retrieval of the waste bin everything was handled so professionally. Viktor and Alex were a dream to work with-so-pleasant and each day everything was left so tidy that it would have been hard for guests to tell that we were in the middle of a re-roofing job. We will highly recommend your product and doing business with such a professional and obviously well run company.
I have already recommended them. Those guys were amazing. Peter, Victor, and the other installation guys were just unbelievable. It is a great company, and they did a great job with my roof. I get compliments all the time. It was a wonderful experience. They did a wonderful job on the house. It looks fantastic.
Interlock Roofing is amazing. From the first day I met their salesman to the day they started work on our barn and house. They were very easy to talk to and express our concern about how important it was to keep our hay safe from rain and the ground around the barn safe for the animals. They were fast exceptionally clean and so much fun to get to know. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone who wants to have a roof that will last a life time. Thank you for an amazing job and two beautiful roofs!
My wife and I want to express our complete satisfaction with the "Aged Copper" roof your firm installed on our "Barn-house" and gazebo. The two roofs have a high quality appearance and they enhance the looks of the property. We are looking forward to many years of satisfaction. We are now planning to re-paint the house with a color to better blend with the roof. The work performed by your installers was outstanding. They were friendly and very professional. They worked efficiently and energetically, and it was obvious they had the skills to do the job. Thank you for being such an excellent firm.
My husband and I would like to thank you for coming to our residence and explaining your product and all of its advantages. We were very impressed at this time and excited to start the beautification process of our home, which has been in my husband’s family for 5 generations now. It has undergone many remodels, upgrades, and changes throughout the years with a lot of help from friends and family. We will be celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The new roof is definitely a wonderful way to do so! The whole Interlock family was friendly and extremely easy to work with from the beginning of this process to the end. The job was started on time and finished when promised. We are very pleased with how smoothly the project went and very thankful that we were not the ones on top of the house!
HELLO! I am Gerry from Olympia, Washington. A few years ago, I had my re-roofing done by INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for my house here in Olympia. I would like to thank the INTERLOCK ROOFING SYSTEM for the best, beautiful metal roof I ever had; the color choice never changed in spite of the weather condition here in Washington. So, if you want your home to deserving a thorough, keen, professional touch, quality, and professionalism, I would highly recommend INTERLOCK LIFETIME ROOFING SYSTEMS for your COMPLETE METAL ROOFING.
We both work for Nordstrom and have come to expect a certain level of customer service. Both Paul and Ross were exceptional in this regard. They were knowledgeable friendly and very thorough! I would highly recommend interlock for anyone looking into metal roof options.
The roof is absolutely beautiful and compliments our home. The work was fast and professional. Communication about scheduling. Clean up of job site. We absolutely love the roof.
We were extremely pleased with Interlock Roofing as our selection to install an aluminum roof on our house and two outbuildings. The installation team were extremely hard workers and were always courteous and conscientious and left our project very clean. We would highly recommend all of them to anyone interested in a new roof including Paul Wright and the administration staff. Ron and Joanne Quiring nothing

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Oaksdale
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Oaksdale, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Oaksdale.
Does metal roofing handle Oaksdale's snow and ice buildup?
Yes—Interlock's four-way interlocking panels shed snow and prevent ice dams far better than asphalt. Oaksdale receives about 112 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 89 freeze-thaw cycles per year, creating perfect conditions for ice damming. Metal's smooth surface and thermal properties minimize ice adhesion. Optional snow guards can hold snow on the roof during heavy loads (up to 435 mm of rain melt equivalent), then release it safely. The aluminum's light weight—the Slate profile installs at only 0.41 lb/sq ft—means your structure handles accumulated snow without reinforcement, unlike concrete tile.
Will freeze-thaw damage an aluminum metal roof in this climate?
No. Aluminum roofing is freeze-thaw proof because aluminum itself contains no iron and cannot rust, even as water cycles in and out of microcracks or seams. Oaksdale's roughly 89 annual freeze-thaw days will not degrade the material. The Alunar 70% PVDF coating, warranted 30 years against chalking, protects seams and fasteners further. Asphalt shingles, by contrast, absorb water; freezing expansion causes cracking within 10-15 years here. Your next roof will genuinely be your last.
Why does an aluminum roof not rust like steel roofing?
