What our customers are saying:
It's been about 6 weeks since our new roof was completed, and we are thrilled with the result. The whole process from start to finish was seamless and very efficient. As a salesperson myself, I was impressed with the 'no pressure' approach to selling us the roof and the information that was provided to us to make an informed decision on the type of roof for our home. We chose the black slate and it looks very smart and has transformed the look of our home considerably. Since the roof was installed, we have had the usual mixed bag of Washington weather - heavy rain, hail, strong winds, and frost. Our roof has been put to the test and passed with flying colors. Frank observed the installation process and was impressed with the seamless flashing, custom-made on site, and state of the art vent coverings. Our roof looks beautiful and stands out from the others in our neighborhood. We were particularly impressed with the workmanship of Victor and Mark Lomakin, the two men who installed the roof. They were punctual, fast, courteous, respectful, efficient and very professional. Our neighbors also commented on how well they worked. When the roof was complete, they cleared away all debris and even removed the unwanted satellite dish from our roof. It couldn't have gone better. We received all the financial documentation in a timely manner and all of the employees we have dealt with have been very knowledgeable and helpful. Our only criticism is that it would be nice to have an online payment facility for overpayments. Currently the only way to do that is to mail a payment to Canada but we don't have checks so we would have to purchase money orders and mail them as we intend to make over-payments along the way. We would happily recommend Interlock to anyone looking for a new roof. Kind regards Jennifer and Frank Herboldsheimer Ocean Shores, WA

Metal Roofing FAQs for Homeowners in Seabrook
The following metal roofing FAQs are designed specifically for homeowners in Seabrook, Washington. Whether you are building a new home or replacing an existing roof, understanding how roofing materials perform in local weather conditions is essential. From wind and storm protection to fire resistance, hail impact, snow loads, and coastal moisture exposure, Interlock’s Lifetime Aluminum Roofing System is engineered to provide long-term durability, energy efficiency, and peace of mind in Seabrook.
How does a metal roof handle Seabrook's heavy snow and freeze-thaw cycles?
Metal roofs shed snow efficiently because their smooth, hard surface prevents ice dams and reduces the freeze-thaw damage that degrades asphalt within 15–20 years. Seabrook receives about 60 cm of snow annually and experiences roughly 38 freeze-thaw days per year—conditions that crack and curl traditional shingles. Interlock's four-way interlocking aluminum panels stay rigid through repeated temperature swings. The panels are warranted to resist wind gusts up to 120 mph, so heavy snow loads won't stress the fasteners or seams. Add optional snow guards to control slide-off, and your roof survives the wettest Pacific Northwest winters without the maintenance burden.
Why choose aluminum roofing instead of steel in a coastal-influenced climate like Seabrook's?
Steel rusts because iron oxidizes; aluminum cannot rust because it contains no iron. Instead, aluminum develops a self-healing oxide layer that protects the metal underneath. In Seabrook's moisture-rich environment—with 2305 mm of rain annually—this matters enormously. Interlock uses roofing-grade 3105-H24 and 3003-H24 aluminum alloy (ASTM B209) and applies Alunar 70% PVDF fluorocarbon finish to both sides of every panel, warranted 30 years against chalking and fading. Steel roofs require constant vigilance against rust breakthrough; aluminum roofs do not. That's why Interlock has installed panels from salt-air coastal homes to Antarctic research stations.
Does a metal roof hold up to hail, and can it lower my insurance?
Yes—Interlock achieves UL 2218 Class 4, the highest impact rating available, and the warranty even covers perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches. That resilience often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts on comprehensive coverage. Seabrook's climate doesn't feature frequent severe hail, but the 120 mph wind gusts and 38 freeze-thaw cycles per year put other roofing materials under constant stress. Metal's non-dent, impact-resistant surface eliminates the cosmetic and structural damage that triggers claims. When you file for hail or wind damage, adjusters see a roof that has actually protected your home, not one that's already failing.
What warranty comes with an Interlock metal roof, and how long will it really last?
The Guardian Warranty is a lifetime limited, non-prorated material warranty for the original owner—covering rusting, rotting, splitting, cracking, curling, and loss of impact resistance. It transfers once to the next owner for 50 years from completion, adding measurable resale appeal. Asphalt shingles typically fail within 15–20 years in climates like Seabrook's, where 2305 mm of annual rainfall and 38 freeze-thaw days accelerate degradation. Metal roofs routinely last 40–60 years with zero structural replacement. Because Interlock has manufactured these panels since 1998 and installed them across three decades and every climate zone, you're not betting on a new company's promise—you're buying proven durability.