Aluminum roofing cannot rust because aluminum contains no iron; instead, it forms a self-healing oxide layer that protects the metal underneath. Even after 1997—when Interlock installed its first roofs in the Pacific Northwest—panels in coastal salt air remain rust-free. The Alunar coating applied to both sides of every panel adds a second barrier, especially valuable in wet climates like Oaksdale where 435 mm of annual rain accelerates corrosion in steel. Choose aluminum and you eliminate rust worry across the roof's lifetime.
Can my house support metal roofing, or do I need structural upgrades?
Most homes do not need reinforcement. Interlock's Shake profile weighs only 0.58 lb/sq ft, and the Mediterranean Tile—which replicates heavy tile aesthetics—is about 96% lighter than concrete or clay tile. This ultralight design means Interlock installs directly over most existing asphalt roofs without tearing them off. A concrete tile roof of similar appearance would demand structural reinforcement costing thousands. Your framing will actually carry less load with metal, extending the life of your home's supporting timbers.
Is a metal roof worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?
On a true lifetime cost basis, yes. Asphalt lasts 15–20 years; you will tear it off and landfill it, then reroof twice more before metal reaches year 50. Interlock's lifetime limited warranty (non-prorated for the original owner, 50 years transferable to the next owner) eliminates that replacement cycle. Material cost is higher upfront, but you avoid tearoff debris fees, labor for two more reroofs, and disposal costs. Given Oaksdale's 112 cm snow and 89 freeze-thaw days annually—conditions that accelerate asphalt failure—metal saves money long-term. Current financing offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation.
Will high winds rip off a metal roof in Oaksdale?
No. Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph when installed to specification. Oaksdale's typical gusts reach about 103 km/h (64 mph), well below the warranty threshold. The four-way interlocking design means each panel locks mechanically to its neighbors—wind cannot lift or separate them. Unlike asphalt shingles, which can tear from gust edges, metal panels shed wind forces across the entire locked system. This durability is verified under UL standards and backed by The Guardian Warranty.
Does metal roofing survive hail without dents, and do insurers offer discounts?
Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating—the highest available—and the warranty covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. Class 4 means steel balls dropped from 20 feet cause no damage. Many insurers recognize this and offer 15–25% discounts on homeowners policies for Class 4 metal roofs, offsetting installation cost over a few years. Oaksdale's freeze-thaw climate means hail is less frequent than in the plains, but when it occurs, aluminum's non-denting character and verified impact resistance provide security asphalt cannot match.
How much maintenance does a metal roof require in Oaksdale's wet climate?
Virtually none. Aluminum roofing requires no replacement shingles, no tar patching, and no seasonal inspections for rot or curling (problems asphalt develops within 15 years of Oaksdale's 435 mm annual rain and 89 freeze-thaw cycles). The Alunar coating, warranted 30 years against fading, handles the region's roughly 3320 annual sunshine hours without degradation. Occasional gutter cleaning and moss prevention on shaded areas—tasks asphalt roofs also need—are your only maintenance. Metal roofing is CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance, meaning lower long-term cost and less environmental impact.
Does metal roofing help cool my home in summer or reduce heating costs?
Yes. Interlock's energy-efficient colors have thermal emissivity up to 0.84 and solar reflectance up to 0.55, reflecting heat that asphalt absorbs. In summer, this reduces air-conditioning load; in winter, lower surface temperature reduces heat loss through the roof. The Cool Roof Rating Council certifies this performance. Oaksdale's roughly 3320 sunshine hours annually mean a reflective roof saves measurably on summer cooling. Over a 50-year lifespan, these energy savings add up—modest gains compounded across decades and recorded in utility bills.
Who installs Interlock metal roofing in Oaksdale, and how long does the job take?
Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. serves Oaksdale and Lewis County; the company has installed roofs in the region since 1997, giving it deep knowledge of local snow loads, wind patterns, and freeze-thaw conditions. Installation typically takes 3–5 days depending on roof size and complexity. Because Interlock panels install over most existing asphalt roofs without tearoff, labor is faster and cleanup minimal. The local installer backs every job with The Guardian Warranty and can explain how Interlock's ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790, reissued 2025) meets Oaksdale's building code. Ask about financing: no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation.
Is a metal roof a good choice for Oaksdale’s climate?
Yes. Oaksdale averages about 112 cm of snow, 435 mm of rain, roughly 89 freeze–thaw days a year, with peak wind gusts near 103 km/h. Interlock® aluminum roofing is wind-rated to 193+ km/h (120 mph), UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and Class A fire-rated, and its four-way interlocking panels shed snow and resist ice dams and freeze–thaw cracking — all backed by a lifetime limited, transferable warranty.