Is a metal roof really worth the upfront cost compared to asphalt shingles?
Over a 50-year period, metal roofing costs less than the cycle of multiple asphalt reroof jobs. An asphalt roof in Seabrook lasts 15–20 years and then requires complete tear-off, disposal, and reinstallation—typically three replacements in the lifetime of one metal roof. Interlock's metal roof is a one-time investment that never decays. Current promotion offers no payments and no interest until Spring 2027 or 10% off installation, bringing upfront cost into reach. The Alunar coating is warranted 30 years against fading, so your curb appeal doesn't fade while you're still paying off the roof. Calculate total cost of ownership over 50 years, not price per square foot today.
Can an older Seabrook home's structure support a metal roof, or will I need reinforcement?
No expensive structural reinforcement is needed. Interlock's aluminum is extraordinarily light—the Shingle profile installs at 0.41 lb/sq ft, and the Mediterranean Tile profile weighs just 0.59 lb/sq ft, making it about 96% lighter than traditional concrete or clay tile. Most homes can install over the existing roof without additional framing. Compare that to slate or clay tile, which demand structural beams and engineering—metal roofing solves that problem. With Seabrook's 60 cm annual snow load and 106 km/h wind gusts, the lightweight design actually improves load distribution and reduces strain on fasteners and flashing. Your existing roof structure almost certainly supports this upgrade without modification.
With 2305 mm of rain yearly in Seabrook, how does metal roofing prevent leaks?
Interlock's four-way interlocking panels create a continuous lap-and-seal system that sheds water by design, not chance. The overlapping geometry and mechanical interlock eliminate the nail-hole vulnerability that plagues asphalt shingles. Heavy rainfall—Seabrook averages about 2305 mm per year—stresses membrane seal points; metal roofing avoids membranes altogether. Installation over solid decking with quality underlayment ensures that water has nowhere to pool or back up behind seams. The ICC-ES evaluation (ESR-1790) confirms these panels meet IRC/IBC standards for water intrusion. Properly installed, they perform identically to asphalt in rain tests—and they keep performing after 40 years, when asphalt roofs are long gone.
How much maintenance does a metal roof need in the Pacific Northwest?
Virtually none. Asphalt shingles require regular inspection, moss removal, debris clearing, and seal reapplication—especially in wet climates. Interlock metal roofing requires a visual inspection every few years and clearing of heavy debris after storms; that's it. The Alunar PVDF finish is rated CALGreen-verified for reduced maintenance, and the non-porous aluminum surface resists algae and moss growth that thrive in Seabrook's 2789 hours of annual sunshine and constant moisture. You'll never apply sealant, never replace rotting wood, never worry about curling or splitting. Wood shake roofs in the region demand annual inspection and expensive repairs. Metal roofing frees you from that cycle—one decision that eliminates decades of maintenance headaches.
How long does installation take, and can you install over my existing roof?
Installation typically takes 2–5 days depending on roof size and complexity. Yes, Interlock panels install directly over most existing roofs—no tear-off required, which saves time and disposal cost. Seabrook's wet climate makes a quick installation valuable; you're exposed to rain for days, not weeks. The lightweight design (the Shake profile at 0.58 lb/sq ft) means no structural prep work before the crew arrives. Interlock Metal Roofing (PNW) Inc. has served this region since 1997 and understands local conditions, permits, and seasonal windows. They'll assess your specific roof, confirm the existing structure supports the installation, and schedule around Seabrook's 2305 mm annual rainfall to minimize weather delays.
Will a metal roof survive Seabrook's winter wind gusts without damage or noise?
Yes on both counts. Interlock panels are warranted to resist wind speeds up to 120 mph (193 km/h), far exceeding Seabrook's typical gusts of about 106 km/h. The four-way interlocking mechanical design transfers wind load across the entire roof plane, not through individual fasteners. Metal roofs aren't loud in rain—installation over solid decking with underlayment produces the same sound profile as asphalt shingles. The rigid aluminum panels don't flutter or vibrate in wind the way thin metal can. Winter storms bring both heavy rain (2305 mm annually) and strong gusts; Interlock's engineered integration of panel interlock, fastening, and base structure handles both without separation, leaks, or noise.
